THE NEW HORIZON RUN COSMOLOGICAL N-BODY SIMULATIONS

  • We present two large cosmological N-body simulations, called Horizon Run 2 (HR2) and Horizon Run 3 (HR3), made using $6000^3$ = 216 billions and $7210^3$ = 374 billion particles, spanning a volume of $(7.200\;h^{-1}Gpc)^3$ and $(10.815\;h^{-1}Gpc)^3$, respectively. These simulations improve on our previous Horizon Run 1 (HR1) up to a factor of 4.4 in volume, and range from 2600 to over 8800 times the volume of the Millennium Run. In addition, they achieve a considerably finer mass resolution, down to $1.25{\times}10^{11}h^{-1}M_{\odot}$, allowing to resolve galaxy-size halos with mean particle separations of $1.2h^{-1}$Mpc and $1.5h^{-1}$Mpc, respectively. We have measured the power spectrum, correlation function, mass function and basic halo properties with percent level accuracy, and verified that they correctly reproduce the CDM theoretical expectations, in excellent agreement with linear perturbation theory. Our unprecedentedly large-volume N-body simulations can be used for a variety of studies in cosmology and astrophysics, ranging from large-scale structure topology, baryon acoustic oscillations, dark energy and the characterization of the expansion history of the Universe, till galaxy formation science - in connection with the new SDSS-III. To this end, we made a total of 35 all-sky mock surveys along the past light cone out to z = 0.7 (8 from the HR2 and 27 from the HR3), to simulate the BOSS geometry. 난임부부의 한방의료기관 이용 실태 및 한방난임치료 지원사업 수요에 관한 설문조사연구 (A Survey Study on Use Condition of Korean Medical Institution and Demand of Korean Medical Treatment Project of Infertility in Infertile Couple)

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study is to investigate use condition of Korean medical institution and demand of Korean Medical Treatment Project of Infertility in infertile couple. Methods: Questionnaires were distributed to all members of the incorporated association AGAYA(http://www.agaya.org/) via e-mail and to infertile women who visited to Korean medicine OB & GY outpatient clinic of university Korean medicine hospitals of the country and an infertility specialized Korean medicine hospital. One hundred twenty four of completed questionnaires were analyzed. Results: 1. Korean medical institution utilization rate of infertile couple was 89.6% and was similar with western medical institution utilization rate of 87.1%. 2. 96.8% of infertile couple answered that Korean Medical Treatment Project of Infertility is necessary. And 90.3% of infertile couple answered that herbal medicines should be supported first of all. 3. 90.3% of infertile couple answered that they will participate if Korean Medical Treatment Project of Infertility go ahead. Conclusions: It was confirmed that most of the infertile couple have been received Korean medical treatment for infertility, and think that Korean Medical Treatment Project of Infertility is necessary.

감각통합에 기반을 둔 작업치료효과에 관한 체계적 고찰 (Systematic Review of the Research Evidence Examining the Effectiveness of Occupational Therapy Using a Sensory Integration Approach)

  • 목적 : 감각통합에 기반을 둔 작업치료의 효과를 연구한 연구들의 체계적인 고찰을 통하여, 임상에서 치료계획 시 도움이 될 수 있는 정보를 제공하고, 앞으로 감각통합에 기반을 둔 작업치료의 연구 방향을 제시하고자 한다. 연구방법 : MEDLINE/PubMed와 AOTAPress에서 제공되는 연구논문들 중에서 1993년부터 2011년까지 발표된 아동과 청소년을 대상으로 감각통합에 기반을 둔 작업치료 효과를 살펴 본 10개의 논문을 분석하였다. 결과 : 연구대상은 감각조절장애와 자폐스펙트럼의 진단군이었으며, 중재 효과를 증명하기 위에 선택한 다른 중재유형은 여전히 과거의 체계적 고찰연구와 유사하였다. 중재기간은 대체로 감각통합에 기반을 둔 작업치료중재를 10주 이상, 20회기 이상, 적어도 주당 2~3회 정도 실시하였다. 감각통합에 기반을 둔 작업치료중재가 대체로 효과적인 편으로 특히 운동수행영역과 행동개선 영역, 학습과 관련한 교육영역이 효과적인 것으로 나타났고, 최근에는 감각처리 영역이나 작업수행영역에 감각통합중재의 효과가 있음을 GAS를 사용하여 규명하고자 하는 연구노력이 있었다. 결론 : 본 연구를 통하여 임상가들에게 감각통합에 기반을 둔 작업치료중재 효과를 증명할 수 있는 연구디자인의 최소 틀을 알고 연구계획을 실시할 수 있는 근거를 갖게 될 것이다.

