  • This paper suggests a hybrid genetic algorithm for asymmetric traveling salesman problem(TSP). The TSP was proved to be NP-complete, so it is difficult to find optimal solution in reasonable time. Therefore it is important to develope an algorithm satisfying robustness. The algorithm applies dynamic programming to find initial solution. The genetic operator is uniform order crossover and scramble sublist mutation. And experiment of parameterization has been performed.

  • In this paper we consider the global well-posedness of compressible magnetohydrodynamic system in ℝd with d ≥ 2, in the framework of the critical Besov spaces. We can show that if the initial data, the shear viscosity and the magnetic diffusion coefficient are small comparing with the volume viscosity, then the compressible magnetohydrodynamic system has a unique global solution. Our result improves the previous one by Danchin and Mucha [10] who considered the compressible Navier-Stokes equations.

  • In this paper we study the quasi-neutral limit of the compressible magnetohydrodynamic flows in the periodic domain ${\mathbb{T}}^3$ with the well-prepared initial data. We prove that the weak solution of the compressible magnetohydrodynamic flows governed by the Poisson equation converges to the strong solution of the compressible flow of magnetohydrodynamic flows as long as the latter exists.

  • This paper is concerned the finite time blow-up of solution for higher-order nonlinear Kirchhoff-type equation with a degenerate term and a source term. By an appropriate Lyapunov inequality, we prove the finite time blow-up of solution for equation (1.1) as a suitable conditions and the initial data satisfying ||Dmu0|| > B-(p+2)/(p-2q), E(0) < E1.

  • Changes in water depth caused by underwater earthquakes and landslides cause sea surface undulations, which in turn propagate to the coast and result in significant damage as wave heights normally increase due to the wave shoaling process. Various types of numerical models have been developed to simulate the generation and propagation of tsunami waves. Most of tsunami models determine the initial surface of the water based on the assumption that the movement of the seabed is immediately and identically transmitted to the sea surface. However, this approach does not take into account the characteristics of underwater earthquakes that occur with time history and spatial variation. Thus, such an incomplete description on the initial generation of tsunami waves is totally reflected in the error during the simulation. In this study, the analytical solution proposed by Hammack (1973) was applied in the tsunami model in order to simulate the generation of initial water surface elevation by the change of water depth with time history and its propagation. The developed solution is expected to identify the relationship among various type of seabed motions, initial surface undulations, and wave speeds of elevated water surfaces.

  • Considerable interest has been shown in recent years towards utilizing $TiO_2$ particles as a photocatalyst in the degradation of harmful organic contaminants. In this study, photocatalytic degradation of diazinon which is extensively used as a pesticide in the agriculture field, has been investigated with UV-illuminated $TiO_2$ weight, UV wavelength, pH of the solution. Photodegradation rate increased with decreasing initial concentration of diazinon and with increasing pH of the solution. Photodegradation rate increased with increasing $TiO_2$ weight, but was nearly the same at $TiO_2$ weight of 1g/$\ell$, 2 g/$\ell$, i.e., for initial diazinon concentratin of 5 mg/$\ell$. UV wavelength affecting on the degradation rate of diazinon decreased in the order of 254 nm>312 nm> 365 nm. For $TiO_2$ weight of 1 g/$\ell$and initial diazinon concentration of 5 mg/$\ell$, the photodegradation removal of diazinon was 100% after 130 min in the case of 254 nm, but 95% in the case of 312 nm, and 84% in the case of 365nm, after 180 min. The photodegradation of diazinon followed a first order or a pseudo - first order reaction rate. For initial diazinon concentration of 5 mg/$\ell$, the rate constants(k) in UV and $TiO_2$(1 g/$\ell$)/UV system were $0.006 min^{-1} and 0.0252 min^{-1} at 254 nm, 0.0055 min^{-1} and 0.0104 min^{-1} at 312 nm, and 0.004 min^{-1}$ at 365 nm respectively.

  • Embracing a suggestion by Sullivan(1984) and minimizing the sum of the estimation variances at all thresholds, a rigorous solution to order relatioll problems in multiple indi gator kriging is formulated. By utilizing the particular structure of the resulting optimization problem, a solution algorithm is developed that requires little computational effort beyond the initial indicator kriging. Thus, this proposed solution is computationally efficient, mathematically consistent, and based upon an explicit statistical foundation-unlike many of the ad hoc solutions currently in use.

  • LQ actuator selection problem for multi-input system discussed in this paper is to determine optimal actuator out of many actuators and input sequences so as to minimize the quadratic control performance. The solution of this problem depends on initial values and has a combinatorial property, so it is extremely difficult to get an optimal solution. For this difficulty, we proposed the concept of comparability of actuators and showed the uniqueness of the solution[1] . Further, to get general optimal solution for LQ problem with actuator selection strategies, we derived the equivalent condition for the comparability of actuator in single-input system . In this paper we extend this result to the case of multi-input system. The derived sufficient condition is applicable in the case of positive semi-definite comparability matrices.

  • With the accuracy of the nonlinearity guaranteed, plenty of time and large memory space are needed when we solve the finite element numerical solution of nonlinear partial differential equations. In this paper, we use the Group Element Method (GEM) to deal with the non-linearity of the BBM-Burgers Equation with Conservation form and perform a numerical analysis for two particular initial-boundary value (the Dirichlet boundary conditions and Neumann-Dirichlet boundary conditions) problems with the Finite Element Method (FEM). Some numerical experiments are performed to analyze the error between the exact solution and the FEM solution in MATLAB.

  • This paper deals with a discrete simulation optimization method for designing a complex probabilistic discrete event simulation. The developed algorithm uses the configuration algorithm that can change decision variables and the stopping algorithm that can end simulation in order to satisfy the given objective value during single run. It tries to estimate an auto-regressive model for evaluating correctly the objective function obtained by a small amount of output data. We apply the proposed algorithm to M/M/s model, (s, S) inventory model, and known-function problem. The proposed algorithm can't always guarantee the optimal solution but the method gives an approximate feasible solution in a relatively short time period. We, therefore, show the proposed algorithm can be used as an initial feasible solution of existing optimization methods that need multiple simulation run to search an optimal solution.
