The effect of middle school soccer coach's leadership type on sport flow and team atmosphere (중학교 축구지도자의 리더십 유형과 운동 몰입 및 팀 분위기의 관계)

  • This study aims to find out how the leadership type of middle school soccer coach affects sport flow and team atmosphere, and the results are as follows. First, as a result of analyzing the demographic characteristics, it was found that there was a significant difference in the peer relationship characteristics of the team atmosphere by the variable of age, and the mutual leadership by the variable of life period with coach. Second, as a result of examining the influence of middle school soccer coach's leadership type on sport flow, it was found that among leadership types, servant leadership affected all sub-factors of sport flow and transformational leadership affected behavioral flow. Third, as a result of examining the effect of middle school soccer coach's leadership type on team atmosphere, it was found that all leadership types had an effect on the role characteristics, which are the sub-factors of team atmosphere, servant leadership on the peer relationship characteristics, and transactional leadership on the team characteristics.

  • The purpose of this study is to highlight the effects of the two leadership styles, namely: transformational leadership and transactional leadership, on the different types of followership through analyzing their impact in the productivity and competitiveness of human resources in IT SMEs. The paper focuses on determining whether transformational leadership or transactional leadership is more effective as shown by the levels of empowerment derived from these two types of leadership under study. From this study, alien, role model and passive types of followership, transformational leadership appears to be more influential for personal empowerment. As for group level of empowerment, the transformational type of leadership shows higher effectiveness in alien, role model, passive, and practical types of followership. On the other hand, transactional leadership yields positive impact on practical and conformist types of followership. In summary, personal empowerment plays a direct impact on group empowerment. Thus, with the exception of conformist type of followership, transformational leadership has more impact in human resources of IT SMEs.

A Subjectivity Study on the Leadership Types of the Executive Chef Recognized by Hotel Cook (호텔조리사가 인식한 총주방장의 리더십 유형에 대한 주관성 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze hotel chefs' perceptions of each type of leadership, to help improve teamwork and work efficiency through the improvement of job satisfaction and work skills by hotel cooks and the impact of leadership on human relations. In particular, by conducting Q methodological analysis on the subjectivity of the total chef's leadership type recognized by hotel chefs in vertical command systems according to the nature of the work in the hotel company. The analysis of leadership types showed that Type 1 (N=4): both transformative and servent leadership is a combination of preferences or non-preferences, Type 2 (N=4): transformative leadership preference, Type 3 (N=3): both transformative and non-preferred leadership. The leadership of the executive chef, recognized by hotel chefs, is believed to prefer leadership that is considered for individual situations that match each other's experiences and work skills (ability values) rather than uniform leadership such as transformational or servent leadership. Along with the theoretical discussion of Q methodology, the leadership type is explained, and based on the subjectivity research analysis method of Q analysis, the subjectivity of hotel chefs will be identified in various ways and new leadership will be presented.

The Impact of Coach Leadership Type on Exercise of College Athletes

  • Purpose: Prior literature posits that leadership of coach influences athletes' performance via delegate interactions. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of the type of instructor on the exercise stress of university athletes and to provide instructors with informative coaching methods especially for their leadership. Research design, data, and methodology: In order to achieve the purpose of the research, Seoul and Gyeonggi Province Materials University athletes were selected as a sample, 360 college athletes participated in the survey and data were screened and finally 314 were analyzed. The collected data were analyzed via descriptive analysis and multiple regressions. To examine the validity and reliability of the survey items, factor analysis and Cronbach's α were computed. Results: Coaches' leadership types are found to influence university athletes' exercise stress significantly. In specific, transformational leadership negatively influences teaching Complaints. Transformational leadership also negatively influences time constraints. However, transformational and transactional leadership do not have any effect on career concerns. transformational and transactional leadership also do not influence functional instability of college athletes. Conclusions: Overall, leadership types of coach partially influence exercise stress of athletes. These findings posit that transformational leadership contribute in developing reliable relationship between athletes and instructors. Further implications were discussed.

  • The purpose of the study was to investigate the relationships among leadership, organizational commitment and management performance of restaurant workers from the Busan Haeundae area. Normally, each leadership type(transactional leadership, transformational leadership, servant leadership) effected organizational commitment and management result. For the field test and verification, 200 staffs of the Haeundae restaurant participated in the survey from April 1st to May 30th, 2017. The research result was summarized as follows. First, all leadership types(transformational leadership, transformational leadership, servant leadership) of Haeundae restaurant staffs had a positive impact on affective involvement. Second, transformational leadership and transactional leadership of restaurant staffs had a positive influence on continuous commitment. Lastly, continuous commitment of restaurant staffs in Haeundae affected management result. In conclusion, precedent study explained only hotel investigation.

