In order to achieve the purpose of the study, 146 nursing college students from K and P universities in the Busan and Kyungnam areas were analyzed using a career anchor questionnaire. In addition, 28 nursing college students who showed a higher level of tendency among job types were selected and divided into 4 teams, and a focus group interview was conducted based on the contents of the created map. Its purpose is to investigate the educational needs of nursing college students to enhance their career development. First, the career anchor types of the nursing college students showed the highest score in the areas of lifestyle, security and stability, while the lowest types of career anchor were pure challenge and general managerial competence. Second, the educational needs for career development were categorized into four areas, namely major competence, practical competence, personality competence, and resource management competence. The major competences are nursing expertise and skills. The practical competences consisted of ward task management, communication, crisis coping ability and personality competence and these were divided into cooperation and responsibility recognition. The resource management competence consists of time management ability and stress management ability. The participating students recognized that the IPP system was helpful in enhancing their major competence, non-major competence, and job competitiveness. On the other hand, satisfaction with practicing companies and operating universities remains at a normal level for three years, and the intention to recommend IPP system to junior colleagues and colleagues has been consistently high for three years. The more consistent the desired job and the IPP participation job, the greater the positive perception of the IPP effect and the greater the recommendation intention of IPP system.

  • Cooperating with a supplier with professional skills is necessary to achieve performance in the development of the innovative products. It is also important to improve development competence and share knowledge. This study empirically analyzed the effect of participant's Job Competence and Leadership Competence on Knowledge Sharing, and the effect of Purchaser Interdependence on Supplier Absorption Capacity. The purpose of the study is to confirm that Knowledge Sharing between Development Participant and Supplier contributes to Performance and to demonstrate the need for a cooperative relationship with the Supplier. A survey was conducted on the product development participants to confirm the relationship between the factors using a Structural Equation Model. As a result of the hypothesis test, the better the Individual Competence of the development participants, the better the Knowledge Sharing Activity, and then Knowledge Sharing and Interdependence are the main factor in the Absorption Capacity of the Supplier. The results of this study can contribute to improving the Supplier Absorption Capacity in the product development projects in which high technology is converged. In the future, we will study the effects of the project support activities of related departments for Performance.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to investigate nurses readiness to self-directed learning and its correlations with nursing practice competence in a tertiary hospital in Seoul, Korea. Methods: A cross sectional survey design was utilized to assess nurses readiness to self-directed learning and job performance. The data used in this study were obtained from 286 nurses who have been working on general ward for over 1 year. Data were analyzed by ANOVA, t-test, Pearson's correlation analysis, and multiple regression using SAS 9.1 program. Results: The mean score of the readiness to self-directed learning is 3.56 and that of nursing practice competence is 2.71. The readiness to self-directed learning was statistically different according to level of education, and clinical work experience. Nursing practice competence was also significantly different according to level of education, clinical work experience, marital status, age, and working division. The readiness to self-directed learning and nursing practice competence seem to have significant positive correlation to each other (r=.555, p<.001). The readiness to self-directed learning explains 32.0% of nursing practice competence (F=20.20, p<.001). Conclusion: These findings indicate that program development for enhancing the readiness to self-directed learning is needed to improve nursing practice competence. We also need continuous efforts to improve nurses initiatives and creativity.

  • Empowerment is a multifaceted concept which can be described somewhat differently. In general, it is defined as the motivational concept of autonomy and self-efficacy. Recently, this concept of empowerment is applied to improve organizational staff's job satisfaction and organizational commitment in many organizations. Empowerment in service organizations has certainly generated more publicity than any other organizations. The objective of this study is to measure the degree of hospital administrative staff's empowerment using Spreitzer(1995)'s empowerment theory, and also to analyze the relationship of empowerment and job satisfaction and organizational commitment. Spreitzer argues that the work empowerment is composed of 4 dimensions (meaning, competence, self-determination, and impact) and each dimension influences employee's job satisfaction, organizational commitment, and organizational performance in the end. In order to carry out this study, data were collected by self-administered Questionnaires from 181 hospital administrative staff at 3 university hospitals in Inchon and Kyunggi-Do. The response rate is 86%. The Collected data were analyzed with SPSS statistical package V10.0. The major findings of this study are as follows: First, the degree of hospital administrative staff's empowerment is a high level point at the 7 Likert Scale. Second, the reliability of 3 variables, empowerment, job satisfaction and organizational commitment, was statistically satisfied(Cronbach's alpha>0.80). Third, as a result of correlation analysis, four components of empowerment, job satisfaction and organizational commitment showed a positive relationship. Finally, multiple regression analysis was conducted to find the impact of empowerment on job satisfaction and organizational commitment. In the case of job satisfaction, the meaning and competence factors have a positive effect(P<0.05). And the case of organizational commitment, the meaning and impact components have a positive relation(p<0.05). These results showed that the workplace empowerment is significantly related to employee's job satisfaction and organizational commitment.

  • Purpose - In order for companies to be competitive and adapt to the trend of development, it is important for many airlines to secure outstanding human resources and the need to nurture them. It can be expected that by systematically analyzing and organizing the characteristics and types of competences considering the duties of the airline cabin crew, the personal and organizational capacities of the cabin crew can be defined and presented theoretically. Research Design, Data, and Methodology - This survey was conducted over a seven-month period from February 1 to September 30, 2018 and was designated as a domestic airline flight attendant. Direct visits to Incheon International Airport and Gimpo International Airport were also conducted through an online questionnaire. A total of 515 questionnaires were used for empirical analysis. To verify two hypothesis of this study, a regression analysis and exploratory factor analysis (EFA) were performed using SPSS WIN 26.0. Results - Analysis on the impact of personal capacity of airline cabin crew on job satisfaction showed that technical competence, knowledge capacity and ability capacity, which are sub-factor factors of personal capacity, had a positive effect on job satisfaction. Recovery resilience also plays a positive role in relationships between individual competence and job satisfaction. Conclusions - It has been empirically analyzed that the personal characteristics of the airline crew have a significant effect on flight attendant's job satisfaction. It can be seen that flight attendants tend to perform well beyond what is required in their duties, and that active and confident cabin crew members tend to perform well in the direction of improving their duties, and are also highly satisfied with their duties.

  • Although the start-up companies in the manufacturing industry have a great job creation effect, there is a lack of research on start-up and development in the manufacturing industry. Using a sample of 201 in manufacturing start-up companies, we proposed that founder's experience and technical competencies will positively influence performance in manufacturing star-up companies. We also proposed that founder's technical competence will mediate the relationship between founder's experience and performance. The results of this study supported most of our hypotheses, implying that founder's experience and technical competence could be crucial especially in the beginning stage of manufacturing start-up companies.
