Development of the hybrid-type ultrasound speaker (하이브리드형 초음파 스피커 개발)

  • Directional ultrasonic speakers that are used to hear sound only in a specific area have been continuously researched on various improvements in terms of sound quality and cost compared to general speakers. In this paper, we propose a DSP based hybrid-type ultrasonic speaker that can be heard at the same time as a general speaker in order to compensate for the sound in the low-band range, considering that it is difficult to hear the low-band sound below 500 Hz due to the sensor characteristics of the ultrasonic speaker. In the case of the system that is implemented by simply connecting a general speaker and an ultrasonic speaker, there are issues of high cost and difficulties of control as two amplifiers are used to playback ultrasonic and general sound sources. In addition, sound quality deteriorates due to the difference in playback time between ultrasonic and general sound sources. In order to improve issues of cost, control and sound quality, we developed hybrid-type ultrasonic speaker with a DSP based amplifier that can simultaneously playback by synchronizing the general sound source with the regenerated ultrasonic sound source, in addition to implement the existing CODEC functions such as Dynamic Range Control (DRC) and Equalizer (EQ).

  • In this paper we first introduce a space of homogeneous type X, and we consider a kind of generalized upper half-space X $\times$ (0, $\infty$). We are mainly concerned with some inequalities in terms of Carleson measures or in terms of certain maximal operators with respect to general approach regions in X $\times$ (0, $\infty$). The main tool of the proof is the Whitney decomposition.

  • It is well known that plurigenus does not vanish for a sufficiently large multiple on a canonical threefold over $\mathbb{C}$. There is Reid Fletcher formula for plurigenus. But, unlike in the case of surface of general type, it is not easy to compute plurigenus. In this paper, we in-duce a different version of Reid-Fletcher formula and show that the constant term in the induced formula has periodic properties. Using these properties we have an application to nonvanishing of plurigenus.

  • We construct the extension of a hyperelliptic K3 surface to a Fano 6-fold with extraordinary properties in moduli. This leads us to a family of surfaces of general type with $p_g=1$, q = 0, $K^2=2$ and hyperelliptic canonical curve, each of which is a weighted complete inter-section inside a Fano 6-fold. Finally, we use these hyperelliptic surfaces to determine an 8-parameter family of Godeaux surfaces with ${\pi}_1={\mathbb{Z}}/2$.

  • In this paper, we prove a general uniqueness theorem which is useful for proving the uniqueness of the relevant additive mapping, quadratic mapping, cubic mapping, quartic mapping, or the additive-quadratic-cubic-quartic mapping when we investigate the (generalized) Hyers-Ulam stability.

  • The aim of this study is to propose the desirable plan of the diagnostic radiology department in general hospital. The main contents and results of this study are as follows. 1. By investigating and analyzing the activities and circulation of the patients and staffs in diagnostic radiology department, the activity model of the department was extracted. 2. The types of operating system of the department were extracted and activity model by the operating systems were made. 3. The types of the plan of the department were classified into three types, such as confusing-corridor type, separated-corridor type and contract type. 4. After dividing them into eight types in detail, the merits and demerits of each type were analyzed. 5. Among those types contact types were evaluated best in comparison with the other types in terms of efficiency of staff's work, access of patients to staffs and reduction of staffs movement.

  • One of the main objective of manufacturing industries is to assess the capability performance of different processes. In this paper, we use the lifetime performance index $C_L$ as a criterion to measure larger-the-better type quality characteristic for evaluating the product performance. The lifetimes of products are assumed to follow a general class of inverted exponentiated distributions. We use maximum likelihood estimator to estimate the lifetime performance index under the assumption that data are progressive type I interval censored. We also obtain asymptotic distribution of this estimator. Based on this estimator, a new hypothesis testing procedure is developed with respect to a given lower specification limit. Finally, two numerical examples are discussed in support of the proposed testing procedure.

  • This paper presents a characteristics of horizontal swing angle in V type suspension string sets for 765kV T/L. The design of V type suspension string set does not differ from that of general string set for general towers, but it prevents instabilities from swing motion by the horizontal angle and by the wind pressure. We were designed specially 6 conductor yoke, arcing horn and earth horn. And we were decided to 550mm for a distance of strings. We were carried out characteristics of horizontal swing test and movement of mass center test for V-string sets of 400kN single, 300kN double and 400kN double. This products will be used for 765kV T/L of 1 circuit in suspension towers.
