  • Let R be a commutative ring with identity and let S be a nonempty subset of R. We define S to be an almost multiplicative subset of R if for each a, b ∈ S, there exist integers m, n ≥ 1 such that ambn ∈ S. In this article, we study some utilization of almost multiplicative subsets.

  • Zagreb indices and their modified versions of a molecular graph are important descriptors which can be used to characterize the structural properties of organic molecules from different aspects. In this work, we investigate some properties of the modified second multiplicative Zagreb index of graphs with given connectivity. In particular, we obtain the maximum values of the modified second multiplicative Zagreb index with fixed number of cut edges, or cut vertices, or edge connectivity, or vertex connectivity of graphs. Furthermore, we characterize the corresponding extremal graphs.

  • In this study, a new identity is introduced for multiplicative differentiable functions, forming the foundation for a range of 2-point right-Radau-type inequalities applicable to multiplicative s-convex functions. These established results are then showcased through applications that underscore their relevance within the domain of special means.

  • Brand Pricing is the most important issue for the brand manager in the dynamic market. in the typical dynamic pricing model, a linear function has been used based on the assumption that the non-Price Influences and the price influences were independent. However, to incorporate the characteristics of the dynamic market, it is natural to consider the multiplicative relationship. We are going to try the multiplicative linkage between the non-price Influences and the price influences and suggest a new dynamic pricing model with e multiplicative functional form. An empirical study of 19 brands in the Korean cigarette market shows the feasibility of the suggested model.

  • We formulate the additive entropy of a natural number in terms of the additive partition function, and show that its multiplicative entropy is directly related to the multiplicative partition function. We give a practical formula for the multiplicative entropy of natural numbers with two prime factors. We use this formula to analyze the comparative density of additive and multiplicative entropy, prove that this density converges to zero as the number tends to infinity, and empirically observe this asymptotic behavior.

  • Let R be a ring and P be a prime ideal of R. A mapping d : R → R is called a multiplicative derivation if d(xy) = d(x)y + xd(y) for all x, y ∈ R. In this paper, our main motive is to obtain the well-known theorem due to Posner in the ring R/P for generalized derivations associated with a multiplicative derivation defined by an additive mapping F : R → R such that F(xy) = F(x)y + xd(y), where d : R → R is a multiplicative derivation not necessarily additive. This article discusses the use of generalized derivations associated with a multiplicative derivation to investigate the commutativity of the quotient ring R/P.

  • In [1], the authors generalize the concept of the class group of an integral domain $D(Cl_t(D))$ by introducing the notion of the S-class group of an integral domain where S is a multiplicative subset of D. The S-class group of D, $S-Cl_t(D)$, is the group of fractional t-invertible t-ideals of D under the t-multiplication modulo its subgroup of S-principal t-invertible t-ideals of D. In this paper we study when $S-Cl_t(D){\simeq}S-Cl_t(D_T)$, where T is a multiplicative subset generated by prime elements of D. We show that if D is a Mori domain, T a multiplicative subset generated by prime elements of D and S a multiplicative subset of D, then the natural homomorphism $S-Cl_t(D){\rightarrow}S-Cl_t(D_T)$ is an isomorphism. In particular, we give an S-version of Nagata's Theorem [13]: Let D be a Krull domain, T a multiplicative subset generated by prime elements of D and S another multiplicative subset of D. If $D_T$ is an S-factorial domain, then D is an S-factorial domain.

  • This study presents data from a year-long teaching experiment which illustrate how two seventh graders modified their multiplicative thinking and interacted with their representing symbols in the context of combinatorial problem situations. Damon was at the process of construction of recursively multiplicative thinking by modifying his multiplicative reasoning, but Carol appeared to remain at the stage of a binary multiplicative scheme. The two students' struggles with their representing symbols or represented symbols by the teacher show that even well-organized symbolic systems from teachers' perspective do not necessarily help students advance their mathematical capacity.
