동태적 기술수준 측정 방법에 대한 이론적 접근 : 차세대성장동력 기술의 사례분석 (A theoretical approach and its application for a dynamic method of estimating and analyzing science and technology levels : case application to ten core technologies for the next generation growth engine)

  • 과학기술 수준을 정확히 측정 분석하기 위해서는 우리 기술수준과 비교대상의 위치, 그리고 해당 기술의 이론적인 상한 수준을 우선 전제해야만 한다. 그리고 각각의 기술변화 정도를 파악하는 것이 추가적으로 필요하다. 우리나라 및 비교대상에 대한 동태적 측면이 고려되어 현재의 위치와 함께 과정과 경로도 중요시 되어야 한다. 이를 위해서 이 연구는 기술발전 단계와 성장곡선 개념을 활용하는 방안을 제시한다. 이론적 및 가상적 사례 적용 결과, 우리나라 기술수준의 향상은 뚜렷하게 보이고 있으나 같은 기간에 지속적으로 변화하고 있는 세계최고기술 수준과는 여전히 격차가 존재하는 것으로 추정된다. 추정 결과가 사실이라고 가정할 경우, 우리나라 기술의 실질적인 추격의 가능성은 그리 크지 않은 것으로 보인다. 특히, 바이오신약 장기 분야와 지능형로봇 분야의 경우에는 세계최고기술 수준과의 격차기간이 더욱 벌어지고 있는 것으로 추정되어 해당 분야에 대한 실질적이고, 심층적인 검토 및 분석이 시급히 요구된다. 이 연구는 기술수준 측정과 분석을 성장곡선 유형의 추정을 통해 위상분석과 변화과정을 파악하여 궁극적인 추격의 가능성을 제시한다. 이론적 타당성과 현실적 적용성에 대한 검증을 위해 향후 구체적인 사례분석이 필요하다.

우크라이나 풍력발전 현황 및 전망 (Current Status and Prospects of Ukrainian Wind Energy)

  • As is the case in Korea, the expansion of renewable energy dissemination is an essential matter in Ukraine when considering its energy consumption and dependence on energy import. While Korea has set about promoting the new and renewable energy industry on the back of the national policy on green growth, Ukraine expects a virtuous circle of renewable energy industry with green tariffs and the attraction of foreign capital in association with carbon emission trade. Utilizing its well-developed heavy industrial sector including the shipbuilding and automobile industries, Korea expects wind turbine manufacturing to become one of its next-generation growth engines. Ukraine is also trying to enter the wind turbine system or parts manufacturing industry based on its automobile industry and advanced aerospace technology. Although the Crimean region in Ukraine seems to have excellent wind resources, and thus shows great potential as a location for wind farm development, political instability has been a major obstacle to the attraction of foreign capital, leading to delayed investment.

Next Generation Dairy Processing Science and Technology: Functional and Rational in Dairy Industry

  • The dairy industry, as part of the broader agricultural sector, is classified as a basic industry to the Korea economy. Basic industries provide income to a region by producing an output, purchasing production inputs, services and labor. An integrated, multidisciplinary approach for the next generation of dairy products with added health benefits represent the direct economic contribution. The commercialization of "nutritional" functional foods can only be successful if the consumer is confident in the scientific validity of the claims. Modern biotechnologies such as genomics, genetic expression and biomarkers of health performance suggested to whole dairy products, such as fluid milk, butter, cheese, ice cream and frozen dessert products (German, 1999). The following definition makes the point that dairy products can provide a nutritional value beyond the basic nutritional requirements: 1) The dairy industry has the opportunity to improve the health and well-being of its customers and/or to reduce their risk of disease through dairy products with added activities. 2) Functional dairy products are those that can be demonstrated to benefit target functions in the body in a way that improves the state of health and /or reduces the risk of disease. They are food products that are consumed as part of a normal diet rather than pills or supplements. 3) Dairy products based on functionality will need to link the scientific basis of such functionality to the communication of its benefit to the general public. 4) Both the efficacy and the safety of the food components with health benefits will require evidence based on the measurement of scientific biomarkers relevant to their biological responses and health end points. 5) Sound evidence from human studies based on intermediate health end points using accepted biomarkers will provide the basis for promotional messages divided into two categories-enhanced function and reduced risk of disease. 6) Success in solving key scientific and technological challenges will only be achieved by interdisciplinary research programs to exploit the scientific concepts in functional dairy science.

