  • This paper investigates the relationship between compactness and pseudo-compactness in subsets of C(X) where X is locally compact and first countable. Two primary theorems are proven. First, equicontinuity at a point is proven to be equivalent to the existence of a certain open cover of a pseudo-compact subset of C(X). The second theorem proves the equivalence of compactness and pseudo-compctness for closed subsets F of C(X).

  • We consider pseudo-symmetric and Ricci generalized pseudo-symmetric N(${\kappa}$) contact metric manifolds. We also consider N(${\kappa}$)-contact metric manifolds satisfying the condition $S{\cdot}R$ = 0 where R and S denote the curvature tensor and the Ricci tensor respectively. Finally we give some examples.

  • This paper studies Young diagrams of symmetric and pseudo-symmetric numerical semigroups and describes new operations on Young diagrams as well as numerical semigroups. These provide new decompositions of symmetric and pseudo-symmetric semigroups into a numerical semigroup and its dual. It is also given exactly for what kind of numerical semigroup S, the semigroup ring 𝕜⟦S⟧ has at least one Gorenstein subring and has at least one Kunz subring.

  • We introduce a new concept of Stepanov weighted pseudo almost periodic functions of class r which have been established by recently in [20]. Furthermore, we study the uniqueness and existence of Stepanov weighted pseudo almost periodic mild solutions of partial neutral functional differential equations having the Stepanov pseudo almost periodic forcing terms on finite delay.

  • A finitely generated torsion module M for ℤp[[T, T2, ⋯ , Td]] is pseudo-null if M/TM is pseudo-null over ℤp[[T2, ⋯ , Td]]. This result is used as a tool to prove the generalized Greenberg's conjecture in certain cases. The converse may not be true. In this paper, we give examples of pseudo-null Iwasawa modules whose reduction are not pseudo-null.

  • This paper considers pseudo Jordan homomorphisms on module extensions of Banach algebras and triangular Banach algebras. We characterize pseudo Jordan homomorphisms on module extensions of Banach algebras and triangular Banach algebras. Moreover, we define pseudo derivations on the above stated Banach algebras and characterize this new notion on those algebras.

  • In this paper, bi-slant pseudo-Riemannian submersions from para-Kaehler manifolds onto pseudo-Riemannian manifolds are introduced. We examine some geometric properties of three types of bi-slant submersions. We give non-trivial examples of such submersions. Moreover, we obtain curvature relations between the base space, total space and the fibers.

  • We obtain a structured class of frames in separable Hilbert spaces which are generalizations of Gabor frames in L2(ℝ) in their construction aspects. For this, the concept of Gabor type unitary systems in [13] is generalized by considering a system of invertible operators in place of unitary systems. Pseudo Gabor like frames and pseudo Gabor frames are introduced and the corresponding frame operators are characterized.

  • In this thesis, the cognition of students gifted in science on pseudo science was studied in order to acquire basic data to develop a learning program. As a first step, the difference of cognition on pseudo science between science-gifted students and general students in elementary, middle and high schools was studied. Findings revealed that science-gifted students had more negative thought on pseudo science than general students. In addition, there was no progress in their cognition on pseudo science as entered higher grades. Secondly, the cognition of students in a science high school, three times over a 6-month period, was studied. Through this study, it was found that student concepts of pseudo science was not firm, and it is quite possible to induce students to think logically and rationally with the help of a well-organized learning program. Lastly, the factors that might affect student ideas on pseudo science were researched. Students were affected by media such as television and books and also by personal experience. Therefore, students should be trained to correctly judge information presented in the media as authentic or false. Moreover, they should also be provided chances to look back on positive astrological experiences.
