영아보육교사의 전문성 향상을 위한 현직교사교육 프로그램의 현황, 효과검증 및 향후 과제 (A Study of Infant Care Teacher's Training Program and Its Effectiveness : Implications for Research and Practice in Early Childhood Education and Care)

  • 본 연구에서는 보육교사의 전문성과 자질을 향상시켜야 한다는 시대 사회적인 필요성에 입각하여 현재 우리나라에서 보건복지령에서 정하는 전문기관에서 위탁하여 실시되고 있는 영아보육교사 교사교육의 현주소를 파악해 보고자 하였다. 또한 지난 몇 년간 "영아기의 발달적 특수성, 보살핌과 가르침의 통합성, 영아보육에서의 포괄적 서비스제공의 필요성"에 기초하여 "영아전문가과정(Infant Care Specialist Program)"을 개설하여 성공적으로 운영하고 있는 국내 한 영아전문가 과정의 실제를 소개하고, 본 과정의 효과를 검증하였다. 그 결과, 본 영아전문가 과정에 참여한 교사들의 사후 교사효능감과 영아발달지식수준이 사전에 비해 유의한 변화가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이에 향후 영아교사 현직 교육프로그램의 내실화 방안을 마련하는데 있어 정책적, 제도적 제언을 제공하였다.

보육직무능력 프로그램이 영아교사의 보육효능감, 보육교사역할수행, 교사민감성에 미치는 효과 (The effect of Child Care-Work Ability Program on Efficacy of Child Care, Role Performance, and Sensitivity of Infant Teachers)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 보육직무능력 프로그램의 효과를 검증하는 것이다; 즉 보육시설에서 보육효능감, 교사역할수행, 교사민감성 향상을 위한 교육을 함으로써 보육효능감, 영아교사의 역할수행, 영아의 요구에 대한 교사민감성을 증진시키고자 하는 것이다. 본 연구대상은 정읍시의 44명의 영아담당 보육교사들이다. 이들은 통제집단 22명과 실험집단 22명의 교사로 나뉘어졌다. 교사들은 보육효능감, 교사역할수행, 교사 민감성을 평가하기 위해 사전-사후검사로서 질문지에 응답하였다. 본 연구결과, 보육직무능력 프로그램에 참여한 실험집단의 보육효능감, 교사역할수행, 교사민감성이 통제집단에 비해 유의하게 증진되었다. 결국, 보육효능감, 교사역할수행, 민감성을 향상시키기 위해 수행된 프로그램의 효과가 있음을 알 수 있었다.

산후조리원의 산모의 신생아 돌보기 교육 요구도와 교육 만족도 (The Educational Needs and Satisfactory about Infant Care of the Mothers in the Post-partum Care Center)

  • This study was designed to compare the educational needs and satisfactory about infant care of the mothers in the Post-partum Care Center for development of the educational program. The subjects for this study were 100 mothers in the Post-partum Care Center in Seoul and Buchon. The data were collected during the period from Feb. to March, 2000. The Educational Need and satisfactory for Infant Care was measured by questionnaire that has developed by researchers. The data were analysed by descriptive statistics, paired t-test using SPSS PC+ WIN. The results were as fellow; 1) The educational needs of the mothers in the Post-partum Care Center were high (mean=4.32). 2) The satisfactory of the mothers in the Post-partum Care Center of educational program of infant care were middle range (mean=3.60). 3) The educational needs of infant cares in the Post-partum Care Center were higher than satisfactory of the mothers in the Post-partum Care Center of educational program of infant care(t=7.71 p=.000). 4) The educational need by content was signs, symptoms and management of disorders(i.g. cyanosis, seizure, fever, etc.) were higher than general care of baby(i.g. feeding, diaper change etc.). In conclusion, when the infant caregiver in the Post-partum Care Center teaching the method of infant care to mother, there should be in consideration of educational need of mother. And its educational contents must be included of mental and emotional development and signs, symptoms and management of disorders.

