Purpose: This purpose of this study was to identify both good teaching and desirable teaching behaviors perceived by nursing students. Methods: A cross-sectional descriptive design was used. A convenience sample of 324 nursing students was selected and they completed self-reported questionnaires from November 1 to December 30, 2015. Results: Among 4 perspectives of good teaching (traditional, systemic, interaction, and constructionism), the traditional perspective was perceived as the highest form of good teaching, while the systemic perspective was perceived as the lowest. Meanwhile, disclosure and clarity were perceived as the highest desirable teaching behaviors. Regardless of students' perspective of good teaching, all 4 perspectives of good teaching were positively related with clarity, enthusiasm, interaction, organization, and disclosure as desirable teaching behaviors independently. Conclusions: Nursing students perceived that the highest perspective of good teaching was the traditional perspective. Meanwhile, they perceived that clarity, enthusiasm, interaction, organization, and disclosure were desirable teaching behaviors regardless of their perspective of good teaching. Further study will be needed to perceive nursing faculty's awareness of good teaching and desirable teaching behaviors to identify the difference of awareness between nursing students and faculty.

각 대학의 교수학습지원센터를 중심으로 최근 수강했던 과목들 중에서 다시 듣고 싶은 좋은 수업이나 가장 기억에 남는 강의를 에세이 형태로 공모전을 매년 실시하는 대학이 늘고 있다. 이는 학생들의 학문역량 개발에 기여하는 좋은 강의를 발굴하여 수업노하우를 확산하고 '좋은 수업'이란 어떤 것인지 되돌아보는 계기를 마련하고 있다. 본 연구는 전문대학 학생들이 인식하는 좋은 수업의 특성에 대해 분석하였다. 75편의 에세이에 대한 내용 분석을 통하여 학생들이 인식하는 좋은 수업의 특성을 키워드 추출 방법으로 조사 분석하였다. 연구결과, 전문대학 학생들이 인식하는 좋은 수업 특성은 '교수자의 열정이 느껴지는 수업', '흥미로운 수업', '강의내용을 쉽게 이해할 수 있는 수업', '학생들을 배려하는 수업', '교수자와 학습자간의 상호작용이 활발한 수업', '교수자의 경험을 공유할 수 있는 수업'으로 나타났다.

본 연구의 목적은 중등 과학 교사들의 좋은 과학 수업에 대한 인식을 탐색하는 것이다. 이를 위하여 중등 과학교사 136명을 대상으로 설문을 실시하였다. 과학 교사들은 교육 내용, 교육 방법, 교육 환경 및 분위기, 평가 등의 범주로 구성된 32개의 수업에 대하여 리커트 5점 척도로 응답하였다. 추가적으로 교사들이 경험한 가장 좋은 수업에 대해서 기술하도록 요청하였다. 주요 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 중등 과학 교사들이 생각하는 가장 좋은 과학 수업은 교육 내용 영역에서 학생 수준에 맞게 교육 내용을 재구성한 수업, 교육 방법 영역에서 상호작용이 활발한 수업, 교육 환경 및 분위기 영역에서 신뢰롭고 존중해 주는 분위기의 수업, 평가 영역에서 수업과 연계된 평가를 통해 학생들이 배울 수 있는 기회가 제공된 수업을 선택하였다. 둘째, 중등 과학 교사들은 학생들의 권한이 많은 자기주도적 수업, 수준별 수업, 다양한 매체를 활용한 수업 등은 좋은 과학수업의 특징으로 인식하지 않고 있었다. 셋째, 교사들이 인식한 좋은 수업과 경험한 좋은 수업 사이에 차이가 있었다. 이는 교사들이 좋은 과학 수업에 대해서 명확하게 인지하지 못하고 있음을 알 수 있다. 연구의 결과를 바탕으로 좋은 과학수업 사례의 발굴과 상호작용이 강조된 수업의 지원 등에 대한 제언을 제시하였다.

As the college environment changes, the roles of professors and students should also be changed. And the way that we teach undergraduate students should also be changed. The purpose of this research is to analysis characteristics of good teaching methods in college as perceived by students and professors. We did content analysis to elicit the characteristics of good instruction from qualitative comments of 196 course evaluations, 195 excellent essays selected from 8 college essay competitions, and 72 teaching knowhow essays of professors. To see the difference of division in good instruction characteristics, we did frequency analysis by SPSS statistics program. According to the content analysis, the most essential characteristics of good instruction as perceived by the students and professors is teaching strategies. There were also differences in the fact of recognition transition by division and the students-professors.

