기능 안전성을 위한 대칭형 각도센서 보상기에 기반한 안전한 적응형 전조등 제어기의 설계 (Safe Adaptive Headlight Controller with Symmetric Angle Sensor Compensator for Functional Safety Requirement)

  • AFLS (Adaptive front lighting System) is being applied to improve safety in driving automotive at night. Safe embedded system for controlling head-lamp has to be tightly designed by considering safety requirement of hardware-dependent software, which is embedded in automotive ECU(Electronic Control Unit) hardware under severe environmental noise. In this paper, we propose an adaptive headlight controller with newly-designed symmetric angle sensor compensator, which is integrated with ECU-based adaptive front light system. The proposed system, on which additional backup hardware and emergency control algorithm are integrated, effectively detects abnormal situation and restore safe status of controlling the light-angle in AFLS operations by comparing result in symmetric angle sensor. The controlled angle value is traced into internal memory in runtime and will be continuously compared with the pre-defined lookup table (LUT) with symmetric angle value, which is used in normal operation. The watch-dog concept, which is based on using angle sensor and control-value tracer, enables quick response to restore safe light-controlling state by performing the backup sequence in emergency situation.

유연한 XY 위치결정 시스템을 위한 강인 동작 제어기 설계 (Robust Motion Controller Design for Flexible XY Positioning Systems)

  • A robust motion control method is proposed fur the point-to-point position control of a XY positioning system which consists of a base cart, elastic ben and moving mass. The horizontal motion controller consists of the feedforward controller to suppress the single mode vibration of the elastic beam and the feedback controller to get the high-accuracy positioning performance of the base cart. Input preshaping vibration suppression method based on system modeling with analytic frequency equation is proposed and integrated into the robust internal-loop compensator(RIC) to increase the robustness of the whole closed-loop system The vertical motion controller is proposed based on the dual RIC structure. Through experiments, it is shown that the proposed method can stabilize the system and suppress the vibration in the presence of uncertainties and disturbances.

  • This paper presents a dynamical anti-reset windup (ARW) compensation method for saturating control systems with multiple controllers and/or multiloop configuration. By regarding the difference of controller states in the absence and presence of saturating actuators as an objective function, the dynamical compensator which minimizes the objective function is derived in an integrated fashion. The proposed dynamical compensator is a closed form of plant and controller parameters. The resulting dynamics of compensated controller reflects the linear closed-loop system. The proposed method guarantees total stability of the resulting system. The effectiveness of the proposed method is illustrated by applying it to a servo motor control system. The paper is an extension of the results in Park and Choi[1].

  • This paper describes the highly-sensitive Si magnetic sensor using the amplitude modulation in order to real ice the integrated magnetic sensor which to sensor a weak magnetic field. Generally, the most important two parameters in Hall IC which degrade the ability of magnetic detection are the variation of offset according to the variation of temperature and the noise of amplifiers. In this paper, we use a Hall element and compensator to reduce the offset and the nouse of amplifiers by Using amplititude modulation method.

  • Gunner primary sight stabilization system is a fully integrated sensor package designed to provide the stabilized Line-of-Sight. In this study, to improve disturbance rejection capabilities, two types of compensator (LQG/LTR, Lead-Lag) were designed and then stabilization performances were compared under severe off-road environment. Simulation results shows that the stabilization performances using LQG/LTR methodology is better than Lead-Lag methodology in spite of dynamic uncertainties.

Integrated Simulations of a Floating Crane Installation Vessel with DP systems in Waves

  • The nonlinear time-domain analysis method was implemented to carry out a series of integrated simulations for a deep-water crane vessel system composed of four sub components, including a floating vessel, lifted equipment, hoisting cable and dynamic positioning (hereinafter DP) system. The analysis of the coupled dynamics consists of the crane vessel and equipment connected using the crane wire, and the DP is modeled according to the wind, wave and current conditions. The DP systems were numerically implemented using a classical PD feedback controller, and various simulations of the deepwater installation were conducted using different conditions in order to evaluate the global performance of the floating crane vessel combined with the DP system.

