  • The main object of this work to introduced and studied a new class of fuzzy general nonlinear ordered random variational inequalities in ordered Banach spaces. By using the random B-restricted accretive mapping with measurable mappings ${\alpha},{\alpha}^{\prime}:{\Omega}{\rightarrow}(0,1)$, an existence of random solutions for this class of fuzzy general nonlinear ordered random variational inequality (equation) with fuzzy mappings is established, a random approximation algorithm is suggested for fuzzy mappings, and the relation between the first value $x_0(t)$ and the random solutions of fuzzy general nonlinear ordered random variational inequality is discussed.

  • Fuzzy information representation of multi-source spatial data is applied to landslide hazard mapping. Information representation based on frequency ratio and non-parametric density estimation is used to construct fuzzy membership functions. Of particular interest is the representation of continuous data for preventing loss of information. The non-parametric density estimation method applied here is a Parzen window estimation that can directly use continuous data without any categorization procedure. The effect of the new continuous data representation method on the final integrated result is evaluated by a validation procedure. To illustrate the proposed scheme, a case study from Jangheung, Korea for landslide hazard mapping is presented. Analysis of the results indicates that the proposed methodology considerably improves prediction capabilities, as compared with the case in traditional continuous data representation.

  • The paper introduces a new method for fuzzy processing. The method allows handing a piece of information lost in the classic fuzzification process, and thus neglected by other methods. Processing the result after fuzzification is sustained by the interpretation that the input-output set mapping, specified by the IF-THEN rules, can be regarded as a direct mapping of their corresponding alpha-cuts. Processing involves just singletons as intermediary results, the final result being a combination of singletons obtained from fired rules.