The aim of this study is to analyze critically the meaning of 'good instruction'. In this article, the researchers emphasized the activities of teaching and learning as two essential elements of good instruction. The antecedent studies on good instruction have limitations in that they regarded good instruction as an instrument rather than valuable activity itself. This study consisted of three parts. Firstly, the researchers tried to clarify the meaning of good instruction underlying antecedent studies on instruction. Secondly, the researchers tried to analyze characteristics of good insturction suggested by antecedent studies. Thirdly, the researchers attempted to define a new meaning of good instruction. A new meaning of good instruction should be defined in accordance with characteristics of three commonplaces composing instruction such as teaching activity, learning activity and good interactions between teacher and learner. Good instruction can be defined as followings. Good instruction means an instructional activity which can change the student's meanings of experience as a result of interactions among teacher, learner, and educational materials.

본 연구는 수학과 좋은 수업 프로그램을 수업에 적용하여 학생들의 꿈과 끼를 키워 행복교육을 실현하여 행복한 학교생활이 되도록 하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위하여 첫째, 수학과 좋은 수업의 프로그램이 학업성취도에 어떤 영향을 끼치는지 조사한다. 둘째, 수학과 좋은 수업 프로그램이 수학행복지수에 어떠한 영향을 미치는 지를 밝힌다. 셋째, 이를 통하여 학생들의 꿈과 끼를 키워 행복교육을 실현하여 행복한 학교생활이 되도록 하는데 목적이 있다. 본 연구목적의 실현을 위한 구체적인 연구문제는 첫째, 수학과 좋은 수업 프로그램을 어떻게 적용할 것인가? 둘째, 수학과 좋은 수업 프로그램이 학생들의 학업성취도와 수학행복지수에 어떤 영향을 미치는가? 이다. 수학과 좋은 수업 프로그램을 적용한 결과 학업성취도와 수학행복지수를 향상시킬 수 있었다.

Mathematics teachers' knowledge and abilities for effective mathematics teaching has been discussed by many mathematics educators and researchers. This study surveyed the perspectives on the knowledge and abilities for good mathematics teaching of inservice and preservice teachers based on their teaching experiences. The perspectives of the two teacher groups about teachers' knowledge and abilities for teaching mathematics are very different. The results from this study are expected to give information on developing teacher education curriculum and programs.

This study investigated university students' perspectives on good class and instructional practices through social network analysis. The subjects were 321 students in the third and fourth academic years in a Korean university. The subjects completed four open-ended questions, asking about experience of good class, good instructors' teaching practice, and their feelings and attitudes when participating in good class. As social network analysis, KrKwic (Korea Key Words in Context) was used to compute word frequencies and analyze semantic network structures and Ucinet Netdraw to assess centrality in the social network, consisting of degree centrality, closeness centrality, and between centrality. The results are as follows. First, students showed 5 keywords to depict what good class is, including 'understanding', 'example', 'video', 'interest', and 'communication'. Second, the characteristics of teaching methods by professors who practice good class indicate 'assignments', 'questions', 'understanding', 'example', and 'feedback'. Third, the top 5 keywords of students' attitudes as participating in good class are 'active', 'participation', 'focus', 'listening', and 'asking'. Last, keywords depicting desirable class that students most wanted to take next time are 'assignments', 'rewards', 'understanding', 'difficulty', and 'interest'. The findings from this study include the meanings of the semantic network structures of words in the text making up messages. Also this study can provide empirical evidence for educators and educational practitioners in higher education to create effective learning environments.

How to teach intelligible, communicative pronunciation is a continuous question in the English education. Without good input, we can not expect good output. However, in EFL situation, it is very difficult to input the good English pronunciation, therefore, we have to find out the efficient and effective material for teaching pronunciation. One of the materials is song, because songs contain the linguistic and cultural traits of the language. The purpose of this paper is to clarify the reason why songs are good for teaching pronunciation. Koreans, who are syllable timed language users, have difficulties in English pronunciation of stress, rhythm, consonants cluster, linking or blending in connected speech. The 134 songs from wee sing are analyzed for how these traits show in songs. The result shows that we can acquire the traits easily and naturally through songs. And a lesson plan is offered as an example for teaching songs.
