다화학종 GH 방정식의 정확성 향상을 위한 벽면 경계조건 연구 및 GH 방정식의 엔트로피 특성 고찰 (The Slip-Wall Boundary Conditions Effects and the Entropy Characteristics of the Multi-Species GH Solver)

  • 본 연구에서는 다화학종 희박유동의 해석을 위해, GH(Generalized Hydrodynamic) 방정식을 기반으로 한 축대칭 유동 해석이 가능한 다화학종 GH 수치해석 기법을 전산유체역학 수치해석자로서 개발하였다. 최초로 구현된 다화학종 GH 수치기법은 축대칭 형상의 물체 주위의 극초음속 희박유동을 대상으로 하여, DSMC(Direct Simulation Monte Carlo) 및 N-S(Navier-Stokes) 방정식의 결과와의 비교를 통해 정확도를 검증하고자 하였다. GH 해석자의 정확도 향상을 위해 고체 벽면에서의 여러 가지 slip-wall 경계조건을 적용하고 각각의 결과를 비교하였다. 또한, 높은 Knudsen 수의 1차원 수직 충격파 구조 문제를 통해 GH 방정식의 엔트로피 특성 및 정확성을 고찰하였다.

계절 맨-켄달 기법을 이용한 금호강 본류 BOD의 장기 경향 분석 및 탐색적 자료 분석 (Long-Term Trend Analysis and Exploratory Data Analysis of Geumho River based on Seasonal Mann-Kendall Test)

  • The government has conducted a plan of total maximum daily loads(TMDL), which divides with unit watershed, for management of stable water quality target by setting the permitted total amount of the pollutant. In this study, BOD concentration trends over the last 10 years from 2005 to 2014 were analyzed in the Geumho river. Improvement effect of water quality throughout the implementation period of TMDL was evaluated using the seasonal Mann-Kendall test and a LOWESS(locally weighted scatter plot smoother) smooth. As a study result of the seasonal Mann-Kendall test and the LOWESS smooth, BOD concentration in the Geumho river appeared to have been reduced or held at a constant. As a result of quantitatively analysis for BOD concentration with exploratory data analysis(EDA), the mean and the median of BOD concentration appeared in the order of GH8 > GH7 > GH6 > GH5 > GH4 > GH3 > GH2 > GH1. The monthly average concentration of BOD appeared in the order of Apr > Mar > Feb >May > Jun > Jul > Jan > Aug > Sep > Dec > Nov > Oct. As a result of the outlier, its value was the most frequent in February, which is estimated 1.5 times more than July, and was smallest frequent in July. The outlier in terms of water quality management is necessary in order to establish a management plan for the contaminants in watershed.

  • met-hGH로부터 고정화 ApM에 의해 전환된 천 연형 hGH를 등전위점, 소수성, 전하량의 차이에 따라 3회의 일련의 크로마토그래피를 수행하여 정제하고, 정제된 hGH의 특성을 조사하였다. 정제한 hGH의 비활성은 효소면역측정법으로 분석하였을 때 2 2.75IUjmg이었고, hGH 회수율은 14.1%이었다. 정제한 재조합 hGH는 아미노산 조성, 아미노 말단의 15개의 아미노산 서열 분석, 카르복시 말단의 아미노산 분석, 트럽신 가수분해 랩타이드들의 HPLC 분석등을 통해 아미노말단 에치오닌이 제거된 천연 형 hGH임을 알 수 있었고, SDS-PAGE, native­P PAGE, IEF, RP-HPLC, HSGF 등의 분석 결과 정제한 hGH는 상용품보다 순도가 높다는 것을 알 수 있었으며, 뇌하수체 제거 쥐의 체중 증가와 경골성 장폭의 증가를 통한 활성 측정 결과 정제한 hGH는 상용 hGH와 같은 정도의 활성을 냐타내었으며 우혈청 알부민을 주사한 대조군에 비해 뚜렷한 성장 효 과를 나타냈다. 따라서 본 연구에셔 정제한 hGH는 천연형이며, 높은 순도와 우수한 생리활성을 나타내는 것을 알 수 있었다.