보육시설과 가정의 연계를 통한 감각활동이 영아의 신체발달과 영아-부모 상호작용에 미치는 효과 (The Effects of the Child Care Center-Family Linked Sensory Activity on Infant's Physical Development and Infant-Parent Interaction)

  • 본 연구는 보육시설에서 이루어지는 영아 감각활동을 가정과 연계하여 실시함으로써 영아의 신체발달과 영아-부모 상호작용에 미치는 효과를 알아보고 이를 통해 영아의 발달과 부모의 자녀양육에 도움을 주고자 하였다. 본 연구의 연구대상은 K시의 S어린이집과 D어린이집에 재원중인 만 1 2세 영아 56명과 영아의 어머니 또는 아버지 56명이다. 연구도구는 교사용 1 2세 영아발달평가도구(이영자, 이종숙, 신은수, 곽향림, 이정욱, 2002)중 일부와 Assessment Profile for Early Childhood Program(APECP)(Abbott-Shim & Sibely, 1987)를 수정하여 사용한 선행연구(강숙현, 2002)를 참고하여 영아-부모 상호작용 설문지를 작성하여 사용하였다. 보육시설-가정연계 감각활동은 표준보육과정에 근거하여 육아정책개발센터(2007)에서 개발한 프로그램과 삼성복지재단(2003)의 영아프로그램을 바탕으로 선정된 감각활동을 보육시설의 월간 계획안에 반영하여 1주일에 3회씩 총 8주에 걸쳐 24회 실시하였다. 연구결과, 첫째, 보육시설-가정연계 감각활동을 적용한 집단은 통제집단보다 영아의 신체발달에서 부분적으로 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 보육시설-가정연계 감각활동을 적용한 집단은 통제집단에 비해 전체적으로 영아-부모 상호작용 증진에 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다.

영아보육 프로그램의 질적 수준에 대한 보육시설의 자체평가 (Self-Evaluation of the Quality of Center-Based Infant/Toddler Care)

  • This research aimed to analyze the quality of center-based infant/toddler programs in Korea. Scale for infant and toddler programs divide accreditation standards into 4 areas(physical environment, curriculum, health care, management system) with 60 standards. Standards can be divided into basic criteria and general criteria. The subjects are 149 day care centers(44 infant day care centers and 105 day care centers), and raters(teachers or principal) assessed the quality of each item on a 5-point Likert scale. The results of this study are as follows: 1) Self-evaluation result have marked 3.67 as average(range : 2.32~4.90), which barely meets basic criteria level. 2) Physical environment area has received worst score(3.41) and Health care area has received best score(3.92). 3) Each standard's score indicate the quality of infant/toddler care program: Feed care(4.29), Affectionate teacher-infant interaction(4.14) were highly rated while Nature environment/anmal/plant(2.75) and Teacher's facilities(2.74) were rated low. 4) Some variation factors showed differences in the qualitative level; number of child, education level of principal.

아버지와 어머니의 부모 효능감, 양육지식 및 민감성의 비교 연구 - 영아기 자녀를 둔 부모를 대상으로 - (A Comparative Study between fathers and mothers on the Parenting Efficacy, Knowledge of Infant-care and Sensitivity)

  • The purpose of this study is comparing parenting efficacy, knowledge of infant-care and sensitivity, The subjects of this study were 100 parents having 12-24 monthes old child in the city of Jeonju, Korea. Parenting efficacy was developed by Shin, Suk-Jae(1997) and consisting of 16 questions. The knowledge of infant-care was assessed using Knowledge of Child Development Inventory(KCDI) by Yoon Hyung Ju, which was modified by pedology Professor and 3 graduate school students in master's or doctorate courses. In addition, by using a tool made by Gwon, Mi-Gyeong(1998) centering on the literatures on infant cue in Barnard's NCAST program, the parents' sensitivity of infant cue is investigated. The statistical analysis of the collected data is done with SPSS 10.0, and frequency, percentage, average, standard deviation, t/F test and Pearson's correlation are also used. The results of this study were as following: First, mother's parenting efficacy was higher than father's. There were significant differences in parenting efficacy by eudcational level of mothers. Second, knowledge of infant-care was higher in mothers than fathers. Areas that mothers have knowledge of infant-care in the order of the lowest areas are emotional development, sociality development, physical development and cognitive development. Third, mothers reaction to infant cue is more sensitive and positive than father's. Fourth, There were positive correlations with father's parenting efficacy and knowledge of infant-care on emotional development, and paternal parenting uneasiness has negative correlations with his sociality development and emotional development.Meanwhile, There were positive correlations with mother's parenting efficacy and knowledge of infant-care on emotional development. Maternal parenting efficacy has negative correlations with her knowledge of infant-care on emotional development.

