Blackboard provides a collaborative environment for teaching in terms of assessment and communication and can improve learning outcomes. To evaluate the Blackboard use of faculty members at Umm Al-Qura University, data were collected from two channels: statistical reports issued by the university and an online questionnaire. The questionnaire survey respondents were 187 faculty members from all colleges in the university. The findings show that most faculty members did not use Blackboard before the pandemic; therefore, the sudden conversion to the use of Blackboard required intensive training courses. In addition, accompanying Blackboard use with other applications such as WebEx is preferable, especially for administrative tasks such as departmental board meetings and seminars.

The purpose of this study was to develop a scientific inquiry model that makes scientific inquiry accessible to science teachers as well as students. To develop a scientific inquiry model, we investigated the research process demonstrated by ten scientists who were working at academic research institutions or industrial research institutions. We collected data through scientists' journal articles, lab meetings and seminars, and observation of their inquiry process. After we analyzed the scientists' inquiry strategies and processes of inquiry, we finally developed the Scientist's Methodology of Investigation Process model named SMIP. The SMIP model consists of four domains, 15 stages, and link questions, such as "if, why", and "how". The SMIP model stressed that inquiry process is a selective process rather than a linear or a circular process. Overall, these findings can have implication science educators in their attempt to design instruction to improve the scientific inquiry process.

The method used in this descriptive study is the survey. The purpose of the study is to investigate performances of middle school home economics(HE) teachers regarding the HE subject. Respondents in this study were 177 HE teachers. Questionnaires from HE teachers were collected through e-mails. With the operation of the SPSS/Win (ver10.1) program, the analyses such as mean, standard deviation, frequencies, percents, t-test and ANOVA are done to see the relations between the related variables. The results of this study were as follows. First, the middle school HE teachers performed well above the standards in terms of planning, execution, and evaluation about self supervision related to HE. Second, the HE teachers collected materials for instruction by using literary (books) survey, Internet and mass media. They mainly focused on improving ways of "teaching and learning" and deepening the studies related to contents of textbooks. Third, the HE teachers used various ways to improve self supervision in the following order: mass media, literary (books) survey, participation in societies for researches, meetings, various training and field trip More than half of the middle school HE teachers proceeded to graduate schools, joined meetings for researches and had experiences of taking classes in private institutes. They also made a field trip once or twice a year and depended much on TV programs and education broadcasting programs as ways of improving their performances related to self supervision. While they were actively sharing information with their peer group, they made little effort at analyzing and evaluating their classes and utilizing expert group for their classes. The main problems as to self supervision were that only the half of the HE teachers responded that they were performing self supervision related to their classes well above the standards and the area where they heavily focused on has been "teaching and learning" and "the studies related to contents of textbooks". Therefore, to motivate incentives of the HE teachers for self supervision, meetings for researches should be activated and various training programs should be developed. In addition, government should give administrative and institutional support through a publication of books introducing detailed ways of self supervision and an establishment of centers and institutions for supporting self supervision.
Since 2005 KICE-TLC has focused on the development of supporting programs for teaching consultation and pedagogical content knowledge(PCK). The purpose of this year's research was to explore types of pedagogical content knowledge(PCK, hereafter) for effective teaching mathematics topics drawn from the amended national mathematics curriculum announced in February, 2007. Based on this year's PCK research, we will develop mathematics teaching consulting program from 2009 research by field testing of developed mathematics PCK. The major source of data for this study was transcripts of audiotapes of the group discussions that took place during the regular weekly meetings where we compared and analyzed three teachers' classes. We also conducted open-ended interviews with the three teachers and collected reflective notes written by participants. This research provided teachers with an opportunity to think about what is important in the teaching of a topic and why, and to consider possibilities for future development. This research highlights the importance of teacher meetings where teachers share their expertises and insights through reflection and dialogue. By introducing the concept of PCK, examining, analyzing and modelling it in pre-service and in-service teacher education practice, we can contribute to extend teachers' professional learning. Finally, just like quality student learning, quality teaching and teacher education practices require critical reflection and careful scaffolding.

