Individual and Organizational Effect of IT Human Resources on Career Satisfaction, Career Prospects and Career Commitment (IT인력의 개인과 조직특성이 경력만족, 경력전망 및 경력몰입에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구)

  • This paper investigates the effect of individual and organizational factors of IT human resources on their career satisfaction, career prospect and career commitment. In this paper, a quantitative method was used to study the effect; A survey of IT developers and IT related employees was conducted. Factor analyses and regression analyses were used in verifying the consequences. As a result, followings were found:From the individual perspective, the self-esteem of IT human resource showed the most significant effect on career satisfaction and the desire for career success had significant effect on career commitment. Among organizational factors, the fairness of evaluation showed the most significant effect on both career prospect and career commitment. It has been also shown that organizations should provide more opportunities for individual growth to enhance career prospect. Finally, career prospect affected career satisfaction; Both career satisfaction and career prospect showed effect on career commitment. This research provided guidelines in enhancing the career commitment of IT human resources, thereby effectively managing IT human resources.

  • The speed of change on information technology is very fast, so it demands a continuous competency development in IT human resource management. If the competency development for IT personnel can not keep up with the change of Technology, IT personnel cannot accomplish their IT job under new IT environment. For this reason, many companies have tried to manage IT organization separately and IT job system on the technology basis. Although the training of IT is different from that of other field in feature, few studies about IT human resources system have been conduced. Therefore this study focuses on the training system of IT personnel and suggests the framework for institutionalizing the operation policy and the individual process through a case study methodology. This paper chose one company as a case study which implemented the training system of IT personnel recently, and the proposed framework based on the literature review from this study applied to a company. The study shows that IT job system needs to be reasonably established, job descriptions should be appropriate to IT job, and there exist two training paths according to two career path - Specialist and Generalist. For the purpose of high performance in IT division, the training manager should understand IT job system, the people who need training, and keep an eye on the IT trends and new IT skills.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze technical manpower management problems that were made by specialized construction company, centering on the field of machinery and equipments, to offer an improvement of technical manpower management. For this study, the adapted research method select owners&foremans on 18 specialized construction company by machinery&equipment services and on-site supervisors on general contractor and then investigate the problem of contract and subcontract by survey. After analyzing the actual state of management, it present an improvement of technical manpower management. The results of this research are as follows. 1) It is analyzed foreman had a number of difficulty for dealing manpower management because of subordinate relationship between supervisor and foreman. 2) The improvement of technical manpower management is concluded that foreman is to be on- site proxy supervisor or to be hired by an annual salary.

  • The development in IT technology has brought about various services that are on offer based on a new service model. But such new services have increased security risks. The government is operating a program to foster experts in information security to protect assets from the threat of such risks, too. Society's awareness on the importance of information security has also grown, leading to various courses to train such personnel, including membership clubs for the fostering of such specialists. This study seeks to suggest a method that efficiently manages the convergence of running a curriculum on ISMS(information security management systems) and a club that focuses on information protection. Such converged information security courses are expected to contribute to a safer IT-based society.

  • Recently, Housing projects in the center of the Metropolis are getting higher, larger, more complex gradually, the resources are increasing greatly. Especially, the right manpower in the right place could quite important factor because the construction cites are wide and many subcontractors and labors throw into finish works in High-rise Housing projects. Differing from apartment building projects. it is only four or five years that high rise building projects are started so, there is little data for manpower information. Furthermore it is difficult that the data gathering and managing because manpower management is usually used to execute by subcontractors from supply to demand. Consequently, this study, proposed develop management for accurate manpower plan and efficient collection and practical use of manpower information through analysis of present condition in construction sites

  • 많은 기업들이 IT 인력의 역량개발의 방법의 일환으로 교육훈련을 실시하게 되는데 이의 효과를 높이기 위해서 IT 직무의 기술기반 정립과 관리가 필요하다. 하지만 IT 인력의 교육이 여타 다른 인력의 교육체계와 다른 특성을 보이고 있음에도 불구하고, IT 인력의 교육체계수립에 대해 이런 특성을 반영한 연구는 거의 이루어지지 않고 있다. 본 연구는 IT 인력의 교육체계를 수립하고 그 운영방안을 제도화하기 위한 프레임워크를 제시하고 그것을 사례 연구를 통하여 비교해 보고자 한다.

