  • The general rule of boundary delimitation is a the principle of equidistant. The principle of equidistant is a method that determine boundary delimitation from fixed distant of baseline or basepoint. In this paper, study Two-Point Algorithm and Three-Point Algorithm that are widely used. and developed the Boundary Delimitation Program to verify the result and error. This program is specially useful for maritime boundary delimitation problem because there is no artificial and natural object in sea to determine boundary. As a result The mid-points computed on Ellipsoid have small error rather than mid-points on plane or sphere without any distortion by map projection. Through developing boundary delimitation program, can eliminate the various manipulation error using paper map, and quickly cope with maritime boundary delimitation negotiation. Also, verify that the error of basepoint in baseline is propagate the mid-point in mid-line, and determine suitable reference plane.

  • This paper describes a mid-course guidance strategy based on the earliest intercept geometry (EIG) guidance. An analytical solution and performance validation will be addressed for generalized mid-course guidance problems in area air-defence in order to improve reachability and performance. The EIG is generated for a wide range of possible manoeuvres of the challenging missile based on the guidance algorithm using differential geometry concepts. The main idea is that a mid-course guidance law can defend the area as long as it assures that the depending area and objects are always within the defended area defined by EIG. The velocity of Intercept Point in EIG is analytically derived to control the Intercept Geometry and the defended area. The proposed method can be applied in deciding a missile launch window and launch point for the launch phase.

  • Let X be a smooth projective threefold whose anticanonical division $-K_X$ is ample, i.e., Fano threefold. In this paper, we studied the linear system $$\mid$-nK_X$\mid$$ for a positive integer n. In Theorem 4, we studied the cases that $\-nK_X$\mid$$ has no base-points and the cases that $$\mid$-nK_X$\mid$$ generate the birational map. In Proposition 5, we studied the possible exceptional cases given in Theorem 4. Some results in this paper are already known, but we have gave brief proofs for those results.

  • Let M and N be compact Riemannian manifolds and $f : M \to N$ be a smooth map. Following J. Eells, f is exponentially harmonic if it represents a critical point of the exponential energy integral $$ E(f) = \int_{M} exp(\left\$\mid$ df \right\$\mid$^2) dM $$ where $(\left\ df $\mid$\right\$\mid$^2$ is the energy density defined as $\sum_{i=1}^{m} \left\$\mid$ df(e_i) \right\$\mid$^2$, m = dimM, for orthonormal frame $e_i$ of M. The Euler- Lagrange equation of the exponential energy functional E can be written $$ exp(\left\$\mid$ df \right\$\mid$^2)(\tau(f) + df(\nabla\left\$\mid$ df \right\$\mid$^2)) = 0 $$ where $\tau(f)$ is the tension field along f. Hence, if the energy density is constant, every harmonic map is exponentially harmonic and vice versa.

  • In this research, we proposed the simple and efficient method to calculate the shear stresses by using the mid-point measurements in ${\pm}45^{\circ}$ semiconductor resistor-sensor pair. Compared to the previous works, the measurements became much simpler by combining the approximation theory with the technique of mid-point measurement. In addition, we proposed another novel method for the stress calculation in which we could increase the sensitivity of the stress sensor by controlling the applied voltage between the sensor-pair. For the applied voltage of 8 V, the sensitivity showed a significant increase by 100%.

  • The purpose of this study is to identify the levels of informationized life of individual, consumers knowledge and attitudes to informationized society, and the recognition of consumer problems in informationized society, and to investigate the related variables. Data were collected from 693.consumers living in Seoul using the constructed questionnaires by the authors. Frequency, Percentage and Multiple Regression Analysis were applied for the analysis. The level of informationized life of consumers was lower than the mid-point of the scale, the level of the consumers knowledge about informationized society was sightly higher than mid-point of the scale, and the consumer attitudes to informationized society appeared to be positive. The level of the recognition of consumer problems in informationized society was higher than the mid-point of the scale, and was influenced by job, age of consumers, and the level of consumers knowledge about informationized society.

  • Fixed-point theory has an extension to coincidences. For a pair of maps $f,g:X_1 \to X_2$, a coincidence of f and g is a point $x \in X_1$ such that $f(x) = g(x)$, and $Coin(f,g) = {x \in X_1 $\mid$ f(x) = g(x)}$ is the coincidence set of f and g. The Nielsen coincidence number N(f,g) and the Lefschetz coincidence number L(f,g) are used to estimate the cardinality of Coin(f,g). The aspherical manifolds whose fundamental group has a normal solvable subgroup of finite index is called infrasolvmanifolds. We show that if $M_1,M_2$ are compact connected orientable infrasolvmanifolds, then $N(f,g) \geq $\mid$L(f,g)$\mid$$ for every $f,g : M_1 \to M_2$.

  • This paper deals with numerical modeling of dynamic failure phenomena in rate-sensitive brittle and/or ductile materials. To this end, a two-dimensional continuum viscodamage-embedded discontinuity model, which is based on our previous work (see Do et al. 2017), is developed. More specifically, the pre-peak nonlinear and rate-sensitive hardening response of the material behavior, representing the fracture-process zone creation, is described by a rate-dependent continuum damage model. Meanwhile, an embedded displacement discontinuity model is used to formulate the post-peak response, involving the macro-crack creation accompanied by exponential softening. The numerical implementation in the context of the finite element method exploiting the second-order mid-point scheme is discussed in detail. In order to show the performance of the model several numerical examples are included.

  • In this paper, we derive an upper bound for the distance from a point in the immediate basin of a root of a complex polynomial to the root itself. We establish that if z is a point in the immediate basin of a root α of a polynomial p of degree d ≥ 12, then ${\mid}z-{\alpha}{\mid}{\leq}{\frac{3}{\sqrt{d}}\(6{\sqrt{310}}/35\)^d{\mid}N_p(z)-z{\mid}$, where Np is the Newton map induced by p. This bound leads to a new bound of the expected total number of iterations of Newton's method required to reach all roots of every polynomial p within a given precision, where p is normalized so that its roots are in the unit disk.

  • In this paper, we introduce and solve the following additive (${\rho}_1,{\rho}_2$)-functional inequality (0.1) $${\parallel}f(x+y+z)-f(x)-f(y)-f(z){\parallel}{\leq}{\parallel}{\rho}_1(f(x+z)-f(x)-f(z)){\parallel}+{\parallel}{\rho}_2(f(y+z)-f(y)-f(z)){\parallel}$$, where ${\rho}_1$ and ${\rho}_2$ are fixed nonzero complex numbers with ${\mid}{\rho}_1{\mid}+{\mid}{\rho}_2{\mid}$ < 2. Using the fixed point method and the direct method, we prove the Hyers-Ulam stability of the additive (${\rho}_1,{\rho}_2$)-functional inequality (0.1) in complex Banach spaces.