The objectives of this study were to identify the phenomena of school health nursing at schools in Korea and to contribute to building a school health domain of International Classification for Nursing Practice. A retrospective method was used in this study to develop ICNP during the period from July to October 200l. The procedure of the study involved choosing nursing phenomena using preliminary terms from the reports on the field of school health nursing practice documented by nursing students in 10 different nursing colleges. The detail procedures of the study were as follows. 1) Choosing nursing phenomena by using preliminary terms 2) Choosing the characteristics of school health nursing practice from the selected nursing phenomena 3) In order to make a consensus regarding the appropriate characteristics of phenomena. 15 study group members re-categorized the nursing phenomena through 5 times of cyber meetings and 3 times of formal meetings. 4) To verify each characteristic, 5 community nursing faculties and 25 school health nurses participated in the procedure to give scores on nursing characteristics. 5) Classification of the definite nursing phenomena and characteristics. Following the 5 step procedures, school health nursing phenomena were categorized into human and environmental domains. Human domains were classified into human behavioral and functional domains. Environmental domains were classified into physical and psychosocial domains. The essential characteristics of each phenomena were selected when it obtains the mean score of 3.0 or over at the related characteristics. The human behavioral domain consisted of 7 phenomena including risk for spinal disorder, inadequate dietary habit, inadequate weight control, smoking and substance abuse, inadequate stress management, inadequate sex related coping strategies and inadequate accident management. The human functional domain consisted of 6 phenomena including inadequate eye care and visual management, risk for respiratory disorder, inadequate dental health care, inappropriate infectious disease control, risk for gastrointestinal disorder, and lack of sexual identity. The physical environmental domain consisted of 6 phenomena including risk for incident at inside classroom, risk for incident at outside classroom, risk for incident around school, risk for exposure to hazardous facilities around school. inadequate garbage and disposal management, and inadequate physical environment for learning. The psychosocial domain included impaired social interaction at school. Each phenomenon was composed of 2 to 8 characteristics and all phenomena will include a total number of 85 characteristics. The phenomena of school health nursing in Korea partially confirmed school health architecture of ICNP. Further study on verification of school health nursing phenomena in Korea needs to be done to support the findings of this study through review of literature on nursing classifications or field studies.
Special security guards working at nuclear power plants, one of the country's major facilities, serve as human protection to safeguard from threats to nuclear facilities and nuclear materials. The purpose of this study was to develop a physical fitness program for fitness management that is essential for the completion of missions of special guards. This program was designed to prepare the physical fitness test proposed by Jeong et al. (2019). Researchers conducted literature analysis, research meetings, expert meetings and pretests, and developed a 90-minute physical fitness program for 6 weeks, 3 times a week. In order to verify the effectiveness of the developed physical fitness program, the experiment was conducted on 29 subjects(control group: 15, exercise group:14). Specifically, a six-week physical fitness program was conducted for exercise groups, and the fitness test for a special security guard was conducted for all subjects before and after the experiment. As a result, it was found that the physical fitness program was effective in improving the performance of 20m shuttle run, leg tuck, 20m sprint & carry, and medicine ball back throw. Until recently, problems of neglecting fitness management of security guards have been pointed out. It is expected that the physical fitness program proposed by this study will be a practical alternative for security guards' fitness management.
Minutes of cabinet meetings (hereafter referred to as "minutes") offer records on important activities of the government of the Republic of Korea. The National Archives of Korea has implemented a series of preservation for these minutes such as condition survey, deacidification, microfilming, digitization, making boxes, etc. Conservation treatment plans were further established in 2018 to pursue more preservation of over 2,000 volumes of minutes based on the result of the condition survey of the minutes. Among ninety-seven volumes that require conservation treatments, six volumes have been treated so far. A major concern of conservation treatment of minutes was found that a single volume of minutes contains 800 pages, leading to heavier and bulkier than most of other bound volumes. This paper presents the measures taken to solve the problems resulting from this bulky structure of the bound minutes. It is expected that the study will offer an opportunity to consider effective conservation methods for records on paper of which the physical shapes are yet to be determined.
