유속을 측정하기 위한 다양한 기법들 가운데 양방향 저속 차압 프로브(bi-directional low velocity pressure probe)는 고온의 연소생성물이 존재하는 조건에서 화재유동장의 속도 측정에 가장 적합한 방법으로 인식되어 왔다. 그러나 양방향 유속계의 프로브 상수(probe constant)는 레이놀즈 수와 유동과 프로브의 받음각(attack angle)에 크게 영향을 받게 된다. 본 연구에서는 화재유동장 측정 기법들을 비교 평가하고 양방향 유속계의 받음각에 따른 프로브 상수의 변화를 실험적으로 평가하여 양방향 유속계의 측정 오차를 정량함으로서 화재 유동장 측정의 신뢰성 향상을 위한 기초자료를 제공하고자 한다.

Interleukin (IL)-5 appears to be one of the main proinflammatory mediators among a growing number of cytokines and chemokines that induce eosinophilic inflammation. Sophoricoside and their analogs isolated from Sophora japonica show relatively potent inhibitory activity of interleukin (IL)-5 as a small molecule. Initial attempt to identify the structural requirement of this isoflavonone led to find new chalcones to exhibit the inhibitory activity of IL -5. (omitted)

1990년 동독과 서독이 독일로 통일 된 후 우리나라만이 세계에서 유일한 분단국가로 남아있다. 이로 인해 전 세계적인 관심 및 안전에 대한 의구심을 야기하여 국가 이미지 실추 및 관광 수입의 저하 등 여러 분야로 나쁜 영향을 미치고 있는 것이 현 실정이다. 북한은 사회주의체제 국가로서 국방위원장에 의한 독재 체제를 유지하고 있으며 현재 김정일 국방위원장이 정권을 장악하고 있으나 근래 들어 건강에 대한 이상설과 후계자 미결정으로 정치적 불안감이 커져감에 따라 외교 및 남북 관계에 대한 걱정이 증가하고 있다. 따라서 이 같은 상황에서 김정일 위원장에 대한 건강 정보는 대단히 중요한 자료가 된다. 이를 위해 본 논문에서는 한의학의 진단법인 망진 기법을 적용하여 최근 공개된 김정일 국방위원장의 사진에서 안면 분석을 행하여 실제 김정일 국방위원장의 건강에 대한 정보를 추출해 보고자 한다. 그러나 김정일 국방 위원장의 영상의 경우 동일한 환경에서 촬영된 영상이 아니고 여러 가지 분석을 방해하는 요소가 많기 때문에 색상 보정을 통한 분석 방법과 색상 보정 없이 안면 각 부위에 따른 색차의 차이에 대한 비교를 통해 가장 큰 의혹을 받고 있는 당뇨합병증에 대한 분석을 수행하고자 한다.

Interleukin 32 (IL-32) is a recently identified cytokine that induces major proinflammatory cytokines such as $TNF{\alpha}$ and IL-$1{\beta}$, which play an important role in chronic inflammatory diseases. To antagonize the biological function of IL-32 in cells, we generated RNA aptamers that could bind specifically to IL-32 protein. The highest affinity aptamer, AC3-3, successfully antagonized IL-32 by abolishing the induction of $TNF{\alpha}$ in the human lung carcinoma cells expressing IL-32. This aptamer could be used as a potent and selective antagonist against IL-32 to further elucidate the roles of IL-32 in chronic inflammatory diseases, as well as a therapeutic agent.

Pellinus linteus has been used for the prevention of cancer traditionally. There are three origins of Pellinus linteus, Korea, China and Cambodia. However, their immunological activities were not evlauated comparatively. Thus, this study was done to evaluate immunomodulatory effects of Phellinus linteus(PL) from Korea, china and cambodia, We confirmed PL showed two major protein bands, 50 kDa and 80 kDa by protein analysis. These PL effectively upregulated the expressions of IL-2 at 10 ug/ml and GM-CSF, IL-4, IL-10, IL-12(p35), IL-12(p40), IL-18, IFN-r in all concentrations. However, Korea-PL upregulated the expression of IL-12 more effectively than the other PLs. It intended to increase NO with no significance. Those results indicate Phellinus linteus had cytokine modulating effect

Due to the inconsistent fluctuation of blood supply for transfusion, much attention has been paid to the development of artificial blood using other animals. Although mini-pigs are candidate animals, contamination of mini-pig T cells in artificial blood may cause a major safety concern. Therefore, it is important to analyze the cross-reactivity of IL-7, the major survival factor for T lymphocytes, between human, mouse, and mini-pig. Thus, we compared the protein sequences of IL-7 and found that porcine IL-7 was evolutionarily different from human IL-7. We also observed that when porcine T cells were cultured with either human or mouse IL-7, these cells did not increase the survival or proliferation compared to negative controls. These results suggest that porcine T cells do not recognize human or mouse IL-7 as their survival factor.

집권 3년차의 김정은 시대 북한의 지속과 변화 분석은 나름대로 의미를 부여할 수 있을 것이다. 분석한 결과 보다 합리적이고 통계적인 방법을 적용하기 위하여 김일성, 김정일, 김정은 시대의 신년사를 활용하였다. 북한에 있어서 신년사만큼 영향력 있는 사항은 드물며 북한사회의 제 분야에 있어서 한해의 길라잡이 역할을 수행하고 있다. 현재까지 발표된 김일성, 김정일, 김정은 시대 신년사를 종합적으로 고찰하여 정리하였다. 종합된 신년사를 김일성, 김정일, 김정은 시대로 구분하여 발표방법, 내용구성, 기타사항을 등을 비교 분석하였으며, 이어서 북한 정권별 신년사 특징과 함의를 살펴보았다. 이와 같은 분석 결과를 바탕으로 김정은 시대의 지속과 변화를 전망해 보았다. 먼저 지속적인 사항으로 제시한 사항은 사회주의 체제 고수와 선군정치의 통치방식이다. 변화사항으로는 (1) 경제난 타개를 위한 부분적인 개방문제, (2) 북한의 핵문제, (3) 자본주의 성격의 유입과 사회주의 통제력 약화, (4) 김정은의 해외 유학경험 등을 4가지 사항을 변화요인으로 제시하였다. 이러한 김정은 시대의 북한 사회의 변화와 지속요인은 복합적으로 작동될 것이다. 김정은 시대의 북한의 지속과 변화문제는 남북문제를 해결해 나가는데 핵심 사항들이다. 전 국민적 공감대를 형성하면서 국론결집 노력 강화와 변화 상황에 능동적으로 대처할 수 있는 대북정책의 유연성을 확보하는 자세가 필요한 시점이다.