  • Existing human resources dispatch systems face various limits for managing increasing information derived from the work-place as it required much time managing the basic data created at the work-place and the data input methods are complicated. This study focuses on how to solve the above mentioned problems by utilizing the cellular phone system, which provides vital connection between the organizations using the dispatched human resources and the resources. The study offers building of a necessary work history data base and its management through development of a mobile human resources dispatch system. In order to optimally place the given resources, the system utilizes deductive analytical process. Utilizing the intelligent, deductive analytical process in properly planning the placing of the right human resources to do the job will result satisfaction in human resources dispatch and management.

  • There have been constant requests for urgently recruiting professionals in the archives to establish archival management systems by reflecting public institutional feature as well as reinforcing expertise and independence of them. However, it is true that some even adequate professional manpower haven't been secured at each level of public institutions due to ambiguous standards for the placement of professionals in the field of records management followed by the current [Public Records Management Act]. Thereupon, this study is to create records management task model for the archival management institutions with the workload of records management induced by the model, and to present reasonable scale of workforce to deal with the assignment. Moreover, here is shown which professional staff should be allocated for better efficiency and systems to carry out the task of records management in each relevant institution.

An Analysis on the Propriety of Labor Input at Design Stage in Construction Management (건설사업 관리에 있어서 설계이전단계의 인력투입 적정성 분석)

  • In the execution of construction management, such pre-design steps as a planning stage, a basic design stage, and a work design stage are regarded as more important than an actual construction stage. However, the manpower input criterion from the aspect of construction management price standard in the Construction Engineering Management Law does not attach weight to the pre-design stage. In this regard, the aim of this study was to examine the propriety of manpower input in the pre-design stage of construction management and then present an improvement strategy of it. For this, the investigator examined the criterion of service price prescribed in the Construction Engineering Management Law and then comparatively analyzed four sites of construction management services. Study findings are as follows: 1) the actual state of manpower input based on the stepwise average price criterion of construction management service is presented with such steps as the newly established planning step (6.6%), the basic design stage (3.9%$\rightarrow$5.6%), the practical design stage(7.6%$\rightarrow$13.5%), the construction stage (88.5%$\rightarrow$64.0%), and the newly established maintenance stage (10.3%). The average price criterion is classified by total construction expenses and calculated by improved rates and stage; and 2) the three-step criterion of the Construction Engineering Management Law is classified into five stages including the planning stage and the maintenance stage by dividing it with the stepwise construction businesses. Study findings show that the calculation of price criterion in the actual site of construction management services must be operated in a practical and flexible manner and the systematic improvement of stepwise manpower input must be carried out actually.

  • Since diplomatic relations with China in 1992, many Korean companies have entered into China and that expansion is currently continuing. But now, many of Korean enterprises tend to withdraw and return to the domestic, this is because that major factors are too much fast increasing in labor costs and the difficulty of local workforce management. In this study, it is researched that the type of human resource management of Korean firms entering into Heilongjiang Province, Harbin and the similarities and differences were investigated by comparing the form of personnel management of existing areas and Harbin area, and then this study was conducted the survey and interview of domestic companies operating in Harbin, to pursuit the efficient way to manage the workforce development and management strategies. The result of researches and workforce development strategies of entering firms are as follows; First, it is required to establish a human resource discovery system for entering companies in focusing on managerial work ability and on blue-collar which is separated by professional and technical experts and a simple blue-collar people. Second, it is required to entering companies that they have to grow up the promotion and exchange of the Department of Korean Studies in Harbin and have to build the industry and universities training programs to promote needed experts, and have to establish the expert pool systems to support the flexible labor supply.