Project Monitoring and Control is one of the required activities in project management. This activity provides the information about whether a project is making a progress as it is planned. It is usually performed in weekly meetings or milestone meetings where the project manager checks the project's current status based on project measures such as schedule, cost and work performance. One of the popular method for project monitoring and control is EVM(Earned Value Management). The major characteristic of EVM is that it uses only one measure 'cost' for schedule and work performance so that it enables 2 independent graphs to be illustrated in one integrated graph based on cost. For applying EVM to a project, it is essential to break whole work to work packages and to assign value of cost to each work package at the initial stage of the project. Therefore EVM is well matched with the lifecycle which requires whole plan at the beginning of project. However, in XP(eXtreme Programming), whole customer requirements are difficult to define and to make a complete plan at the beginning and are more detailed in each Iteration. Therefore EVM is not comfortable method for XP. Therefore in this research we suggest 3 layer EVM which can be applied in XP, and develop a process guidelines based on CMMI(Capability Maturity Model Integration) PMC(Project Monitoring and Control) process area.
Objectives: The purpose of this study was to assess input for health promoting schools (HPS), and to evaluate HPS based on WHO's guidelines through school characteristics, and to identify the schools' need among six areas of HPS. Methods: A stratified and random cluster sampling design was used to obtain a cross-sectional sample. A total of 59 elementary, middle and high schools in Seoul and Gyeonggi areas were included, and 333 teachers (males 40.6%, females 59.4%) participated in this survey. A self-reported questionnaire consisted of ten items for input for HPS, 50 items for the evaluation of HPS and three items for the schools' needs among six areas of HPS. Data was analyzed through a t-test, ANOVA, and a Duncan test. Results: The mean score of input for HPS was 48.5 ($\pm$15.3). Elementary schools had higher mean scores of input than middle schools. The mean score of schools with a management committee was higher than those schools without it. The schools which had meetings on health issues had higher mean scores. The mean score for HPS was 76.8 ($\pm$9.4): the area of "School Physical Environment" had the highest score (80.0$\pm$10.9), and the area of "Community Relationships" had the lowest score (67.1$\pm$13.9). Elementary schools had higher mean scores of HPS than middle and high schools. The schools which had less than nine classes and more than 31 classes had higher mean scores. The mean scores of schools with less than 340 students and more than 1201 students had higher. The schools which had meetings on health issues had higher mean scores. The same results were found on six areas of HPS. The teachers responded that the areas of "School Health Policy", "The School Physical Environment", and "Health Service" should be supported among the six areas of HPS. Conclusion: Based on these results, more concerns and support for school health are necessary. Middle schools should give more regard on the development of HPS. For comprehensive school health promotion, all six areas of HPS should be equally supported.

The purpose of this study is the study of factors affecting the life satisfaction of disabled children parents. Survey data metropolitan area and Gyeonggi-do special schools, day shelter, Disabled Welfare, especially on the national branch in Korea Funny disabled parent meetings, through 389 branches were collected material wealth targeting parents with disabilities. Statistical analysis SPSS 19.0 program utilizes factor analysis, reliability analysis. And parents of children with disabilities and environmental factors are the demographic characteristics in order to analyze the impact on life satisfaction as a control variable, and the environmental factors as independent variables were performed hierarchical regression analysis. Results are crazy and the positive(+) influence a religious presence and the average monthly income of demographic characteristics in the satisfaction of life, environmental factors all had significant influence on life satisfaction. In other words, family support, disability, social networks, personal nature had a positive(+) influence on life satisfaction of disabled children parents, the relative influence of these factors include family support, disability, social networks, net of personality. It was in. The result is handicapped parents receive emotional support and help from family, the lower the degree of disability of the child, as participation in meetings or disability welfare various programs and handicapped parents, and the more it has a positive character increased satisfaction in life that can be interpreted.
