  • 어플을 사용하여 사용자 등록과 휴대폰 카메라를 사용하여 얼굴을 등록하고, 파이카메라에 촬영된 얼굴 이미지를 바탕으로 OpenCV를 이용하여 출입하는 인원의 식별과 열화상 카메라를 통해 체온 측정을 수행하여 사용자의 출입 기록을 저장한다. 기존의 QR코드 인식과 체온 측정을 동시에 수행하여 출입 시스템의 간소화를 기대할 수 있다.

  • Up-to-date manufacturing companies have faced a market-driven environment of pull production order. There should be a difference in operating manufacturing resources according to the type, quantity, and delivery time of manufactured products, because the process situation in pull production is changed by customer orders. And it should be taken into account from the stage of preparing for production such as process design and the placement and utilization of manufacturing resources. However, the feasibility of production plans is limited because most of small manufacturing businesses make production/supply plan of the parts and products assuming that equipment abilities in scheduling is sufficient without managing process standard information systemically. In this study, a discrete event simulation system based on BOM (bill of material), that is F-OPIS (online productivity innovation system), is introduced and a case study on application of the system leading to improving productivities is presented. F-OPIS deals with a decision-problem on production management and it is specialized for small-and- medium sized manufacturing companies. The target company of this case study is a typical small-and-medium sized manufacturing company in Korea, that produces various machined parts. The target company adopts make-to-stock production management to prevent tardy delivery because of fluctuations in demand. Therefore, it is required to apply an efficient inventory control solution for improving productivities. In this paper, based on the constraints of working capacity of manufacturing resources, the bottleneck process is analyzed as production conditions are changed. Consequently, an improvement plan is proposed, that eventually enhances overall utilization rates of resources in the bottleneck process and reduces overall production lead-time and inventory level.

  • 최근 국방관련 소프트웨어 산업은 자원 및 비용의 한계를 극복하기 위해서 M&S(Modeling & Simulation) 기반의 분산 시뮬레이션 시스템 개발을 늘리고 있다. 이러한 시스템을 개발하는데 있어 모의되는 개체의 재사용성과 개체 간 상호운용성의 제공은 핵심기술 중 하나이다. HLA 인터페이스 표준 구현물인 RTI는 이러한 핵심기술을 제공할 수 있는 소프트웨어로써, 시뮬레이션에 참여하는 모의기 간 정보교환을 위해서 시뮬레이션 연동모델인 FOM(Federation Object Model)을 사용하며, 각각의 모의기는 참여하는 시뮬레이션 내에서 동일한 FOM을 소유해야만 하는 특징을 지닌다. 본 논문에서는 기 개발된 HLA/RTI 기반의 시뮬레이션 네트워크 관리자에 적용된 연동모델의 재사용성과 상호운용성을 향상시키기 위해서 SISO 표준인 BOM(Base Object Model) 모델의 특징을 살펴보고, FOM 모델의 모듈화를 통해서 시뮬레이션 네트워크 관리자의 구조설계 방안을 제시한다.

Improved Hybrid Symbiotic Organism Search Task-Scheduling Algorithm for Cloud Computing

  • Task scheduling is one of the most challenging aspects of cloud computing nowadays, and it plays an important role in improving overall performance in, and services from, the cloud, such as response time, cost, makespan, and throughput. A recent cloud task-scheduling algorithm based on the symbiotic organisms search (SOS) algorithm not only has fewer specific parameters, but also incurs time complexity. SOS is a newly developed metaheuristic optimization technique for solving numerical optimization problems. In this paper, the basic SOS algorithm is reduced, and chaotic local search (CLS) is integrated into the reduced SOS to improve the convergence rate. Simulated annealing (SA) is also added to help the SOS algorithm avoid being trapped in a local minimum. The performance of the proposed SA-CLS-SOS algorithm is evaluated by extensive simulation using the Matlab framework, and is compared with SOS, SA-SOS, and CLS-SOS algorithms. Simulation results show that the improved hybrid SOS performs better than SOS, SA-SOS, and CLS-SOS in terms of convergence speed and makespan.

Development of Information System for Product Redesign: Evaluation of Assembly Process and Characteristics of Product Functions

  • Since product design strongly depends on the experience and ability of the designers, and a long lead time is required for the product design stage, introducing a support system related to this experience and ability is an effective technique to reduce the lead time. In this paper, an information system is developed to support the development of engineering mechanisms with the evaluation of the assembly process on the basis of the abstract functions required for new products. The developed system is based on a database system involving the following data structure: (1) a hierarchical structure related to information about the product functions, (2) the relationship between the parts and engineering functions and/or mechanisms of products, and (3) the relationship between the parts and manufacturing characteristics. The system stores the relationships between the product functions, structure of parts, and assembly characteristics. This information can then be interactively retrieved using the data structure described in (1), (2), and (3). A procedure for designing new products is proposed that involves using the information about existing products. This paper presents the characteristics of the proposed procedure and the developed information system. In addition, a case study of the redesign of a simple structured robot by using the proposed procedure is discussed.