전사 방법에 따른 그래핀의 물 접촉각 변화 (Water Contact Angles of Graphene Transferred by Wet and Dry Transfer Methods)

  • Graphene is a monolayer of carbon atoms (approximately 0.34 nm), arranged in a honeycomb network. It has been hailed as a next-generation flexible and transparent material because it has high electrical and thermal conductivities, excellent mechanical properties, as well as flexible and transparent properties. The wettability of graphene alters its adhesion or surface energy, and it is therefore an important parameter influencing its application in the fabrication of next-generation flexible and transparent electronics. Studies on the wettability of graphene are numerous and various opinions exist. However, almost all of these studies use the wet transfer method to transfer the graphene. In this study, therefore, we investigated the effect of wet and dry transfer methods on water contact angles of graphene on a substrate. The contact angles of substrates vary depending on the type of substrate. It was found that after graphene is transferred to the substrate, regardless of transfer method, the graphene/substrate contact angle increases to a value. The contact angle of graphene transferred using the dry transfer method is higher than the contact angle of graphene transferred using wet transfer methods. The wet transferred graphene is affected by the poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) residue and the polar surface of substrate. The dry transferred graphene is influenced by the conformal contact between graphene and substrate.

OFDM 방식의 차세대 단거리전용 통신 시스템 성능 개선에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Next Generation Dedicated Short Range Communication System using OFDM)

  • 본 논문에서는 지능형 교통망 시스템 서비스에 사용되는 5.8GHz 대역에서 OFDM을 이용한 단거리 전용 통신 시스템을 제안하고 제안 시스템의 성능을 평가하고 이를 분석하였다. 무선 다중경로 채널에서 데이터를 고속으로 전송할 경우, 신호는 페이딩, ISI(inter-symbol interference) 등의 영향으로 높은 에러율을 가지게 된다. OFDM 방식은 보호구간을 사용해 채널의 ISI를 제거하므로 일반적으로 등화가가 필요 없으나, OFDM 각 심볼주기마다 보호구간의 사용은 채널 사용 면에서 매우 비효율적이 된다. 따라서 채널의 지연확산이 커질 경우, 보호구간만으로는 ISI를 완전히 제거할 수 없으며, 성능 개선을 위하여 등화기가 필요하게 된다. 본 논문에서 제안된 시스템에서는 ITS 권고 주파수 대역인 5.8GHz에서 국제 표준화 규격인 IEEE 802.11a 근거하여 OFDM 시스템을 모델링 하였으며, Clarke & Gans 채널 환경에서 주파수 1탭 적응 등화기를 적용하여 성능을 비교 분석하였다.

본논초기해충군과 벼멸구에 미치는 Carbofuran 토양혼화처리의 영향 (Effects of Carbofuran Soil Incorporation on the Early Occurring Rice Insect Pests and the Brown Planthopper)

  • 비 이앙직전 carbofuran 토양혼화처리의 본논초기 발생해충 방제효과 및 비래성 해충인 벼멸구에 대한 약효지속효과를 조사하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 포장에서 5월 하순 이앙직전 carbofuran 토양혼화처리는 6월 중순 carfuran 수면시용처리나 diazinon (3G) +BPMC (50% EC) 2회처리보다 본논초기 발생해충인 애멸구, 끝동매미충, 이화명나방 1화기에 대한 방제효과가 우수하였다. 폿트에서 carfuran 토양혼화처리의 벼멸구 암컷성충에 대한 직접살충효과는 약처리 1개월후에 50%정도로 떨어졌으나 그의 차세대에 대한 밀도억제효과는 약처리 37일후까지 90%이상, 46일후에도 70%정도를 유지하였다. 따라서 이상의 결과로부터 이앙직전 carfuran 토양혼화처리는 본논초기 발생해충 전반에 대한 효과적인 방제수단이 될 수 있으며 6월중 비래하는 벼멸구에 대해서 90%이상 그리고 7월 초순에 비래하는 벼멸구에 대해서도 어느정도의 밀도 억제효과를 발휘할 수 있을 것으로 생각된다.

