신호감지회로를 가진 극소형 위상고정루프 (An Ultra Small Size Phase Locked Loop with a Signal Sensing Circuit)

  • 본 논문에서는 신호감지회로(Signal Sensing Circuit : SSC)를 추가하여 2개의 루프로 구성된 단일 커패시터 루프필터를 가진 극소형 위상고정루프(Phase Locked Loop : PLL)를 제안하였다. 위상고정루프 크기를 극단적으로 줄이기 위하여 가장 많은 면적을 차지하는 수동소자 루프필터를 극소형 단일 커패시터(2pF)로 설계하였다. 신호감지회로가 포함된 내부 부궤환 루프 출력이 외부 부궤환 루프의 단일 커패시터 루프필터 출력에 부궤환 역할을 하여 제안한 극소형 위상고정루프가 안정적으로 동작하도록 설계하였다. 위상고정루프 출력 신호 변화를 감지하는 신호 감지 회로는 루프필터의 커패시턴스 전하량을 조절하여 위상고정루프 출력 주파수의 초과 위상변이를 줄였다. 제안된 구조는 기존 구조에 비해 1/78 정도의 작은 커패시터를 가짐에도 불구하고 지터 크기는 10% 정도 차이가 난다. 본 논문의 위상고정루프는 1.8V 180nm 공정을 사용하였고, Spice를 통해 안정하게 동작하는 시뮬레이션 결과를 보여주었다.

Mismatching Problem between Generic Pole-assignabilities by Static Output Feedback and Dynamic Output Feedback in Linear Systems

  • In this paper, it is clearly shown that the two well-known necessary and sufficient conditions mp n as generic static output feedback pole-assignment and mp + d(m+p) n+d as generic minimum d-th order dynamic output feedback pole-assignment on complex field, unbelievably, do not match up each other in strictly proper linear systems. For the analysis, a diagram analysis is newly created (which is defined by the analysis of 'convoluted rectangular/dot diagrams' constructed via node-branch conversion of the signal flow graphs of output feedback gain loops). Under this diagram analysis, it is proved that the minimum d-th order dynamic output feedback compensator for pole-assignment in m-input, p-output, n-th order systems is quantitatively decomposed into static output feedback compensator and its associated d number of arbitrary 1st order dynamic elements in augmented (m+d)-input, (p+d)-output, (n+d)-th order systems. Total configuration of the mismatched data is presented in a Table.

시간영역 파일럿 분할을 통한 T-DMB 중계기에서의 궤환신호 제거기법 (Feedback Cancellation Based on Partitioned Time-Domain Pilots for T-DMB Repeaters)

  • 동일 채널 중계기에서는 송 수신 신호간의 간섭으로 인해 중계기의 출력이 제한되는 문제점이 있다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 중계기에서 수신 신호를 복조하여 궤환채널을 추정하고 궤환신호를 제거하는 방법이 제시되었으나, T-DMB 시스템과 같이 파일럿 간격이 넓은 시스템에 복조형 궤환신호 제거방법을 적용할 경우 궤환채널 추정 속도가 느리다는 단점이 있다. 이를 극복하기 위해 본 논문에서는 시간영역의 파일럿을 여러 개의 서브 그룹으로 분할하여 궤환채널을 추정함으로써 적응 필터의 갱신 횟수를 증가시킬 수 있는 방법을 제안한다. 제안된 방법은 궤환채널 추정 속도를 개선하여 궁극적으로 궤환신호 제거 성능을 향상시킨다. 모의실험을 통해 제안된 방법이 기존 방법에 비해 궤환채널 추정 속도와 잔류 궤환신호 전력 (RFP) 측면에서 우수함을 보인다.

Process Control Using n Neural Network Combined with the Conventional PID Controllers

  • A neural controller for process control is proposed that combines a conventional multi-loop PID controller with a neural network. The concept of target signal based on feedback error is used fur on-line learning of the neural network. This controller is applied to distillation column control to illustrate its effectiveness. The result shows that the proposed neural controller can cope well with disturbance, strong interactions, time delays without any prior knowledge of the process.

  • This paper considers a global asymptotic output tracking problem with a prescribed constant reference signal for a class of single-input and single output-output nonlinear systems. It is shown that under some mild conditions on such a system there is a smooth output feedback achieving global asymptotic output tracking and such a smooth output controller is explicitly constructed by a new design method proposed. The usefulness of our result is illustrated by a numerical example.

  • In this paper, We proposed the nonlinear controller and observer design for a ball and beam system. Unfortunately, for the ball and beam system, the control coefficient is zero whenever the angular velocity or ball position are zero. Therefore, the relative degree of the ball and beam system is not well defined. The presented the nonlinear controller and observer design is based on the approximation input-output feedback linearization. And we verified that the proposed nonlinear controller and observer scheme is the feasible through a computer simulation.

Improvement of acoustic feedback stability by bandwidth compression and expansion

  • Both shifiting the input signal's frequencies by a fixed frequency and compressing the input signal's bandwidth have been known to be effective in improving the stability margin of public adress systems operating in reverberant spaces. This paper describes the effect of an alternative approach of improving the acoustic-feedback stability and yet maintaining speech inteligibility by bandwidth compression and expansion. Conditions are derived for this technizue to be realized and an experimental system has been made - up. A series of experiments has been performed in small spaces and the results have shown that more than 5dB improvement can be obtained in the stability margin.

  • Pole placement method is widely used in controller design. For the stability of the closed loop system, user-specified desired locations including extra pole locations in the s-plane is chosen and by some procedure, feedback gain is obtained. In this paper, only desired pole location is used, and the calculation process is done for attaining linear quadratic stability. Similarly transformation is used for this. By computer simulations using MATLAB, the effectiveness is shown.

  • In this paper, a DLC method is suggested for linear feedback systems to improve the tracking performance when the task of the system is repetitive. DLC can generate the desired control input directly from the previously teamed control inputs corresponding to other output trajectories. It is assumed that all outputs considered in this paper have some relations called "proportionality. " To show the validity and tracking performance of the proposed method, some simulation are performed for the tracking control of a linear system with a PI controller.
