THE CRITICAL POINT EQUATION ON A FOUR DIMENSIONAL WARPED PRODUCT MANIFOLD

  • On a compact oriented n-dimensional manifold $(M^n,\;g)$, it has been conjectured that a metric g satisfying the critical point equation (2) should be Einstein. In this paper, we prove that if a manifold $(M^4,\;g)$ is a 4-dimensional oriented compact warped product, then g can not be a solution of CPE with a non-zero solution function f.

  • We consider a 3-dimensional Riemannian manifold M with a circulant metric g and a circulant structure q satisfying $q^3=id$. The structure q is compatible with g such that an isometry is induced in any tangent space of M. We introduce three classes of such manifolds. Two of them are determined by special properties of the curvature tensor. The third class is composed by manifolds whose structure q is parallel with respect to the Levi-Civita connection of g. We obtain some curvature properties of these manifolds (M, g, q) and give some explicit examples of such manifolds.

  • In this paper, let Q be the real quaternion algebra which consists of all quaternionic numbers, and let G be the Lie group of all automorphisms of the algebra Q. Assume that g is an arbitrary given left invariant Riemannian metric on the Lie group G. Then, we obtain a necessary and sufficient condition for an automorphism of the group G to be harmonic.

  • In this paper, we prove a fixed point theorem for G-contractive type non-self mapping in cone metric space endowed with a graph. Our result generalizes many results in the literature and provide a new pavement for solving nonlinear functional equations.

  • We find a $C^{\infty}$ one-parameter family of Riemannian metrics $g_t$ on $\mathbb{R}^3$ for $0{\leq}t{\leq}{\varepsilon}$ for some number ${\varepsilon}$ with the following property: $g_0$ is the Euclidean metric on $\mathbb{R}^3$, the scalar curvatures of $g_t$ are strictly decreasing in t in the open unit ball and $g_t$ is isometric to the Euclidean metric in the complement of the ball.

  • In this paper, we formulate the definition of compatible mappings of type (I) and (II) in intuitionistic fuzzy metric spaces and prove a common fixed point theorem by using the conditions of compatible mappings of type (I) and (II) in complete intuitionistic fuzzy metric spaces. Our results intuitionistically fuzzify the result of Cho, Sedghi, and Shobe [4].

  • In this article we derive some best approximation theorems for multimaps in abstract convex metric spaces. We are based on generalized KKM maps due to Kassay-Kolumbán, Chang-Zhang, and studied by Park, Kim-Park, Park-Lee, and Lee. Our main results are extensions of a recent work of Mitrović-Hussain-Sen-Radenović on G-convex metric spaces to partial KKM metric spaces. We also recall known works related to single-valued maps, and introduce new partial KKM metric spaces which can be applied our new results.

  • In this paper, we introduce the notion of rational g-h-ϕ-weak contractions in tripled metric-like spaces and demonstrate common fixed point results for each mappings in 0-σ complete tripled metric-like spaces and some examples and application are given.
