Continuance Use Intention of Kiosk Services: The Mediating Role of Satisfaction (외식업체 키오스크의 지속 이용 의도에 대한 연구: 만족도의 매개효과를 중심으로)

  • In the food market, kiosks are rapidly expanding. The kiosk improves the in-store consumer experience and economic prosperity of businesses. This research explores the continuance use intention of kiosks via a post-acceptance model with four antecedent variables: perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, confirmation, and satisfaction. An online survey was conducted with 420 senior consumers, aged 50-70, who have experienced kiosk services. This study used SPSS 25.0 for descriptive analysis and Amos 23.0 for confirmatory factor anlysis, structural equation analysis, and mediate the effect of the bootstrapping method. The following results were obtained. First, perceived usefulness and confirmation significantly influenced satisfaction with kiosks. Second, perceived usefulness and satisfaction significantly influenced continuance use intention. Third, satisfaction mediated the relationship between perceived usefulness and continuance use intention. Fourth, satisfaction mediated the relationship between confirmation and continuance use intention. These findings enhanced the understanding of seniors' attitude and response to kiosk services.

Exploring the Determinants of Users' Continuance Intention to Use Mobile Banking Services in Kuwait: Extending the Expectation-Confirmation Model

  • While a great body of information systems (IS) literature has discussed mobile banking (m-banking) services, most of these studies have focused on the adoption or acceptance phases of this technology; with little attention was given to users' intension to continue using such technology. This paper aims at investigating the most important factors that predict users' continuous intension to use m-banking services in the post-adoption phase. This paper presents a conceptualization and validation of an extended expectation-confirmation model (ECM). A total of 303 Kuwaiti users of m-banking services participated in this study. Partial least squares (PLS) of structure equation modelling (SEM) technique was used to analyze the data. The results mainly showed that users' continuous intension to use m-banking services is significantly influenced by perceived trust, satisfaction, self-efficacy, performance expectancy and effort expectancy. Theoretical and practical contributions as well as the research limitations and future directions are discussed.

Effects of the User Perception on Symbolic Adoption and Usage in Mandatory ATCIS-II Use (ATCIS-II의 사용이 의무적인 사용자의 인식이 심적 채택과 사용에 미치는 영향)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to propose useful suggestions by analyzing causal effect relationship between perceived usefulness (PU), perceived ease-of-use (PEOU), symbolic adoption (SA) which have four constructs, and ATCIS-II usage in mandatory context. Methods: Based on prior research, a research model was constructed using the variables of Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), the symbolic adoption theory, and the post-adoptive behavior variables. A structured questionnaire was conducted for those who use ATCIS-II in Republic of Korea Army (ROKA), and a total of 183 usable responses were collected and empirically analyzed using SmartPLS 3.3.9. Results: The results of this study are as follows; PEOU have a significant effect on PU and two constructs of SA (heightened enthusiasm, effort worthiness). PU have a significant effect on every construct of SA (heightened enthusiasm, mental acceptance, effort worthiness, use commitment). In addition, it was found that heightened enthusiasm have a significant effect on both expanded usage and exploratory usage. Also, mental acceptance and use commitment have a significant effect on exploratory usage. Conclusion: The findings of this empirical study have implications for proposing SA can explain mandated user's behavior and giving possible way that improve organization performance which adopt Information System (IS) by motivating end-user to extend IS's feature and explore new ways of using IS at work.

Relationship Between Attachment, Post-traumatic Growth, and Self-realization of Middle-aged Women (중년여성의 애착, 외상 후 성장 및 자기실현과의 관계)

  • This study examines the types and characteristics of traumatic events middle-aged women experience and to explore the effects of attachment in the process of post-traumatic growth and forming a self-realization. 221 of participants were middle-aged women from the area of Seoul, Gyeong-Gi and the survey was composed of post-traumatic experience questionnaire, attachment scale, post-traumatic growth scale, self-realization scale. The type and characteristics of traumatic experience by middle-aged women were executed by frequency analysis and correlation with the structural equation model validation was used in order to analyze the relationship between each variable. the major findings are First, the loss of someone close(such as death, breaking up, divorce, breaking off) was reported as something general yet the biggest crisis event, Second, looking at the relationship between attachment, post-traumatic growth and self-realization, the secure parental attachment and spiritual transformation showed the correlation in all subregions except the subvariables of humanity and self-acceptance and Third, the results of Structural Equation Modeling shows that attachment has a static effect on post-traumatic growth and self-realization, and post-traumatic growth appeared to be the mediating factor of attachment and self-realization.