국가바람지도 데이터베이스화 및 가시화를 위한 IDL 활용 (Application of IDL for Establishing the Database and Visualization System of National Wind Map)

  • 한반도 국가바람지도(김현구, 2009)는 한국에너지기술연구원에서 지식경제부의 부처임무사업으로 구축되었으며 현재 웹서비스(http://www.kier-wind.org)를 통하여 정보를 제공하고 있다. 국가바람지도는 수치기상예측(NWP; Numerical Weather Prediction) 모델을 이용하여 영토, 영해에 대해 $1km{\times}1km$의 고해상도로 작성한 뒤(이순환 등, 2009) 풍력자원 정보로 재가공되었다. 한반도 국가바람지도는 5년의 장기간에 대한 시계열 수치기상예측에 의하여 구축되었기 때문에 데이터베이스(DB; database)의 효율적 관리가 필연적으로 요구된다. MM5 또는 WRF 모델의 고유 출력포맷의 자료구조는 풍력자원분석에 필요한 기상요소 외에도 대기과학자에게 필요한 수많은 기상인자를 종합적으로 포함하고 있다. 따라서 2차원 층(layer) 또는 3차원 공간분포 분석 및 계산격자인 셀(cell)에서의 1차원 시계열 분석 등 다양한 자료축출에는 비효율적인 자료구조가 된다. 이러한 자료구조의 불편을 해소하기 위해서는 기상요소별로 독립적이고 빈번한 시계열 자료 추출에 효율성을 가지며 어떤 프로그래밍 언어를 사용하든지 직관적으로 쉽게 사용할 수 있는 바람지도 데이터베이스의 재구성이 요구된다. 이에 대용량 수치자료의 처리 측면에서 장점을 가지는 과학기술 프로그래밍 언어인 IDL을 기반으로 국가바람지도의 자료구조를 효율화하여 데이터베이스화 하였으며 IDL에 내재된 그래픽 기능을 활용하여 가시화를 구현함으로써 연구개발자의 입장에서 국가바람지도의 활용성 및 효율성을 향상시키고자 하였다.

한국 간호사 스트레스 중재 프로그램 동향 (The Trend of Research on Korean Nurses Stress Program Intervention in Korea)

  • Purpose. The purpose of this study was to investigate the trends of the stress intervention program for domestic nurses. Methods. This study was conducted by analyzing 28 papers, which were selected from three hundred seventeen dissertation theses on Domestic Dissertations and Major Associated Journals on Nursing Stress Intervention by searching the Academic Research Information Service(http://riss4u.net) from 1995 to February 2017. Results. 1. The theses were analyzed by academic field, year, research subject, research program type, research topic, analysis of intervention study method and result variables. 2. The study showed that 15(82.14%) theses are masters', 8(28.57) theses are doctors' and 5(17) are journals. By nurses position, 26(92.86%) theses were about general nurses. By hospital, 21(75.00%) theses were about nurses working at the general hopitals whose wards were more than 300. 3. For research type, 7 theses were about aromatherapy(25.00). For the research subjects, 16 theses were about psychological variables. The study showed that the subjects were $22.62{\pm}7.62$ persons and mean intervention period was $3.8{\pm}2.61$ weeks. For experimental methods, 19 cases (67.86%) were non-equalty control group, which are most. Conclusions. In conclusion, research on nurses stress mediation has been steadily increasing. However, the studies on nurses stress intervention need to be diversified and activated because the intervention methods and types are fragmentary and the research fileds are concentrated on theses.

Internal transcribed spacer (ITS) region의 염기서열 분석에 의한 보길도산 황칠나무의 분자 계통학적 연구 (Phylogenetic Analysis of Dendropanax morbifera Using Nuclear Ribosomal DNA Internal Transcribed Spacer (ITS) Region Sequences)

  • 보길도에서 자라고 있는 황칠나무(Dendropanax morbifera)를 구입하여, 캘러스로 유도한 후, ribosomal DNA(nrDNA)의 internal transcribed spacer (ITS) region의 염기서열을 결정하였다 보길도의 황칠나무(Dendropanax morbifera)의 ITS region의 염기서열을 분석한 결과, 총 689염기를 결정하였다. 결정된 689염기 중에서 ITS1은 222 개염기, 5.8S rDNA는 160염기, ITS2는 233염기인 것으로 판명되었다. GenBank의 BLAST 프로그램(http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.BLAST)을 사용하여 GenBank/EMBL/DDBJ에 등록되어 있는 Dendropanax 속 33의 염기서열을 수집한 후 multiple alignment를 수행한 결과, 유사도는 99.7%(D. chevalieri)에서 92.6%(Dendropanax arboreus)로 나타났으며, 일본황칠나무(D. trifidus)와는 유사도가 99.4%로 판명되었다.

한반도 특산식물 꼬리말발도리의 분포와 생육환경특성 (Geographical distribution range and growth environmental characteristics of Deutzia paniculata Nakai, a Korean Endemic Plant)

