ATL 1.0: 인공지능 기술 수준 정의 (ATL 1.0: An Artificial Intelligence Technology Level Definition)

  • Artificial-intelligence (AI) technology is used in a variety of fields, from robot cleaner motion control to call center counselors, AI speakers, and Mars exploration. Because the technology levels of all applications and services that utilize AI vary widely, it is not possible to view all applications using AI technology at the same level. Nevertheless, there have been no cases in which the level of AI technology was defined. Therefore, the Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI) Artificial Intelligence Research Laboratory has defined the levels of the main technical elements of AI from steps 1 to 6. In this report, the Artificial Intelligence Technology Level 1.0 (ATL 1.0) is presented. It was established by comprehensively referring to the AI technology prospects and technology roadmaps of major countries. It is hoped that it can be used as a measure for determining the levels of AI applications or services or as an indicator for establishing a technology roadmap.

간호대학생의 소명의식, 감성지능 및 전공몰입과 행복감 간의 관계: 전공몰입의 매개효과를 중심으로 (Associations of Vocational Calling, Emotional Intelligence, and Major Commitment with the Happiness of Nursing Students: Focusing on Mediating Effects of Major Commitment)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine the impacts of vocational calling, emotional intelligence, and major commitment on nursing college students' happiness. This study also was conducted to explore major commitment's mediating effect on the relationship between vocational calling, emotional intelligence, and major commitment among nursing college students. Methods: Participants were 346 nursing college students. Data were collected in November, 2017 with self-report questionnaires and were analyzed using t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficients, and regression analysis with IBM SPSS 19.0. Results: The regression model explained 33.0% of variance in nursing college students' happiness (F=41.44, p<.001). Significant factors were emotional intelligence (${\beta}=.30$, p<.001), grade (${\beta}=.20$, p<.001), major commitment (${\beta}=.18$, p=.002), and vocational calling (${\beta}=.11$, p=.035). Moreover, major commitment showed partial mediating effects on vocational calling and happiness. Major commitment also showed partial mediating effects on emotional intelligence and happiness. Conclusion: The results suggest that nursing college students' happiness can be increased through strategies aimed at increasing vocational calling, emotional intelligence, and major commitment.

호스피스 자원봉사자의 죽음에 대한 태도와 감성지능이 생의 의미에 미치는 영향 (The Influences of Death Attitudes and Emotional Intelligence On Hospice Volunteers' Perception of Life as meaningful)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the influences of emotional intelligence and attitudes about death on hospice volunteers' perception of life as meaningful. Methods: In this study, 232 hospice volunteers who were serving at 3 university hospitals and 7 general hospitals for 6 months or longer. Data were collected using self-report questionnaires from January 20 to February 15, 2016. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, independent-tests, one way ANOVAs, Pearson's correlation coefficients, and multiple regression analyses with SPSS 21.0. Results: Hospice volunteers' perception of life as meaningful was positively correlated with their attitudes toward death and emotional intelligence. The significant predictors of perception of meaning were emotional intelligence, attitudes toward death, religion and perceived health status. These variables explained 41.0% of the variance in hospice volunteers' perception of life as meaningful. Conclusion: These results suggest that hospice volunteers perceptions of life as meaningful can be changed positively by increasing emotional intelligence and positive attitudes about death.

아동 실어증 환아 증례 보고 (A Case Report of Child Aphasia)

  • Objectives : The purpose of this study is to report a case showed some clinical improvement in treating child aphasia with oriental medicine. Methods : The patient had some problems in communication, intelligence and behaviors due to aphasia after brain injury caused by epilepsy. We treated the patient with herbal medicine(Yangsintangkamibang), acupuncture, verbal remediation and intelligence-learning treatment. We observed the clinical progress of aphasia and evaluated the case with PRES. Results : Oriental medical treatment alleviated patient's symptoms of aphasia and PRES was also improved. Conclusions : This study shows oriental medicine can be a meaningful treatment for child aphasia, and more studies for oriental medical treatment for child aphasia is needed.

임상간호사의 일터영성과 감성지능이 조직시민행동에 미치는 영향 (The Influences of Workplace Spirituality and Emotional Intelligence on the Organizational Citizenship Behavior for Clinical Nurses)

  • Objectives : This study was done to identify the influences of workplace spirituality and emotional intelligence on the organizational citizenship behavior of clinical nurses. Methods : The subjects were 230 clinical nurses, working over 6 months in four general hospitals in three cities. Data were obtained from March 20 to March 30, 2016, with a self-report questionnaire, and analyzed using the IBM SPSS 21.0 program. Results : The factors related to the organizational citizenship behavior of nurses were workplace spirituality(${\beta}$=.36), emotional intelligence(${\beta}$=.29), 40 years of age or higher(${\beta}$=.26), working in a special ward(${\beta}$=.11), and turnover intention(${\beta}$=.10). These variables explained 61.6% of the variance in organizational citizenship behavior of nurses. Conclusions : In order to improve the quality of nursing services and business performance in hospital organizations, it is necessary to enhance workplace spirituality and emotional intelligence. This would lead to promoting organizational citizenship behavior through the development and application of intervention programs from a nursing organization perspective.

  • Recently, people's attitude toward residential environment has been changed from a simple shelter to a place affecting their mental function, and the change has increased demand for high quality of residential environment. Nevertheless, a number of unsatisfactory elements that do not meet the demand of residents for residential environment have continuously caused them to be exposed to stress. The purpose of this study is to explore the importance of residential environment by examining stress factors from the residential environment and finding out the effects of the residential environment stress on human emotional intelligence quotient and its application pattern. This study was carried out using not only self-report questionnaires with the Likert 5-point scale to find out the origin of residential environment stress factors, but the emotional intelligence quotient measuring device developed by Wong & Low (2000) to analyse correlations between the residential environment stress and emotional intelligence quotient. The questionnaire survey in this study was carried our among students of D College, and data were analysed using the statistical program SPSS, version 14.0.

