  • Because MCCB, ELB, etc. discharge both technical and economical duty, it is important that the study of circuit breaker guarantee high-performance and realize the power distribution system with reliability. Because of complexity electrical equipment, the accident with imbalance and flicker occur often according to technical improvement. However, study of accident with harmonics remains. In this paper, the essential characteristic of circuit breaker is introduced. To analysis operation of circuit breaker, theoretical model and several simulations have been performed.

  • It is a experimental report to investigate optimum exposure technics in angiocardiography. Because of x-ray absorption and rapid voluntary motion in the heart region, it bound that discrimination ability of the exposed film is being decreased in ACG To circumvent these disadvantage it must be necessary to use short time exposure technics and also high capacity equipment in ACG. But in the case of using the low tube voltage to improve contrast on the exposed film, it will be result in a many difficulties in interpretation of the image due to increased contrast in vertebral images. Therefore the ranges 80 kVp to 90 kVp of could be suitable for the purpose of good contrast and an excellent discrimination ability and under this circumstance the optimum grid ratio for ACG was 8:1 to 12:1.

  • Due to high permeability of the ferrite core, the characteristics of the ICP are expected to be greatly improved. We investigated the effect of the ferrite cores on conventional inductively coupled plasma. It was observed that the current and voltage in ike ICP antenna are slightly decreased and the power transfer efficiency is increased. However, due to eddy current and hysterisis loss, plasma density in the ICP with the ferrite cores is not increased. It seems that the ICP with the ferrite cores at low frequency (${\~}$100kHz) will be greatly improved since the losses at the low frequency can be negligible.

Effects of Plasma Treatment on the Reliability of a-IGZO TFT

  • High reliability thin film transistors are important factors for next-generation displays. The reliability of transparent a-IGZO semiconductors is being actively studied for display applications. A plasma treatment can fill the oxygen vacancies in the channel layer and the channel layer/insulating layer interface so that the device can work stably under a bias voltage. This paper studies the effect of plasma treatment on the performance of a-IGZO TFT devices. The influence of different plasma gases on the electrical parameters of device and its working reliability are reviewed. The article mentions argon, fluorine, hydrogen and several ways of processing in the atmosphere. Among these methods, F (fluorine) plasma treatment can maximize equipment reliability. It is expected that the presented results will form a basis for further research to improve the reliability of a-IGZO TFT.

  • 본 논문에서는 고압 대용량 전동기 구동용 멀티레벨 인버터의 종류 및 특징을 간략히 살펴보고, 특히 입출력 전력품질이 우수하고 전압별 시리즈화가 용이한 H-브릿지 멀티레벨 인버터의 구조적 특징 및 장점을 기술하였다. 연구 개발된 3,300V lMVA 용량의 Cascaded H-브릿지 멀티레벨 인버터의 구체적인 전력회로 구조 및 설계방법, 제어기 구성 그리고 PWM 기법을 제시하였다. 또한, 실용량의 시험을 통해 H-브릿지 멀티레벨 인버터는 출력 전압 Step이 여러 단계이고 dv/dt가 적으며 입력단 THD를 크게 낮출 수 있어 성능 면에서도 여타 방식보다 우수함을 입증하였다. 또한 생산적인 측면에서도 저압 소자를 사용하여 설계하므로 기존의 생산/시험 기술과 설비를 이용할 수 있어 매우 경제적이며 Power Cell 단위 결합 구조이므로 신뢰성 측면이나 보수/유지 측면에서도 유리하다는 결론을 얻었다.

섬광 X선과 잔류관통깊이 분석을 통한 성형작약탄 제트에 대한 펄스전류 효과 (The Effect of High Current Pulse against Shaped Charge Jet by Flash X-Ray and Residual Penetration Depth)

  • In this paper, the effect of high voltage current pulse against shaped charge jet was analyzed through the visualization of jet behavior using flash X-ray and comparison of depth of penetration(DOP) into RHA(Rolled Homogeneous Armor) witness plates. The behavior of jet particles has been acquired using a flash X-ray equipment when current pulse was applied into the metal jet of a shaped charge(SC) warhead. Typical results such as jet breakup and radial jet dispersion, which are due to electromagnetic pressure by current pulse, have been obtained. Dozens of penetration experiments using a shaped charge with 55 mm diameter were performed according to various combinations of major parametric variables such as electrode spacing, standoff distance from SC warhead to electrode, and charge voltage. Subsequently, interrelations between major parametric variables and DOPs into RHA were analyzed.