미국 조기헤드스타트의 문헌고찰을 통한 한국의 영아보육에 관한 연구 (Implications of American Early Head Start for the Korean Infant/toddler Care System)

  • Early Head Start (EHS) can provide services to a child and family from pre-birth until the child is three years old. Services are comprehensive, intensive, individualized and flexible according to child and family needs, and integrated with community service delivery systems. The local program designs and operations were developed and carried out within the framework of the Head Start Revised Performance Standards, which included specific provisions for services to pregnant women, infants and toddlers and emphasized prevention, early intervention, safety, and health education. As with preschool Head Start, EHS programs are required to make available 10 percent of their enrollment for infants and toddlers with disabilities as defined by Part C regulations of the state in which the program operated. Quality child care has become a priority for EHS. A majority of EHS children need child care, and the quality is important to their development. An evaluation of EHS in 17 programs selected from the first program cohorts showed that the program had significant and positive impacts on a wide range of parent and child dimensions, some with implications for children's later school success. Among the issues for policy attention identified by American EHS for the Korean system are: - The need to create a comprehensive infant/toddler care system - The need to address access of teachers for young children - The need to improve quality.

영유아보건생활 교육프로그램 개발에 관한 연구 (Health Education Program Development for Infants, Toddlers and Preschool Children)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to develop a health education program for child care workers of infants, toddlers and preschoolers to improve their care ability. The program provided child care teachers and children with information on how to take care of their health. Method: This program development was based on a systematic design of instruction by Dick & Carey(1996). The process included a review of literature, setting an instructional goal, getting advice from various experts, designing instruction and instructional medias, designing formative evaluation, revising the program and making a summative evaluations. Result: The products of this program were the 'Teachers Guide Book & CD-ROM.' The guide book included health education programs for infants, toddlers and preschoolers. The infant program included a basic baby care program for teachers. The toddlers and preschoolers program included basic health promotion, dental health, nutrition management, communicable disease prevention, substance abuse prevention and a safety program. Conclusion: These programs provided a systematic content of health education for children and their teachers, and useful data which can be applied to child care centers.

어린이집 유아반 교사를 위한 교사학습공동체 프로그램 개발 및 적용 (The Development and Application of a Teacher Learning Community Program for Daycare Center Teachers of Infant Class)

  • Objective: The objective of this study was to develop and apply a Teacher Learning Community Program in order to improve the specialization of infant daycare center teachers and explore the changes in the learning attitudes of teachers. Methods: To develop the program, the requirements were analyzed by surveying 500 teachers of infant classes. The developed program was provided to 25 infant daycare center teachers for a total of 14 sessions. A total of 75 sets of collected journal writing materials were analyzed qualitatively. Results: First, the Teacher Learning Community Program for infant daycare center teachers was developed. Second, the Teacher Learning Community Program was found to bring a shift in the learning attitudes among the teachers of infant classes towards reflective and communal learning. Conclusion/Implications: The Teacher Learning Community Program brought a shift in the learning attitude towards reflective and communal learning. Thus, the Teacher Learning Community Program can be applied as a teacher education program for improvement of the specialization of infant daycare center teachers.

유아-교사 친밀관계 및 유아의 어린이집 적응 향상을 위한 집단치료놀이 프로그램의 효과 (The Effects of a Group Theraplay Program for Enhancing Intimacy in Infant-Teacher Relationships and Adaptation to Child Care Centers)

  • 본 연구에서는 유아-교사 친밀관계 및 유아의 어린이집 적응 향상을 위한 집단치료놀이 프로그램을 개발하고 효과를 검증하였다. 만 2-3세 유아 16명이 연구에 참여하였으며 실험집단과 통제집단에 각각 8명씩 배정되었다. 실험집단에는 매 회 45분, 주 2회씩, 총 10회기의 집단치료놀이를 실시하였고 통제집단에는 어떤 처치도 제공하지 않았다. 유아-교사 친밀관계(Pianta, 2001) 및 어린이집 적응(Jewsuwan, Luster & Kostelnik, 1993) 척도를 사용해 사전 사후검사를 실시하였다. 맨 휘트니 유 검정과 윌콕슨 부호 순위 검정을 실시하여 자료 분석 한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 사전검사에서 두 집단의 유아-교사 친밀관계는 동질적이었으나 사후검사에서는 실험집단의 유아-교사 친밀관계가 유의하게 향상되었다. 둘째, 사전검사에서 두 집단의 어린이집 적응 수준은 동질적이었으나 사후검사에서는 실험집단의 어린이집 적응 수준이 유의하게 향상되었다. 결론적으로, 집단치료놀이 프로그램은 유아-교사 친밀관계와 유아의 어린이집 적응 향상에 효과적이었다.