  • For the Gas hydrate Research and Development in Korea, the prospect area I & II was surveyed and drilled during the first phase. At the result, we succeeded to discovering gas hydrate real sample at BSR reflection and vent structure. This expedition processing contributes to developing the offshore seismic survey technologies and data processing of Korea. But Korean gas hydrate test production research, in spite of activating test production at other countries, is such a limitation about technician, GH production technologies and E&P processing. First of all, there is no exist in Korea to application site for the their production research results. In this paper, we have studied the gas hydrate reservoir selection technics of the DOE & BPXA for the ANS test production. And this result will helpful to preparation of gas hydrate test production in Korea.

성장홀몬과 내분비계 질환 (Growth Hormone and Endocrinopathies)

  • This is an analysis of 39 patients studied at the Yonsei Medical Center from January, 1976 to March 1979. Of these35 patient were suspected of having hypothalamic insufficiency and subjected to the L-Dopa stimulation test to observe growth hormone sceretory function while four acromegaly patient received the glucose loading test and L-Dopa stimulation test. The results are as follows: 1. The basal level of GH in the various disease was as follows: a. The basal level was lower than the control level but was not statistically significant b. In diabetes the mean value tended to be higher than the control level but was not significant statistically c. In all four acromegaly patients the GH level was significantly higher than the control level 2. Of 13 patients with diabetes, nine had diabetic retinopathy, and of those nine, sir showed increased L-Dopa response. However, of the four non retinopathic DM patients, only one showed increased response to L-Dopa. 3. Two patients out of ten with Sheehan's syndrome responded to L-Dopa stimulation. 4. One Patient of eight with pituitary chromophobe adenoma responded to L-Dopa stimulation. 5. Four acromegaly patients revealed 3 acidophilic adenoma and one chromophobe adenoma histologically. Of patients receiving the L-Dopa stimulation test. Two showed a paradoxical response. Two patients who received the glucose loading test showed supressed response. 6. Of two craniopharyngioma patients, one showed increased GH response after L-Dopa stimulation. Correlation between different methodologies used to evaluate the marginal adaptation of proximal dentin gingival margins elevated using a glass hybrid

  • Objectives: This study aimed to evaluate the effect of aging on the marginal quality of glass hybrid (GH) material used to elevate dentin gingival margins, and to analyze the consistency of the results obtained by 3 in vitro methods. Materials and Methods: Ten teeth received compound class II cavities with subgingival margins. The dentin gingival margins were elevated with GH, followed by resin composite. The GH/gingival dentin interfaces were examined through digital microscopy, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) using resin replicas, and according to the World Dental Federation (FDI) criteria. After initial evaluations, all teeth were subjected to 10,000 thermal cycles, followed by repeating the same marginal evaluations and energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS) analysis for the interfacial zone of 2 specimens. Marginal quality was expressed as the percentage of continuous margin at ×200 for microscopic techniques and as the frequency of each score for FDI ranking. Data were analyzed using the paired sample t-test, Wilcoxon signed-rank test, and Pearson and Spearmen correlation coefficients. Results: None of the testing techniques proved the significance of the aging factor. Moderate and strong significant correlations were found between the testing techniques. The EDS results suggested the presence of an ion-exchange layer along the GH/gingival dentin interface of aged specimens. Conclusions: The marginal quality of the GH/dentin gingival interface defied aging by thermocycling. The replica SEM and FDI ranking results had stronger correlations with each other than either showed with the digital microscopy results.

Assessment of In Vitro Assay System for Thyroid Hormone Disruptors Using Rat Pituitary GH3 Cells

  • The development of in vitro assays has been recommended to screening and testing the potential endocrine disruptors (EDs). These assay systems focus only on identifying the estrogenic or antiestrogenic activity of EDs, whereas a few studies have been carried out to screen the thyroid hormone (TH) disruptors. The aim of this study was to evaluate a test system to detect TH disruptors using rat pituitary tumor $GH_3$ cells. The test system is based on the TH-dependent increase in growth rate. As expected, L-3,5,3-triiodothyronine ($(T_3)$ markedly induced a morphological change in $GH_3$ cells from flattened fibroblastic types to rounded or spindle-shaped types. $T_3$ stimulated $GH_3$ cell growth in a dose-dependent manner with the maximum growth-stimulating effect being observed at a concentration $1{\times}10^9M$. In addition, $T_3$ increased the release of growth hormone and prolactin into the medium of the $GH_3$ cells culture. Using this assay system, the TH-disrupting activities of bisphenol A (BPA) and its related compounds were examined. BPA, dimethy/bisphenol A (DMBPA), and TCI-EP significantly enhanced the growth of $GH_3$ cells in the range of $1{\times}10^{-5}M\;to\;1{\times}10^{-6}M$ concentrations. In conclusion, this in vitro assay system might be useful for identifying potential TH disruptors. However, this method will require further evaluation and standardization before it can be used as a broad-based screening tool.