  • This paper analyzes the effect of DGS(Dispersed Generation System) on the voltage regulation of the traditional distribution system of which the voltage is controlled by the bank LDC(Line Drop Compensator). Through the simulation results for 22.9kV class distribution system with DGSs, some general relationships among the operating power factor and introduction limit of DGS, and the sending-end reference voltage determined by internal setting coefficients of the LDC are derived. Those relationships are that the introduction limit of DGS increases as the power factor of DGS goes from lagging to leading and also as the allowance of the sending-end reference voltage increases. From the relationships, a operation method of the power distribution system integrated with DGSs is proposed from the view point of the operating power factor of DGS and new voltage regulation method.

시정수 비교기를 이용한 작은 크기의 위상고정루프 (Small-size PLL with time constant comparator)

  • 본 논문에서는 변화하는 루프필터 전압을 시정수 비교기를 사용하여 감지하고, 이의 출력에 따라 루프필터 전압변화를 보상하여 단일 칩으로 구현이 가능한 작은 크기의 위상고정루프를 제안하였다. 제안된 위상고정루프는 기존 구조에서는 안전한 동작이 불가능한 크기인 작은 용량을 가지는 커패시터를 사용하여 칩의 크기를 최소화 하였다. 시정수 비교기는 작은 시정수 값을 가지는 저항, 커패시터와 높은 시정수 값을 가지는 저항, 커패시터를 통과한 신호들을 입력으로 받아 루프필터 출력 전압의 변화를 감지한다. 시정수가 큰 노드의 출력은 루프필터 출력전압의 평균 값을 가지고, 시정수가 작은 노드의 출력은 루프필터 출력전압과 거의 같은 값을 가진다. 각 노드의 차이를 비교하여 나온 출력은 전류 보상기를 제어하여 작은 크기의 루프필터 커패시터를 충 방전 시킨다. 이는 제안된 위상고정루프를 안정하게 동작하도록 한다. 제안된 위상고정루프는 1.8V $0.18{\mu}m$ CMOS 공정을 사용하여 설계하였고, Hspice 시뮬레이션을 통해 회로의 동작을 검증하였다.

  • In recent years, medium- to large-scale transportation machinery and machine tool manufacturing process lines have shown a trend toward centralization, softening, lightening, and slimming to reduce costs and increase productivity. This has increased the demand for vertical articulated robots. When developing and introducing a heavy weight-handling robot that can be easily applied to existing production lines, it is expected to have a great effect in securing industrial competitiveness by solving industrial issues such as the decreased productivity and increased risk of accidents due to work involving heavy lifting. In this study, we design a 6-axis robot mechanism with a heavy load-handling capacity of 700kg or more for large-sized materials of various types supplied in small quantities.

원자힘 현미경 융합형 마이크로스폿 분광타원계 개발 (Development of a Microspot Spectroscopic Ellipsometer Compatible with Atomic Force Microscope)

  • 기존 마이크로스폿 분광타원계의 집속광학계를 개선하여 원자힘 현미경(atomic force microscope, AFM) 헤드를 장착할 수 있도록 한 AFM 융합형 마이크로스폿 분광타원계를 개발하였다. 빔의 워블에 의한 영향을 최소화하기 위해 편광자-시료-보정기-검광자 배치에서 회전보정기 구동방식을 채택하고 이상적인 4분파장 위상지연 특성으로부터 벗어나는 비색성 위상지연자를 사용할 수 있도록 측정이론을 제시하였다. 개발된 마이크로스폿 분광타원계는 AFM 헤드를 장착한 상태에서도 20 ㎛ 이하의 스폿 사이즈를 가지며 190-850 nm의 파장대역에 걸쳐 구동하고 δΔ ≤ 0.05°와 δΨ ≤ 0.02°의 측정정밀도를 가지는 것을 확인하였다. 연속회전하는 스테핑 모터의 속도와 분광계를 정밀하게 동기화시켜 ≤3 s/sp의 빠른 측정속도를 구현하였다. AFM과 융합된 마이크로스폿 분광타원계는 초미세 패턴시료의 구조 및 광학물성 분석에 유용하게 사용될 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.
