  • We prove using the Szeg$\H{o}$ kernel and the Garabedian kernel that a Toeplitz operator on the boundary of $C^{\infty}$ smoothly bounded domain associated to a smooth symbol vanishes only when the symbol vanishes identically. This gives a generalization of previous results on the unit disk to more general domains in the plane.

  • In this paper, we introduce a second order linear differential operator T□: C (M) → C (M) as a natural generalization of Cheng-Yau operator, [8], where T is a (1, 1)-tensor on Riemannian manifold (M, h), and then we show on compact Riemannian manifolds, divT = divTt, and if divT = 0, and f be a smooth function on M, the condition T□ f = 0 implies that f is constant. Hereafter, we introduce T-energy functionals and by deriving variations of these functionals, we define T-harmonic maps between Riemannian manifolds, which is a generalization of Lk-harmonic maps introduced in [3]. Also we have studied fT-harmonic maps for conformal immersions and as application of it, we consider fLk-harmonic hypersurfaces in space forms, and after that we classify complete fL1-harmonic surfaces, some fLk-harmonic isoparametric hypersurfaces, fLk-harmonic weakly convex hypersurfaces, and we show that there exists no compact fLk-harmonic hypersurface either in the Euclidean space or in the hyperbolic space or in the Euclidean hemisphere. As well, some properties and examples of these definitions are given.

  • In this paper, we are concerned with abstract random linear operators on probabilistic unitary spaces which are a generalization of generalized random linear operators on a Hilbert space defined in [25]. The representation theorem for abstract random bounded linear operators and some results on the adjoint of abstract random linear operators are given.

  • Let T be a bounded linear operator on a complex Hilbert space H. For a positive integer k, an operator T is said to be a k-quasi-2-isometric operator if T∗k(T∗2T2 − 2TT + I)Tk = 0, which is a generalization of 2-isometric operator. In this paper, we consider basic structural properties of k-quasi-2-isometric operators. Moreover, we give some examples of k-quasi-2-isometric operators. Finally, we prove that generalized Weyl’s theorem holds for polynomially k-quasi-2-isometric operators.

  • In this paper we deal with a sequence of positive linear operators ${{R_n}}^{[$\beta$]}$ approximating functions on the unbounded interval [0, $\infty$] which were firstly used by K. balazs and J. Szabados. We give pointwise estimates in the framework of polynomial weighted function spaces. Also we establish a Voronovskaja type theorem in the same weighted spaces for ${{K_n}}^{[$\beta$]}$ operators, representing the integral generalization in Kantorovich sense of the ${{R_n}}^{[$\beta$]}$.

  • In this paper, we compute the Hankel matrix representation of the Hankel operator on the Hardy space of a general bounded domain with respect to special orthonormal bases for the Hardy space and its orthogonal complement. Moreover we obtain the compact form of the Hankel matrix for the unit disc case with respect to these bases. One can see that the Hankel matrix generated by this computation turns out to be a generalization of the case of the unit disc from the single simply connected domain to multiply connected domains with much diversities of bases.

  • Let H be a Schrodinger operator in $L^2$(R) H =(equation omitted) + V(x), with supp V ⊂ [-R, R]. A number $z_{0}$ / in the lower half-plane is called a resonance for H if for all $\phi$ with compact support 〈$\phi$, $(H - z)^{-l}$ $\phi$〉 has an analytic continuation from the upper half-plane to a part of the lower half-plane with a pole at z = $z_{0}$ . Thus a resonance is a sort of generalization of an eigenvalue. For Im k > 0, ($H - k^2$)$^{-1}$ is an integral operator with kernel, given by Green's function(omitted)

  • We define an operator version of the relative Rényi entropy as the generalization of relative von Neumann entropy, and provide its fundamental properties and the bounds for its trace value. Moreover, we see an effect of the relative Rényi entropy under tensor product, and show the sub-additivity for density matrices.

  • The generalization of geospatial data is an important way in deriving a new database from an original one. The generalization of a geospatial object changes not only its geometric and aspatial attributes but also results in propagation to other objects along their relationship. We call it generalization propagation of geospatial databases. Without proper handling of the propagation, it brings about an inconsistent database or loss of semantics. Nevertheless, previous studies in the generalization have focused on the derivation of an object by isolating it from others. And they have proposed a set of generalization operators, which were intended to change the geometric and aspatial attributes of an object. In this paper we extend the definition of generalization operators to cover the propagation from an object to others. In order to capture the propagation, we discover a set of rules or constraints that must be taken into account during generalization procedure. Each generalization operator with constraints is expressed in relational algebra and it can be converted to SQL statements with ease. A prototype system was developed to verify the correctness of extended operators.
