  • The purpose of this study is to verify whether there is a difference in boredom between education types (offline vs. online) in the mandatory education scene, and to explore the moderator effect of meaning making activities in the relationship between education types and boredom. In this study, 197 college students were divided into offline and online groups and they participated in mandatory education. The meaning making activity was operationalized based on the meaning discovery scale. As a result of the study, the state boredom after mandatory education was significantly higher in the online group than in the offline group. However, meaning making activities did not moderate the relationship between education type and the state boredom. Through further analysis, it was found that boredom in both groups significantly decreased after the meaning making activity.

  • Prenatal nicotine exposure over an entire pregnancy has been associated with an increased prevalence of hyperactivity, anxiety-like behavior and depression-like behavior in mature rats. However, the effects of maternal nicotine exposure in late gestation and lactation on the psychology and behavior of adolescent rat offspring are unclear. Thus, we investigated the effect of nicotine exposure during late gestation and lactation on anxiety-like and impulsive decision-making behavior in adolescent offspring of rat. Female rats were orally exposed to nicotine which is within range of plasma level of human chronic smokers during the period of third last period of gestation and lactation. When the offspring were weaned, we observed alterations in the anxiety-like behavior and decision-making ability of adolescent rat offspring using light/dark box test and T-maze delay-based cost-benefit decision-making task. The maternal consumption of nicotine reduced both the time spent in the light compartment and the number of transitions compared to nicotine-free rats. Moreover, such nicotine exposed adolescent offspring rats showed impulsive decision making which chose the instant reward in a decision-making situation. We found that nicotine exposure during late gestation and lactation induces an increase in anxiety-like and impulsive decision-making behavior at this developmental stage. These findings suggest that maternal nicotine-exposed offspring are at an increased risk of developing anxious and impulsive behavior.

  • The purpose of this study is to recognize about lingerie company's education and pattern-making actual conditions. This study used a questionnaire method. Respondent of survey is designers who work in exist lingerie company. The collected data were statistically processed using SPSS(Statistical Package for Social Science) for technical statistical analysis, correlation analysis. The results of this study can be summarized as follows; 1. Most of lingerie designers educated lingerie design, pattern and textiles etc. after entering a company and satisfaction 57.3% about education has satisfaction of intergrade. 2. Designer's 87.8% has satisfaction more than intergrade about own pattern-making technology and work career is high, satisfaction about pattern-making technology is high. 3. Correlation was expose that is in lingerie education availability and optimum level arrival period of pattern-making ability before entering a company. In case take lingerie education before entering a comany, thought that optimum level arrival period of pattern-making ability is shorter. 4. Most of lingerie company designers used flat pattern-making method and draping method. 5. There is correlation between work career and using the basic pattern. Work career was expose that make and use only own basic pattern in case is more than 3 years. 6. Contents about deepening pattern-making technology are most by 92.2% to contents of lingerie reeducation.

  • The ultimate goal of environmental education is to train the civilian who positively participates in solving environmental problems. To do above, not only accurate knowledge but also right value about environmental problems are needed. It is reasonable decision making that choose the first of all alternatives to solve the problems by accurate knowledge and right value of an individual. Teaching reasonable decision making in environmental education is related to raise the participant civilian toward regional environmental problem solving Simulation game helps that students have a opportunity to practice decision making skills about regional problems and give self-confidence to their decision making ability. So, the aim of this study is to present simulation games which is fit to elementary environmental education. The first one is for group decision making, the second one is for individual decision making. These can make a conclusion, winner and loser of games. But last one is open-ended game and aims to make explicit a variety of opinions, issues and conflicts to problem.

  • According to the school autonomy plan on April 15, 2008, schools have a responsibility for ICT in education policy. Because of this plan, A guideline for governmental action for ICT education was repealed, on the contrary, responsibilities for ICT education in school level has increased. The radical exchange of education policy has a big impact on decision-making about ICT in education policy in school level. Consequently, the digital divide is generated between students, teachers and schools. So, this paper is intended as an investigation of decision-making types and awareness of teachers about ICT in education policy in elementary school. And this paper presents new ideas for decision-making of ICT policy in elementary schools.

  • The purpose of this study was to explore factors predicting career exploration behavior of engineering students. Career decision making types(rational type, intuitive type, and dependent type) and career decision making self-efficacy were included as predictors for this study. 249 engineering students in Gyeonggi-do of South Korea participated in this study and 231 data analyzed as final samples through multiple regression and mediation analysis. Results showed as follows: first, rational and intuitive decision making significantly predicted career exploration behavior. Also, career decision making self-efficacy completely mediated between these career decision making types(rational and intuitive) and career exploration behavior. The implication of the findings on practice for career education are discussed in the paper.

  • The purpose of this study is to identify the key decision-making variables that lead fashion company employees to participate in the fashion education programs offered by university lifelong education centers. This study also examined the education satisfaction level and preferred education method and evaluated a university lifelong education program by surveying a fashion company employees who completed a fashion education program. As decision making variables, this study included participation purposes, obstacles, and evaluation criteria. While questionnaires were used to identify the decision making variables, education satisfaction level, and preferred education method, focus group interviews were used to evaluate the university lifelong education program. The findings showed that the respondents enrolled in the program mostly because of personal motivations and considered the workload and time limitation as participating obstacles. They considered educational content as the most important evaluation criteria for participating in the program and were highly satisfied with the program they completed. This study suggests how university lifelong education centers may structure their fashion education programs to better appeal to the employees of fashion companies.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of science toy making activities on the scientific interest and the conceptual understanding of elementary school students. In this study, science toy making activities were applied to an experimental group and traditional learning activities were applied to the control group. The science toy making activities comprised thirteen steps and were administered during class. In the scientific interest test, there was a statistically significant difference between the score of the experimental group and that of the control group. In particular, post-test scores were higher than pre-test scores in the experimental group, while they were lower than this in the control group. It appeared that students had positive thoughts about science toy making activities. These science toy making activities had positive effects on the conceptual understanding of the experimental group students. The post-test scores of the experimental group were higher than that of the control group in all domain concepts. From these results, it can be deduced that the science toy making activities were more effective than traditional teaming activities. They were an effective teaching technique which enhanced the scientific interests and the conceptual understanding of the students in question.
