This paper presents a neuro fuzzy system(NFS) for implementing fuzzy inference system with a monotonic membership function. The modeling and control of a discrete nonlinear system using a NFS is described. The membership function parameters of a identifier and controller are adjusted by back-propagation algorithm. These identifier and controller is constructed to proposed NFS. A on-line identification and control are accomplished by this NFS. A controller is gived information of the system, that is variation of the system output according to that of the control input by a identifier. A controller makes control input in order to control discrete-time nonlinear system. A Simulation is presented to demonstrate the efficiency of a suggested method.
This paper addresses analysis and design of a fuzzy model-based-controller for the control of uncertain SISO nonlinear systems. In the design procedure, we represent the nonlinear system by using a Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy model and construct a global fuzzy logic controller via parallel distributed compensation and sliding mode control. Unlike other parallel distributed controllers, this globally stable fuzzy controller is designed without finding a common positive definite matrix for a set of Lyapunov equations, and has good tracking performance. The stability analysis is conducted not for the fuzzy model but for the real underlying nonlinear system. Furthermore, the proposed method can be applied to partially known uncertain nonlinear systems. A numerical simulation is performed for the control of an inverted pendulum, to show the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed fuzzy control method.

In this paper, we design a robust adaptive controller for a nonlinear system with uncertainties to be rejected via disturbance adaptation law. The nonlinear system considered has unknown nonlinear functions being influenced by external disturbance. The upper bound of unknown nonlinear functions at each time is estimated by using a disturbance adaptation law. The estimated nonlinear functions are used to design a stabilizing function a control input. Tuning function is used to estimates unknown system parameter without overparametrization. A set-point regulation error converges to a residual set close to zero asymptotically. The effectiveness of the proposed controller is investigated by computer simulation.
A lot of researcher have proposed a method of kernel identifying nonlinear system by use of Wiener kernels[6-7] or Volterra kernel[5] and so on. In this research, the authors proposed a method of identifying Volterra kernels for nonlinear system by use of pseudorandom M-sequence in which a crosscorrelation function between input and output of a nonlinear system is taken[4]. we can be applied to an MISO nonlinear system or a system which depends on its input amplitude[2]. But, there exist many systems in which it is difficult to determine a Volterra kernel having the same time coordinate on the crosscorrelation function. In those cases, we have to estimate Volterra kernel by using its neighboring points[4]. In this paper, we propose a new method for not estimating but obtaining Volterra kernel having the same time coordinate using calculation between the neighboring points. Some numerical simulations show that this method is effective for obtaining higher order Volterra kernel of nonlinear control systems.
This paper deals with MCMBPC(Multivariable Constrained Model Based Predictive Controller) for nonlinear boiler system with noise and disturbance. MCMBPC is designed by linear state space model obtained from some operating point of nonlinear boiler system and Kalman filter is used to estimate the state with noise and disturbance. The solution of optimization of the cost function constrained on input and/or output variables is achieved using quadratic programming, viz. singular value decomposition (SVD). The controller designed is shown to have excellent tracking performance via simulation applied to nonlinear dynamic drum boiler turbine model for 16OMW unit.

We consider single-input nonlinear systems with unknown unmodelled time-varying parameters or disturbances which are bounded. The main goal is to identify classes of uncertain systems for which the control exist and to provide constructive design procedures. Assuming that the undisturbed nominal system ( ,g) is partially state feedback linearizable, that a strict triangularity condition, a linear parametrization condition, and {{{{ { G}_{r-1 } }}}} hold for the uncertain terms, and that some condition is satisfied in the transformed partially linear system, we design an adaptive regulating dynamic control. At first, we identify classes of nonlinear uncertain systems and give a systematic procedure for the design of a robust regulation for the nonlinear systems.
This paper describes robust stabilization of nonlinear single-input uncertain systems without matching conditions. We consider nonlinear systems with a vector of unknown constant parameters perturbed about a known value. The approach utilizes the generalized controller canonical form to lump the unmatched uncertainties recursively into the matched ones. This can be achieved via nonlinear coordinate transformations which depend not only on the states of the nonlinear system but also on the control input. Then the dynamic robust control law is derived and the stability result is also presented.
This paper is dealing with a design of linear controller so that the plant output is regulated to follow a reference model output when the plant equation is described by a class of nonlinear time-varying control systems.
In practice, the property of nonlinearity is contained in all physical systems. In other word, all physical systems are nonlinear to some degree. Therefore it is important that we acquires a facility for analyzing feedback control systems with varying degrees of nonlinearity. To operate the system linearly over wide range of variation of signal amplitude and frequency, the system requires components of an extremely high quality. Such a system would probably be impractical in the view points of cost, space and weight. In this context of view, it is worth noting that the nonlinearities may be intentionally introduced into a system in order to compensate for the effects of other undesirable nonlinearities or to obtain better performance than what could be achieved using linear element only. A simple example of an intentional nonlinearity is the use of a nonlinear damped system to optimize response in accordance with the magnitude of error. In this paper, an on-off type nonlinear controller is introduced and the applicability and validity of a simple on-off controller are presented by the experimental result.

A decentralized adaptive control method is proposed for large-scale systems with unknown time-delayed nonlinear interconnections unmatched in control inputs. It is assumed that the time-delayed interaction terms are bounded by unknown nonlinear bounding functions. The nonlinear bounding functions and uncertain nonlinear functions of large-scale systems are compensated by the function approximation technique using neural networks. The dynamic surface control method is extended to design the proposed memoryless local controller for each subsystem of uncertain nonlinear large-scale time delay systems. Therefore, although the interconnected systems consist of a large number of subsystems, the proposed controller can be designed simply. We prove that all the signals in the total closed-loop system are semiglobally uniformly bounded and the control errors converge to an adjustable neighborhood of the origin. Finally, an example is given to demonstrate the effectiveness and applicability of the proposed scheme.
