Purpose : The purpose of this study was to identify the moderating and mediating effects of resilience in the relationship between emotional labor and job satisfaction among nurses working in intensive care units (ICUs). Method : The participants were 144 ICU nurses from three university hospitals. Data were collected using structured questionnaires and analyzed by t-test, ANOVA, $Scheff{\acute{e}}$ test, Pearson correlation coefficients, and multiple regression analysis, using SPSS 25.0. The mediating effect of resilience in the relationship between emotional labor and job satisfaction was analyzed by multiple regression analysis according to Baron and Kenny's procedure. Results : Statistically significant negative correlations were found between emotional labor and resilience (r=-.21, p<.014) and between emotional labor and job satisfaction (r=-.34, p<.001). A significant positive correlation was found between resilience and job satisfaction (r=.31 p<.001). The results of this study were as follows: first, job burnout proved to be significant, and demonstrated a positively correlation to surface acting and negatively correlation to deep acting. Second, altruism proved to be significant and demonstrated a positive correlation to deep acting, while also demonstrating a negatively correlation to both sex and surface acting. Third, conscientiousness proved to be significant and demonstrated a positive correlation to both age and deep acting, as well as a negatively correlation to surface acting. We employed a nonexperimental survey research design. The data included 160 nurses three hospitals in Chungchungbukdo and Kangwondo. The data were collected from 23th, August, 2016 to 15th, September using self-report, strutured questionnaires. The data were analyzed through ANOVA, t-test, Pearson correlation coefficient and multiple regression with SPSS 20.0. The results showed emotional labor, ego-resilience on organizational commitment averaged 3.80(out of 4), 2.81(out of 4), 3.86(out of 5). In terms of correlations, there was found to be a significant positive correlation between organizational commitment and ego-resilience(r=.418, p<.01) and negative correlation between organizational commitment and emotional labor(r=.309, p<.001). Age(${\beta}=.215$, p<.037), working department(${\beta}=-.209$, p<.011), emotional labor(${\beta}=.334$, p<.001), ego-resilience(${\beta}=.162$, p<.030) was largely influential in organizational commitment. The regression model explained 21.3% of organizational commitment. This study showed that organizational commitment of nurse was correlated with emotional labor and ego-resilience. The subjects of this study were 158 beauty business workers sampled from 25 beauty shops in Seoul. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire during the period from April 12 to May 13, 2011. From the collected data were obtained real numbers, percentages, and the means and standard deviations of professional identity, emotional labor and depression using the SPSS 16.0 Program. In addition, multiple regression analysis was performed to determine the correlations among the variables and to identify factors influencing the beauty business workers' depression. In the results of multiple regression analysis on factors that influence the subjects' depression, factors found to explain their depression were autonomy among the sub factors of professional identity, and the diversity of emotional expressions and surface acting among the sub factors of emotional labor, and these factors explained 23.6% of their depression. The subjects' professional identity was in a positive correlation with the frequency of emotional expressions and deep acting among the sub factors of emotional labor, and in a negative correlation with surface acting and depression. The Frequency of emotional expression and the diversity of emotional expressions which the sub factors of emotional labor were in a negative correlation with depression and in a positive correlation with surface acting and depression. In order to relieve beauty business workers from their depression based on these results, there should be education or programs for establishing beauty business workers' professional identity and program for increasing of emotional expressions and decreasing of surface acting.