  • This study was carried out in order to verify the influence that recognition was mad to organization commitment, organizational culture type leadership of a social welfare organization. The study object a total Part 456 was used to analysis as social worker engaged in to social welfare agency. It was for an independent variable to revolutionized leadership, exchanged leadership as leadership type, and it was organizational culture an mediator variable, analyzed correlation of organization commitment, analysis return in order to grasp an influence to be mad to organization commitment material leadership type, executed path analysis so that direct and indirect effect being mad to organization commitment organizational culture through leadership type. Result of research, A total effect to affect regarding organization commitment, there is most a lot of revolutionized leadership, affected that organization culture appeared group culture of an organization, exchanged leadership, development culture. A leader of a social welfare organization shall improve self-participation and business efficiency voluntary of an employee through revolutionized leadership, in order to improve organization commitment of an employee, this leadership types had to improve organization commitment of an employee as group culture of an organization.

A Study on the Relationship between Leadership Styles and Organizational Outcome in Oklahoma's Volunteer Fire Department (리더십 유형과 조직성과와의 관계 분석 - 미국 오클라호마주 의용소방대를 중심으로 -)

  • This study aims to determine dominant leadership styles of the U.S. volunteer fire department and analyzes relationship between leadership styles of a fire chiefs and organizational outcome. This study reviewed 205 volunteer fire fighters in Oklahoma State which is located in middle and southern part of the U.S. As research results, it turned out that the most common leadership type of volunteer fire chiefs is transformational leadership. The second most common leadership type is transactional leadership. Laissez-faire leadership was the least common leadership type. This study analyzed that transformational leadership and transactional leadership have positive relationship with organizational outcome. In contrast, laissez-faire leadership has negative relationship with organizational outcome. Also, it turned out that the volunteer fire fighters evaluate that transformational and transactional leadership decrease as working years of current volunteer fire chiefs increase.

  • The purpose of this study was to identity the relationships of sub factor among the brain dominance thinking types(A,B,C,D quadrant thinking type) is based on the Whole Brain Modal and self-leadership by Manz. The subjects were 102 undergraduates students from the Hoseo university in Cheonan. The results of this study as follows ; first, the brain dominance thinking type A was the highest and type C was highly rated. Second, the brain dominance thinking type A was not correlated type C and type D. Third, the brain dominance thinking type C and self-leadership sub factor was significantly positively correlated.

Effect of Nursing Students' Flipped Learning-type Project-based Learning on Nursing College Students' Self-directed Learning Ability, Self-leadership, and Academic Self-efficacy (플립러닝형 프로젝트기반 학습이 간호대학생의 자기주도적 학습능력, 셀프리더십과 학업적 자기효능감에 미치는 효과)

  • Purpose: This study aims to provide basic data for future nursing education by identifying the effects of flipped learning-type project-based learning on nursing college students' self-directed learning ability, self-leadership, and academic self-efficacy. Methods: It is a pre-experimental study designed before and after a single group to verify the effect of flipped learning project-based learning on nursing students' self-directed learning ability, self-leadership, and academic self-efficacy in 81 third-grade nursing students. Results: No statistically significant difference in self-efficacy (t=-0.80, p=.545) but self-directed learning ability (t=-3.85, p<.001) and self-leadership (t=-5.18, p<.001) were found to have a statistically significant difference before and after. Conclusion: Flipped learning-type project-based learning was confirmed effective in improving nursing college students' self-directed learning ability and self-leadership. Therefore, instructors will need to develop and apply teaching methods that provide learners with opportunities for pre-learning and carry out learner-centered projects to improve nursing college students' self-directed learning ability and self-leadership.

Leadership perception types among 119 emergency medical technicians (구급대원의 리더십에 대한 인식 유형)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to provide basic data for developing strategic programs based on 119 emergency medical technicians leadership perception types. Methods: The subjects were thirty six 119 emergency medical technicians working for out-of hospital in Jeollanam-Do, Korea. Data were collected from July 20, 2017 to October 30, 2017. Q sample of 40 statements and P sample of 36 persons using PC QUANL software. Results: Three types of leadership styles were identified from the explanation (71.5% of the variables). The relationship oriented progressive type (the most common), the performance and value oriented type (the second most common), and the experience oriented filed participation type (the third most common). Conclusion: The fire department will need to develop and implemented leadership improvement programs based on the leadership types in order to meet the organization's goals.
