Methods: The study was done using a self-administered questionnaire associated with job satisfaction, which was completed by 352 physical therapists working in hospitals. Results: The average job satisfaction score was 3.16. Sub-items scores for job satisfaction were higher for overall satisfaction (3.21) and lower for job satisfaction of achievement (3.12) than the average score. Job satisfaction of subjects showed statistically significant differences with regard to differences in sex, marriage, type of hospital, year of total career, type of patients and motivation level (p<0.05). The average job stress score was 2.38. The sub-items of job stress consisted of problems pertaining to physical environment (2.28), job demand (2.54), job autonomy (2.31), social support (2.14), job instability (2.36), organized management system (2.44), inner motive (2.24), and job culture (2.26). • This study aims to investigate the impact of Human Resource Management Practices (HRMP) on improving Employee Performance (EP). The study is accomplished by hypothesizing the impact of HRMP on EP, additionally, this impact is theorized to be mediated through job satisfaction. Employee engagement is also taken into account because of the potential moderating effect it has within the theorized model. Data was collected from 480 questionnaires which were distributed among commercial banks' workers in Jordan and were analyzed using structural equation modeling techniques (SEM), path analysis, and confirmatory factor analysis (CFA). Analysis of a moment structures (AMOS) software version 24 was applied to complete our analysis. The results show that HRMP had a positive impact on EP, as well as job satisfaction and its components (job stability and job enrichment). The mediating role of job satisfaction (enrichment and stability) was discovered. Finally, employee engagement emerged as a moderating variable linking HRMP and EP. The findings of this study show the importance of the role played by job satisfaction and employee engagement in achieving human resources performance goals. Future analysis is recommended to gain deeper insight into the relationship between HRMP, job satisfaction, worker training, and performance appraisal.

  • When a competent employee leaves an organization, the technical skills and know-how possessed by that employee also disappear, which may lead to various problems, such as a decrease in organizational morale and technology leakage. To address such problems, it is important to increase employees' job satisfaction. Due to the advancement of both information and communication technology and social media, many former and current employees share information regarding companies in which they have worked or for which they currently work via job portal websites. In this study, a web crawl was used to collect reviews and job satisfaction ratings written by all and incumbent employees working in nine industries from Job Planet, a Korean job portal site. According to this analysis, regardless of the industry in question, organizational culture, welfare support, work system, growth capability and relationships had significant positive effects on job satisfaction, while time and attendance management, performance management, and organizational flexibility had significant negative effects on job satisfaction. With respect to the path difference between former and current employees, time and attendance management and organizational flexibility have greater negative effects on job satisfaction for current employees than for former employees. On the other hand, organizational culture, work system, and relationships had greater positive effects for current employees than for former employees.

  • Recruiting and maintaining capable physical therapists in hospitals is crucial to provide patients with better quality's physical therapy and to achieve hospital business objectives. This study is to provide basic data for effective personnel management of physical therapists in the hospital. For this, this study was conducted to confirm the relationship between turnover intention and job characteristics(task importance, job autonomy, job feedback, task identity, skill diversity), and to find out factors affecting the turnover intention of hospital physical therapists in Korea. The sample used in this study consisted of 173 physical therapists who were working in hospitals located in Seoul from June 18 to 29. The data for analysis were collected by questionnaire survey. The dependent variable of this study was turnover intention and the independent variables were job characteristics(task importance, job autonomy, job feedback, task identity, skill diversity), demographic characteristics of respondents(sex, age, education level, marital status, working hospital, working career). The major statistical methods used for the analysis were factor analysis, t-test, ANOVA, correlation, and hierarchical multiple regression analysis. Turnover intention according to demographic characteristics of respondents was significantly high in the graduate school above group. As the result of hierarchical multiple regression analysis of turnover intention, R2 of job characteristics was much more powerful than demographic characteristics. The factors had significant negative effect on turnover intention were job autonomy, task identity, and skill diversity. And in demographic characteristics factors, there were not significant factors on turnover intention. In considering above findings, for decreasing turnover intention of physical therapists, hospitals need to develop strategies for enhancing job satisfaction by improving job autonomy, task identity, and skill diversity from the adequate job environment.