  • 고도 정보화 사회의 발달과 함께 정보통신 설비는 빠른 전송속도를 필요로 하며, 지능형 산업설비와 행정, 금융, 교통시스템과 같은 사회시스템은 집적회로와 초소형 반도체로 구성되므로 원격감시, 조작에 의해 점차적으로 자동화 되어가고 있다. 이와 같은 현대의 초소형 전자회로는 뇌 서지에 의해 흔히 손상을 입을 수 있으며, 뇌 과전압으로부터 전자회로의 보호에 관심이 집중되고 있다. 본 논문은 일반주택에서 뇌 서지로부터 초소형 컴퓨터와 같은 전자기기의 효과적인 보호방법을 제안하기 위하여 전원계통의 접지방식에 따른 서지보호기의 보호효과를 실험적으로 분석하였다. 또한 서지보호기의 효과적인 설치방법을 조사하고 제안하였다. 기존의 설비에 추가적으로 서지보호기를 설치하는 것은 서지보호기까지의 긴 접속선으로 인한 인덕턴스 때문에 높은 잔류전압이 나타난다. 서지보호기의 설치에 있어 두 접속선을 꼬는 방법이 급격하게 상승하는 과도과전압에 매우 효과적이다.

  • 본 논문에서는 48개 채널의 GM Tube 센서 테스터 장치를 설계한다. 제안하는 장치는 48 채널의 GM Tube 센서들을 동시에 테스트하여 불량의 여부 및 센서 특성을 분석한다. 시간의 변화에 따라 달라지는 센서의 특성에 적합한 300 ~ 1000V의 가변 고전압을 발생할 수 있는 회로로 센서의 특성을 분석한다. 따라서 다양한 종류의 GM Tube 센서의 특성 분석에 용이하게 사용된다. 제안하는 장치를 통해 대량의 GM Tube를 동시에 테스트 할 수 있는 환경이 구축되어 센서의 불량 여부 및 센서의 특성을 미리 파악하여 생산 및 재작업 등에 소요되는 비용을 대폭 줄일 수 있다. 개발된 48 채널 GM Tube 센서 테스터 장치의 측정 불확도에 대하여 공인 시험기관의 장비를 사용하여 실험한 결과 우수한 성능을 나타내었다.

  • High Voltage High Current Pulsed Electric Fields (HVHC-PEF) is a promising technology for the non-thermal pasteurization of foods and a sound complement or replacement to traditional thermal pasteurization, which inactivates bacteria and other microorganisms harmful to humans, but also degrades color, flavor, texture and nutrients. Foods can be pasteurized with pulsed electric fields at ambient or refrigerated temperatures for a short treatment time of seconds or less and the fresh-like quality of food is preserved. Although successful in laboratory tests, applying HVHC-PEF to food pasteurization on a large scale presents many unresolved engineering problems. In this paper the design considerations for 25kV 1kA class HVHC-PEF pasteurization equipment are analyzed and experimental results are discussed.

Paint Spray Mass Spectrometry for the Detection of Additives from Polymers on Conducting Surfaces

  • Paint Spray is developed as a direct sampling ionisation method for mass spectrometric analysis of additives in polymer-based surface coatings. The technique simply involves applying an external high voltage (5 kV) to the wetted sample placed in front of the mass spectrometer inlet and represents a much simpler ionisation technique compared to those currently available. The capabilities of Paint Spray are demonstrated herein with the detection of four commercially available hindered amine light stabilisers; TINUVIN${(R)}$770, TINUVIN${(R)}$292, TINUVIN${(R)}$123 and TINUVIN${(R)}$152 directly from thermoset polyester-based coil coatings. Paint Spray requires no sample preparation or pre-treatment and combined with its simplicity requiring no specialised equipment makes it ideal for use by non-specialists. The application of Paint Spray for industrial use has significant potential as sample collection from a coil coating production line and Paint Spray ionisation could enable fast quality control screening at high sensitivity.