  • The current status of geographical distribution range of Deutzia paniculata, one of the korean endemic plants, was investigated based on the species distribution information. The information of the geographical range used for analysis includes all the published references to the distribution of D. paniculata, herbarium specimens in Korea National Arboretum (KH) including its online database: http://www.nature.go.kr, and field research. Although, D. paniculata was firstly recorded in Wonsan, Hamgyeongnam-do, North Korea, this research revelaved that D. paniculata is mainly distributed in Gyeongsangbuk-do and Gyeongsangnam-do, southern regions of the Korean Peninsula. According to the distribution map, this species was estimated on distribution edge of in Anyang region of Gyeonggi-do, Mt. Naejang of Jeollabuk-do and Mt. Taebaek of Gwangwon-do on the distribution edge. However, it was made use of intensive field survey to identify the natural population of the species in these regions. D. paniculata habitat was mainly distributed between 290 meters and 491 meters in altitude, but it was also found ranged from 936 to 959 meters in Gun-wi, Gyeongsangbuk-do, South Korea. The distribution slope was 5° to 35° and the north, N, NE and NW in the aspect. The flora of vascular plants in D. paniculata habitats was listed in 137 taxa: 54 families, 103 genera, 120 species, 2 subspecies, 12 varieties and 3 forms while Korean endemic plants were found in three taxa, Stewartia koreana, Weigela subsessilis and D. Paniculata. Based on a collection of non-biological environment and biological environment data, D. paniculata population were discussed to make strategy and basic research methods for sustainable preservation.

국내 뷰티 관련 고등교육 프로그램의 현황 및 교과과정 조사 연구 (Analysis of the Current State and the Curriculum of Beauty Related Higher Education Programs in Korea)

  • This research investigates the current state of beauty related curriculums and departments of undergraduate and graduate programs in Korea. The results also compared beauty related programs at selected overseas universities. A comprehensive list of 4-year universities with beauty related undergraduate and/or graduate programs were surveyed using the KCUE University Entrance Information (http://www.adiga.kr) site provided by the Korean Council for University Education. Information on the name of the department, curriculum, and year of foundation were obtained from the websites of individual universities. There were 58 universities which have beauty related higher education programs; 43 undergraduate programs, 12 graduate programs, and 40 special graduate programs. The number of special graduate departments were 3.7 times larger than the graduate departments; in addition, 43.9% of the special graduate departments were located in the Seoul/Gyeonggi/Incheon area. The curriculums of beauty related 4-year undergraduate departments were focused on the 'Beauty care service' area (50.2%), whereas the curriculums of graduate departments were focused on the 'Cosmetic science' area (40.8%). In case of the special graduate programs, there was little difference between the 'Beauty care service' area (24.4%) and the 'Cosmetic science' area (27.7%). Beauty related programs of overseas universities were mostly focused on cosmetic science with some universities specialized in the marketing aspect.

  • Single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) are the most abundant form of human genetic variation and are a resource for mapping complex genetic traits. A genome is covered by millions of these markers, and researchers are able to compare which SNPs predominate in people who have a certain disease. The International HapMap Project, launched in October, 2002, motivated us to start the Korean HapMap Project in order to support Korean HapMap infrastructure development and to accelerate the finding of genes that affect health, disease, and individual responses to medications and environmental factors. A Korean SNP and haplotype database system was developed through the Korean HapMap Project to provide Korean researchers with useful data-mining information about disease-associated biomarkers for studies on complex diseases, such as diabetes, cancer, and stroke. Also, we have developed a series of software programs for association studies as well as the comparison and analysis of Korean HapMap data with other populations, such as European, Chinese, Japanese, and African populations. The developed software includes HapMapSNPAnalyzer, SNPflank, HWE Test, FESD, D2GSNP, SNP@Domain, KMSD, KFOD, KFRG, and SNP@WEB. We developed a disease-related SNP retrieval system, in which OMIM, GeneCards, and MeSH information were integrated and analyzed for medical research scientists. The kHapMap Browser system that we developed and integrated provides haplotype retrieval and comparative study tools of human ethnicities for comprehensive disease association studies (http://www.khapmap.org). It is expected that researchers may be able to retrieve useful information from the kHapMap Browser to find useful biomarkers and genes in complex disease association studies and use these biomarkers and genes to study and develop new drugs for personalized medicine.

수술실의 간호오류 및 과오 예방을 위한 E-learning 실무교육 프로그램의 개발 및 평가 (Development of an E-learning Education Program for Preventing Nursing Errors and Adverse Events of Operating Room Nurses)

  • Purpose: This study was to develop, implement, and evaluate an e-learning education program for improving practical knowledge and preventing nursing errors and adverse events of nurses working in the operating room (OR). Method: The e-learning program was developed and evaluated according to the following processes: 1) preparation phase 2) implementation phase 3) evaluation phase. In evaluation phase, the effectiveness was analyzed based on the Kirkpatrick's model. Results: The e-learning program consisted of OR basic nursing skills and techniques and nursing activities' manual based on the categories of nursing errors: surgical operation preparation, nursing skills and techniques, environment management, patient safety and comfort, and patient monitoring. The program was provided through on-line, http://cafe.daum.net/pnuhorn, for 4 weeks. The mean score(percent) of participants' satisfaction was $21.24{\pm}1.71$(68.2%). Their total knowledge level was significantly improved(Z=-3.00, p=.003) and specifically in the category of environment management(Z=-3.77, p<.001) and patient monitoring(Z=-2.46, p=.014). The occurrence of nursing errors or adverse events was a little decreased, but not statistically significant(Z=-3.10, p=.756). Conclusion: E-learning for nurses is one way of effective and efficient teaching-learning strategies. For better e-learning, it is important to develop the vital content of the education and objective measures for detecting nursing errors and adverse events.
