  • Evoked potentials(EP) measured with scalp electrodes are often described as a deterministic process corrupted by uncorrelated electrical activities occuring in the brain and These electrical activities(ongoing EEG) refer to noise in EP recording. The Conventional method to determine the EP waveform requires long recording time. Unfortunately most of algorithm developed are too complicated for implementation in real time. Thus, conner EP recording devices use Ensemble average for real time processing. In this paper introduce EP recording hardware for processing advanced algorithm in real tlne. This hardware is composed of DSP chip(TMS320c25) and microcomputer.

  • In this study, we have investigated the holography recording and reconstruction of the polarization state in chalcogenide $As_{40}$$Ge_{10}$$Se_{15}$$S_{35}$ thin films using a He-Ne laser light(633nm). The thickness of thin films is a 8677${\AA}$ and 9093${\AA}$. A He-Ne laser used to probe and record of the grating. Also the, polarization state of object beam modulated with a $\lambda/4$ wave plate. The polarization state of the +1st order diffracted beam generated by readout of the grating with a linearly polarized reference beam. It was the same-handed polarization state as the polarization state of the recording beam. The diffraction efficiency of circularly polarized recording represented higher than other polarization state.

  • Magnetoresistive random access memory (MRAM) don't get very public face on the field of non-volatile memory. Because recording capacity of MRAM is smaller than other non-volatile memory and structurally, magnetic efficiency of MRAM is very bad. We diminish a size of one cell in order to make MRAM of high recording capacity. But It don't make high recording field in general structures consisting of two current wire. Accordingly, We make a cell of small size is impossible. In this paper, we suggest new MRAM that it have two pole of high permeability on both ends of recording layer. Because magnetic efficiency of new MRAM is higher than exiting MRAM, it can make high recording field. And we can diminish the size of one cell due to recording layer of high coercivity. We used three-dimension finite element method to prove the reliability.

  • 디스크의 탄젠셜 성분의 틸트가 생긴 경우 발생하는 체널의 변화에 대해 적응형 부분 응답 신호처리 과정인 비터비 디코더를 적용하게 되면 비트오율에 상당한 효과를 가져온다. 이러한 적응 과정을 효과적으로 진행하기 위한 간략화된 오류 발생 알고리즘을 제안한다.

Neural Interface with a Silicon Neural Probe in the Advancement of Microtechnology

  • In this paper we describe the status of a silicon-based microelectrode for neural recording and an advanced neural interface. We have developed a silicon neural probe, using a combination of plasma and wet etching techniques. This process enables the probe thickness to be controlled precisely. To enhance the CMOS compatibility in the fabrication process, we investigated the feasibility of the site material of the doped polycrystalline silicon with small grains of around 50 nm in size. This silicon electrode demonstrated a favorable performance with respect to impedance spectra, surface topography and acute neural recording. These results showed that the silicon neural probe can be used as an advanced microelectrode for neurological applications.

  • A new equalization method for perpendicular magnetic recording channels is proposed. The proposed equalizer incorporates the Gaussian sum approximation into a Kalman filtering framework to mitigate inter-symbol interference in perpendicular magnetic recording systems. The proposed equalizer consists of a bank of linear equalizers using the Kalman filtering algorithm and its output is obtained by combining the outputs of linear equalizers through the Gaussian sum approximation.

  • Electrical compound action potential (ECAP) can be recorded on cochlear implant. This study will investigate stimulation and recording to enhance the efficacy of ECAP. 34 articles was used. We analyzed pulse and stimulating condition, artifact suppression, recording condition. The cathod-leading biphasic pulse was used with as short as possible pulse width and inter phase gap for the efficacy of neural firing, stable threshold and preventing neural degeneration. Around C-level was stimulated to apical, middle and basal turn of cochlea. Artifact was eliminated by forward-masking, template-subtraction technique. For clearer waveform, we need to change distance between stimulating and recording electrode, the gain of amplification, number of average.

A Computational Method to Consider the Saturation of Magnetic Field In a High Density Recording Head

  • In high density recording system, the recording head field on a medium should be focused in small bit area and should have a sufficient value to overcome the medium coercivity, which resulted in head saturation. In this paper, an efficient method to access the head field and field gradient considering head saturation is presented. The magnetic vector potential on the head surface is pre-calculated considering head saturation in several cases and accumulated into database. The head field on the recording media is easily produced solving Laplace equation using accessed magnetic vector potential boundaries. The computed head field is compared with a quantified magnetic force microscopy measurement.

  • 시스템을 입력과 출력간의 함수관계로 볼 때 출력에 대한 상대차수가 정의되지 않는 점을 특이점이라고 정의할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 적절한 기하학적 조건을 만족하는 해석적인 시스템(analytic system)에 대하여 그러한 특이점의 성질을 살펴본다. 특이점을 지나는 궤적은 특이점의 특이도와 그에 관련된 함수 값의 부호에 의해서 특이점의 주변에서는 특이 매니폴드를 기준으로 한 영역에서 나머지 다른 영역으로 통과하거나 혹은 그를 기준으로 어느 한 쪽의 영역에만 머물러 있게 됨을 보임으로써 특이점과 이를 지나는 궤적의 상관관계를 명확히 규명하였다.

  • 최근에 광 디스크 기기의 고배속화에 따라서 디스크의 재생 속도는 점차로 증가하고 있다. 이러한 경향에 따라 트랙킹 제어 루프에서 나타나는 디스크의 편심에 의한 외란의 영향은 더욱 커지게 되므로 기존의 선형 제어기만으로는 디스크의 편심량이 큰 경우에 고배속에서 원하는 트랙 추종 성능을 얻을 수가 없다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위해서 반복 학습 제어 알고리즘과 드라이브 시스템의 액츄에이터의 주파수 응답 특성을 이용한 새로운 트랙 추종 제어 방법을 제안한다. 또한, 제안된 트랙 추종 제어 시스템의 제어 성능을 실험을 통하여 검증하여 본다.