대면적 UV 임프린팅 공정에서 잔류층 두께 예측 (Prediction of Residual Layer Thickness of Large-area UV Imprinting Process)

  • Nanoimprint lithography (NIL) is the next generation photolithography process in which the photoresist is dispensed onto the substrate in its liquid form and then imprinted and cured into a desired pattern instead of using traditional optical system. There have been considerable attentions on NIL due to its potential abilities that enable cost-effective and high-throughput nanofabrication to the display device and semiconductor industry. Although one of the current major research trends of NIL is large-area patterning, the technical difficulties to keep the uniformity of the residual layer become severer as the imprinting area increases more and more. In this paper, with the rolling type imprinting process, a mold, placed upon the $2^{nd}$ generation TFT-LCD glass sized substrate($370{\times}470mm^2$), is rolled by a rubber roller to achieve a uniform residual layer. The prediction of residual layer thickness of the photoresist by rolling of the rubber roller is crucial to design the rolling type imprinting process, determine the rubber roller operation conditions-mpressing force & feeding speed, operate smoothly the following etching process, and so forth. First, using the elasticity theory of contact problem and the empirical equation of rubber hardness, the contact length between rubber roller and mold is calculated with consideration of the shape and hardness of rubber roller and the pressing force to rubber roller. Next, using the squeeze flow theory to photoresist flow, the residual layer thickness of the photoresist is calculated with information of the viscosity and initial layer thickness of photoresist, the shape of mold pattern, feeding speed of rubber roller, and the contact length between rubber roller and mold previously calculated. Last, the effects of rubber roller operation conditions, impressing force & feeding speed, on the residual layer thickness are analyzed with consideration of the shape and hardness of rubber roller.

TFT LCD 세정 방법에 대한 프로세스 개선에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Process Improvement in TFT LCD Cleaning)

  • As next generation display, TFT LCD gets into the spotlight, and the bigger glass size is required. Currently, its display size is 1500 mm by 1870 mm at the six generation comparing with 300mm by 400 mm at the first one and the size is increasing continuously, which cause the difficulties to apply the cleaning operation including the general brush cleaning. In this study, water-jet cleaning operation has been introduced, which spent the less water them other cleaning methods. Throughout the experiment, is has been found the possible damage of the declined cell and the variation of the tilt bias angle depending upon the increasing time. In addition, the simulation predicts the glass bending of the display.

  • Solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) have attracted much attention due to clean, efficient and environmental-friendly generation of electricity for next-generation energy conversion devices. Recently, many studies have been reported on improving the performance of SOFC electrodes and electrolytes by applying atomic layer deposition (ALD) process, which has advantages of excellent film quality and conformality, and precise control of film thickness by utilizing its unique self-limiting surface reaction. ALD process with these advantages has been shown to provide functional ceramic interfaces for SOFC electrodes and electrolytes. In this article, recent examples of successful functionalization and stabilization on SOFC electrodes and electrolytes by the application of ALD process for realizing high performance SOFC cells are reported.

모의분석을 통한 OMS/MP 산출기법에 관한 연구 (A Study Techniques of OMS/MP Generation Using War Game Simulation)

  • This study proposes an OMS/MP preparation methodology using a simulation method instead of a survey method. We applied our methodology to the next generation detection radar, providing reasonable peace- and war-time OMS/MP values. Based on these results, we propose the process to calculate RAM objective values. The previous survey method required to supplement its method since the method used data from a similar weapon system. In addition, the previous method didn't provide enough reliability for the future weapon system. Instead of using the previous survey method, we propose to use war game simulation, which provides a better OMS/MP values. Based on these results, we propose the logical consecutive process that prepares combat and simulation scenarios, peace- and war-time OMS/MP values and RAM objective values.