Immediate Effects of Soft Tissue Massage on Posterior Shoulder Muscle Tightness: A Preliminary Study

  • Posterior shoulder muscle tightness is frequently observed in shoulder impingement syndrome because tightness in the posterior portion of the shoulder muscles can cause anterior and superior translation of the humeral head in relation to the glenoid fossa. The purpose of this study was to determine the immediate effects of soft tissue massage on acromiohumeral distance (AHD), anterior translation of the humeral head, and glenohumeral (GH) range of motion (ROM) in subjects with posterior shoulder muscle tightness. Twenty-seven subjects with greater than $10^{\circ}$ difference in the range of GH horizontal adduction between right and left sides were recruited. The range of GH horizontal adduction and internal rotation were measured by a digital inclinometer. The AHD and anterior translation of the humeral head were measured using ultrasonography. A paired t-test was used to compare AHD, anterior translation of the humeral head, and the range of GH horizontal adduction and internal rotation before and after soft tissue massage. The results showed that AHD increased significantly (p<.05) and the anterior translation of humeral head decreased slightly, but not significantly (p=.40) after the soft tissue massage. Furthermore, the ROM of horizontal adduction and internal rotation in the GH joint increased significantly after the soft tissue massage (p<.05). These findings indicate that soft tissue massage on posterior shoulder muscle tightness is an effective method to increase AHD and ROM in the horizontal adduction and internal rotation of the GH joint.

메탄하이드레이트 개발동향 (The Status of Methane Hydrate Development)

  • 대부분의 GH는 전세계 해양퇴적물에서 대부분 산출되며 매장량은 $10^{13}{\sim}20{\times}10^{15}m^3$로 현재 세계 에너지 사용량을 기준으로 근 1,000년에 해당하는 양이다. MH는 전통석유가스자원를 대체할 미래 천연가스자원으로써의 잠재력이 있기 때문에 감압법, 화학첨가제 주입법, 열자극법, $CO_2$-메탄 치환법 등 채굴기술개발이 필요하다. 우리나라의 경우 2014년까지는 시험생산이 가능할 것으로 기대되고 있다. 이를 위하여 생산방법을 비교하고 GH의 분해에 따르는 반응이 복잡하기 때문에 이러한 현상을 예측하는 기술과 효과적이고 환경 친화적인 가스를 생산할 수 있는 기술을 개발하는 것이다.

Effect of Chemical Structure on the Properties of UV-cured Polyurethane Acrylates Films

  • The effect of compositions of isophorone diisocyanate (IPDl)/4.4'-diphenylmethane diisocyalate (MDI) and polypropylene oxide diol (PPG, $M_w$: 3000)/1,4-butane diol (BD) on the properties of UV-cured polyurethane acrylate films based on 2-hydroxyethyl acrylate (HEA) was examined. UV-curable polyurethane acrylates were formulated from the prepolymer. trimethylol propane triacrylate (TMPTA) as a reactive diluent, and 1-hydroxycyclohexyl ketone (Irgacure 184) as a photoinitiator. Dynamic mechanical thermal properties and elastic properties of UV-cured polyurethane acrylates was fecund to depend on the chemical composition of IPDl/MDl and PPG/BD. As the BD content increased, the tensile storage modulus of all series samples increased significantly. The storage modulus increased in the order of samples A (IPDI based samples)> samples B (IPDI/MDl (7/3 molar ratio) based samples) > samples C (IPDI/MDl (5/5 molar ratio) based samples at the same composition. Two distinct louts modulus peaks for all samples are observed owing to the softs segment glass transition temperature ($T_gh$) and hard segment glass transition temperature ($T_gh$). The difference between $T_gh$, and $T_gh$, (Δ$T_g$) increases in the order of A > B > C at the same composition. In cycle test, the initial onset strain (%) was found to decrease with increasing BD content in PPG/BD and with increasing MDI content in IPDI/MDl.