감정노동을 수행하는 임상간호사의 개인적 안녕에 대한 경로모형 (Psychosocial Well-Being of Clinical Nurses Performing Emotional Labor: A Path Analytic Model Approach)

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to investigate the influence of emotional expressivity, emotional intelligence, affectivity, job autonomy, social support, and emotional labor on clinical nurses' individual well-being and to provide guidelines for interventions and strategies for its improvement. Methods: The sample consisted of 207 nurses recruited from a general hospital in Korea. The participants completed a structured self-report questionnaire comprising measures of emotional expressivity, emotional intelligence, positive affectivity, negative affectivity, job autonomy, supervisor support, coworker support, deep acting, surface acting, emotional exhaustion, and job satisfaction. Data were analyzed using SPSS statistics 22.0 and AMOS 22.0. Results: The final model was a good fit for the data based on the model fit indices. In the path analysis, surface acting, negative affectivity, supervisor support, and coworker support had statistically significant effects on emotional exhaustion, explaining 29.0% of the variance. Deep acting, emotional exhaustion, positive affectivity, and emotional intelligence had statistically significant effects on job satisfaction, explaining 43.0% of the variance. Conclusion: Effective strategies to improve clinical nurses' individual well-being should focus on surface acting, deep acting, affectivity, social support, and emotional intelligence. The results of this study can be utilized as base data to manage emotional labor and improve clinical nurses' individual well-being.

중환자실 간호사의 외상성 사건 경험이 이직의도에 미치는 영향 : 감성지능의 조절효과 (The Influence of Traumatic Events on Turnover Intention among Nurses Working in Intensive Care Units: The Moderating Effect of Emotional Intelligence)

  • Purpose : The purpose of this study was to identify the moderating effects of emotional intelligence on the relationship between traumatic events and turnover intention among nurses working in intensive care units (ICUs). Method : In this predictive correlation study, the convenience sample included 133 ICU nurses. Data were collected using an online, structured self-report survey. The collected data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, an independent t-test, an analysis of variance, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and a hierarchical multiple regression analysis using SPSS/WIN 25.0. Results : The most frequently experienced traumatic events in ICUs were "nursing patients with abnormal behavior, including shouting and delirium," "end-of-life care," and "nursing patients with a risk of disease transmission, including AIDS and tuberculosis." The moderating effect of emotional intelligence was found to be statistically significant on the relationship between traumatic events and turnover intentions (𝛽=-0.15, p =.029). Conclusion : Intervention to improve the emotional intelligence of ICU nurses can be a salient strategy to reduce turnover intention resulting from traumatic events.

간호대학생의 감성지능 수준에 따른 스마트폰 중독과 의사소통능력의 차이 (Differences in Smartphone Addiction and Communcation Ability according to Emotional Intelligence in Nursing Students)

  • 본 연구는 간호대학생의 감성지능 수준에 따른 스마트폰 중독 정도와 의사소통능력 간의 차이를 파악하기 위해 시도되었다. B와 C시 2개의 간호대학에 재학 중인 228명을 대상으로 설문지를 이용하여 2016년 11월 28일부터 2016년 12월 16일까지 자료를 수집하였다. SPSS WIN23.0을 이용하여 빈도, Independent t-test, ANOVA, 피어슨 상관계수로 분석하였다. 연구결과 간호대학생의 감성지능 수준과 스마트폰 중독과는 관계가 없는 것으로 나타났으나 감성지능의 하위 영역 중 감성활용, 감성조절과 스마트폰 중독과는 부적 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타나 감성활용과 감성조절을 잘 할수록 스마트폰 중독 정도는 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 감성지능 수준과 의사소통능력과는 정적 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타나 감성지능 수준이 높을수록 의사소통을 잘 하는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 간호대학생의 감성지능 수준을 향상시켜 스마트폰 중독을 줄이고 의사소통능력을 향상시킬 수 있는 프로그램의 개발 및 적용이 필요하다.

전문간호사의 완벽주의와 소진의 관계에서 감성지능의 조절효과 (A Study on the Mediating Effect of Emotional Intelligence between Perfectionism and Burnout in Advanced Practice Nurses (APN))

  • Purpose: The aim of this study was to analyze relationships between perfectionism, burnout, and emotional intelligence in APN and to identify the mediating effect of emotional intelligence on the relationship between perfectionism and burnout. Methods: A structured self-report questionnaire was used to measure perfectionism, burnout, and emotional intelligence. Data were collected from 121 APN working in five advanced general hospitals and two general hospitals. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, Independent t-test, One-way ANOVA, Mann-Whitney U test, Pearson correlation and Hierarchical multiple regression with the SPSS/WIN 22.0 program. Results: Mean scores for each variable were: perfectionism 3.57 (on a 5-point scale), burnout 3.32 (on a 7-point scale), and emotional intelligence 5.00 (on a 7-point scale). Self-oriented perfectionism had a positive correlation with burnout, as did socially prescribed perfectionism. Emotional intelligence was a significant variable reducing burnout, as it also had a reverse buffering effect on the relationship between self-oriented perfectionism and burnout. Explanatory power of the final model based on variables was 34%. Conclusion: The results of this study suggest a mediating direction regarding burnout by demonstrating that emotional intelligence plays a direct and reverse buffering role to self-oriented perfectionism, which can be used to reduce burnout in APN.