Satisfaction and Continuous Use Intention of Internet-only Banks (케이뱅크와 카카오뱅크 이용자들의 만족도와 지속 사용 의도의 결정 요인)

  • Internet-based financial services are being increasingly integrated into consumers' daily lives. Internet-only banks have emerged as a powerful tool accelerating financial inclusion. This study investigates the satisfaction and continuous use intention predictors for Internet-only banks. We employed an extended post-acceptance model and used six antecedent factors that included perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, privacy risk, functional risk, subjective norms, and network externality. All 351 participants used Internet-only banks and were 20-40 years of age. A self-administration online survey was conducted. SPSS 23.0 analyzed the frequency, description, and multiple regression analysis. The results of current study are as follows. The education, perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, and network externality positively influenced the satisfaction of Internet-only banks. Privacy risk negatively influenced satisfaction with Internet-only banks. Perceived ease of use, subjective norm, network externality, and satisfaction positively influenced the continuous use intention of Internet-only banks. The results of our study provide a better explanation of important factors that could enhance the understanding of satisfaction and continuous use intention for Internet-only banks. Furthermore, this study extends the antecedent variables to the knowledge of financial services and enlarges the understanding of users' post-adoption behaviors.

  • The Purpose of this research was to identify the factors have influenced Word-of-mouth with a personal Innovativeness in using QR code and to get an advertising & marketing side implication. For this, researcher examined a SEM (structural equating model) methodology of the route from the study on the influencing factors the QR code user's pre and post acceptance behavior and applied the examined variables, existing Expanded TAM, TRAM, PAM which is a contribution points. As a result of this study, first, it was confirmed that the personal innovativeness affected user's perceived usefulness, joyfulness, use intention, and satisfaction. Second, it was confirmed that innovativeness affected perceived usefulness, use intention and this route connected to WOM, in other side, it was discussed that innovativeness affected joyfulness, satisfaction and this route connected to WOM. The above result means that 'joyfulness', 'satisfaction' are important elements, in terms of marketing aspect, for the companies to take an advantage of QR Code as a means of advertising. It should be understood that users don't spend their time on the service having no joy as quality of life improves. After all, it means that uninteresting QR Code isn't suitable for mediums of advertising.

  • In this paper, we design Real-Time Postal Logistics Operational Model and System as a to-be system. Current postal logistics information system, named PostNet, is a basic infra system designed for an end-to-end IT-driven process, from mail acceptance to delivery, linked with internal and external systems. Recent competing circumstances drive demand for more intelligent information system. So we design real-time postal logistics operational system focused on site operations. we analyze postal logistics operation and interview field workers and establish real-time postal logistics operational model to solve operational issues. Finally we suggest system specifications.

  • This paper summarizes full-scale test results on CFT column-to-flat plate connections subjected to gravity loading. CFT construction has gained wide acceptance in a relatively short time in domestic building construction practice due to its various structural and construction advantages. However, efficient details for CFT column to flat plate connections have not been proposed yet. Based on the strategies that maximize economical field construction, several connecting schemes were proposed and tested. Test results showed that the proposed connections can exhibit punching shear strength and connection stiffness exceeding those of R/C flat plate counterparts. A semi-analytical procedure is presented to model the behavior of CFT column-to-flat plate connections. The five parameters to model elastic to post-punching catenary action range are calibrated based on the limited test data of this study. The application of the proposed modeling procedure to progressive collapse prevention design is also illustrated.

A Study on User Satisfaction and Continuance Use Intention of Mobile Easy Payment Service User (간편결제 서비스 사용자의 사용만족과 지속사용의도에 관한 연구 - ECM과 UTAUT을 중심으로)

  • As the easy payment service is popularized and the competition in the service market is fierce, research on factors affecting users' continuous use of the easy payment service is becoming increasingly important. However, in the existing studies, the discussion of the continuous intention to use the consumer's simple payment service has not been sufficiently conducted. Existing research remains on the way of listing technology and consumer characteristics. To bridge this research gap, this study aims to integrate and modify ECM and UTAUT to consider factors influencing the continuous use of easy payment services. The user's expectations and the confirmation were considered as important factors to decide. For empirical analysis, a survey was conducted for 236 users who had experience with domestic easy payment service. As a result, it was verified that confirmation, performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, and habit in regard to easy payment services are important for continuous use intention. Through this study, it is expected that the consumer's technology acceptance mechanism on the continuous use of simple payment will be grasped in more detail to develop academic discussions in the field. Implications from the results as well as limitations of the study are presented.

  • Near-Field Communication(NFC) is a useful technology that is receiving worldwide attention. NFC mobile payment systems are being developed by many technology companies including financial institutions especially for the public transportation. In this research we find several factors for the intention to adopt NFC payment system. We surveyed 355 respondents who live in Ho Chi Minh city, Vietnam which became more interested by Korean as a post China country to test our research hypothesis. Using Technology Acceptance Model(TAM) we find that the factors of Social influence, Trust, Security, and Users' Convenience play the significant role to the factor of Intention to Use of NFC payment system.