OOIDEF0 기반의 정보시스템 분석 및 설계 기법: 조선 PDM 시스템 적용사례 (An Information System Analysis and Design Methodology Based on Object-Oriented IDEF0: A Case Study for the PDM System of ship Production)

  • Recently, object-oriented techniques have been used more and more for developments of an information system. But, established object-oriented methodologies are hard to express a business process of various abstract degrees in the analysis level and independent components of the system. They have difficulties in developing a large-scale information system of manufacturing industry such as PDM and CIM. This paper proposes an information system development methodology that imports the object-oriented IDEF0 (OOIDEF0) function model in analysis level. This methodology is made up of requirements gathering, system analysis, system design, and implementation. In requirements gathering level, organization diagram and interview technique are used for input data of OOIDEF0 function model. The OOIDEF0 function model, the interface model and function descriptions are made out in analysis level. Information objects and implementation objects are designed on the basis of the OOIDEF0 function model in design level. The database is built and programming is accomplished in implementation level. In order to prove the consistency and efficiency of the proposed methodology, the PDM system for ship production is modeled and prototyped.

AUTOMATIC GENERATION OF BUILDING FOOTPRINTS FROM AIRBORNE LIDAR DATA

  • Airborne LIDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) technology has reached a degree of the required accuracy in mapping professions, and advanced LIDAR systems are becoming increasingly common in the various fields of application. LiDAR data constitute an excellent source of information for reconstructing the Earth's surface due to capability of rapid and dense 3D spatial data acquisition with high accuracy. However, organizing the LIDAR data and extracting information from the data are difficult tasks because LIDAR data are composed of randomly distributed point clouds and do not provide sufficient semantic information. The main reason for this difficulty in processing LIDAR data is that the data provide only irregularly spaced point coordinates without topological and relational information among the points. This study introduces an efficient and robust method for automatic extraction of building footprints using airborne LIDAR data. The proposed method separates ground and non-ground data based on the histogram analysis and then rearranges the building boundary points using convex hull algorithm to extract building footprints. The method was implemented to LIDAR data of the heavily built-up area. Experimental results showed the feasibility and efficiency of the proposed method for automatic producing building layers of the large scale digital maps and 3D building reconstruction.

텍스트 마이닝을 통한 건설기계분야 국내 정부 R&D 연구동향 분석 (Text-Mining Analysis of Korea Government R&D Trends in Construction Machinery Domains)

  • To investigate the national science and technology policy direction in the field of construction machinery, an analysis was conducted on projects selected as national research and development (R&D) initiatives by the government. Assuming that the project titles contain key keywords, text mining was employed to substantiate this assumption. Project information data spanning nine years from 2014 to 2022 was collected through the National Science & Technology Information Service (NTIS). To observe changes over time, the years were divided into three-year sections. To analyze research trends efficiently, keywords were categorized into groups: 'equipment,' 'smart,' and 'eco-friendly.' Based on the collected data, keyword frequency analysis, N-gram analysis, and topic modeling were performed. The research findings indicate that domestic government R&D in the construction machinery field primarily focuses on smart-related research and development. Specifically, investments in monitoring systems and autonomous operation technologies are increasing. This study holds significance in analyzing objective research trends through the utilization of big data analysis techniques and is expected to contribute to future research and development planning, strategic formulation, and project management.

인식거리 향상을 위한 UHF 대역 RFID 태그 임피던스 정합 설계 (Impedance Tuning and Matching Characteristics of UHF RFID Tag for Increased Reading Range)

  • We investigated the impedance matching characteristics of UHF-band RFID tag antenna and tag chip for increased reading range. A voltage multiplier designed using 0.4 $\mu$m zero-$V_T$ MOSFET showed that DC output voltage of about 2 V can be obtained using standard CMOS process. The input impedance of the voltage multiplier was examined to achieve impedance matching to the RFID tag antenna using analytical and numerical approaches. The input impedance of the voltage multiplier could be varied in a wide range by selecting the size of MOSFET and the number of multiplying stages, and thus can be impedance matched to a tag antenna in presence of other tag circuit blocks. A meander line inductively-coupled RFID tag antenna operating at UHF band also shows the feasibility of impedance matching to tile RFID tag chip.

1차원 RLH-TL 방사효과 모델링 및 해석 (Modeling and analysis of radiation effects for 1-D RLH-TL)

  • 본 논문에서는 기존의 Right/left-handed 전송선(RLH-TL)에 집중 직렬 캐패시터와 병렬 인덕터 구현으로 발생하는 방사 효과를 포함하여 단위 셀을 모델링한다. 방사 효과가 고려된 RLH-TL 단위셀의 등가 회로를 제공하고 갭 커패시터와 션트 인터터에서의 방사율에 따른 Bloch 임피던스와 복소 전파상수를 해석한다. 두 개의 방사율이 같을 때 RLH-TL의 Block 임피던스는 RH-TL의 특성임피던스와 같아짐을 보인다. 게다가, 주어진 주파수에서 특정한 위상 변화를 위한 단위 셀의 설계 공식을 유도하여 제공한다. 마지막으로, 안테나 응용을 위해 RLH-TL에서 다양한 방법으로 방사효과를 control할 수 있는 설계 공식을 제공한다.
