  • Field data have been recorded as the time to failure or the number of failure of systems. We consider the time to failure and covariate variables in some pre-specified follow-up or warranty period. This paper aims to investigate study on the reliability estimation when some additional field data can be collected within-warranty period or after-warranty period. A various likelihood-based methods are outlined and examined for exponential or Weibull distribution.

  • Let $\mathbb{F}_q$ be a finite field with q elements and $\mathbb{F}_q((X^{-1}))$ be the field of all formal Laurent series with coefficients lying in $\mathbb{F}_q$. This paper concerns with the size of the set of points $x{\in}\mathbb{F}_q((X^{-1}))$ with their partial quotients $A_n(x)$ both lying in a given subset $\mathbb{B}$ of polynomials in $\mathbb{F}_q[X]$ ($\mathbb{F}_q[X]$ denotes the ring of polynomials with coefficients in $\mathbb{F}_q$) and deg $A_n(x)$ tends to infinity at least with some given speed. Write $E_{\mathbb{B}}=\{x:A_n(x){\in}\mathbb{B},\;deg\;A_n(x){\rightarrow}{\infty}\;as\;n{\rightarrow}{\infty}\}$. It was shown in [8] that the Hausdorff dimension of $E_{\mathbb{B}}$ is inf{$s:{\sum}_{b{\in}\mathbb{B}}(q^{-2\;deg\;b})^s$ < ${\infty}$}. In this note, we will show that the above result is sharp. Moreover, we also attempt to give conditions under which the above dimensional formula still valid if we require the given speed of deg $A_n(x)$ tends to infinity.

  • In order to learn an existing song and create a new song using an artificial neural network, it is necessary to convert the song into numerical data that the neural network can recognize as a preprocessing process, and one-hot encoding has been used until now. In this paper, we proposed a note embedding method using notes as a basic unit and a bar embedding method that uses the bar as the basic unit, and compared the performance with the existing one-hot encoding. The performance comparison was conducted based on quantitative evaluation to determine which method produced a song more similar to the song composed by the composer, and quantitative evaluation methods used in the field of natural language processing were used as the evaluation method. As a result of the evaluation, the song created with bar embedding was the best, followed by note embedding. This is significant in that the note embedding and bar embedding proposed in this paper create a song that is more similar to the song composed by the composer than the existing one-hot encoding.

  • This paper aims to analyze the PTG module for the finite-dimensional odd Contact superalgebra over a field of prime characteristic by using the method of Hu and Shen's mixed product realization. The general acting law in odd Contact superalgebra is obtained. In addition, the structure and irreducibility of graded module for odd Contact superalgebra are discussed.

  • In this paper, we characterize the Borel $\sigma$-field generated by the Hausdorff-Skorokhod metric on the space of normal and upper-semicontinuous fuzzy sets with compact support in the Ecleadean space R$\^$n/. As a result. we give a characterization of measurable fuzzy mappings .

  • In this note, we obtain the central limit theorem for linearly positive quadrant dependent random fields satisfying some assumptions on the covariances and the moment condition $supE\mid X_i\mid^3\;<{\infty}$ The proofs are similar to those of a central limit theorem for associated random field of Cox and Grimmett.

  • Horizontal bone defect in the anterior maxilla makes it difficult to place dental implant. The golden standard for bone augmentation is autogenous block bone graft. Tight contact with recipient site and rigid fixation are two key factors for successful block bone graft. Ramal bone graft has been the most reliable methods for dental implant field. However, the curvature of the alveolar ridge is different from ramal bone shape. Intraoperative trimming of ramal bone is cumbersome for surgeon. In this technical note, a simple way to design the ramal bone harvest using bone wax stent is reviewed.
