영유아교사의 교사효능감과 스트레스 대처방식이 직무만족도에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of Teacher Efficacy and Stress Coping Strategies on Job Satisfaction of Teachers in Early Childhood Education and Care)

  • 이 연구는 영유아교사의 교사효능감과 스트레스 대처방식이 직무만족도에 미치는 영향을 살펴보기 위해 실시되었다. 영유아교사 189명을 대상으로 조사를 하여 얻은 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 직무만족도 가운데 직무특성에 대한 만족도가 가장 높았고, 훈육에 대한 교사 효능감이 가장 높았으며, 스트레스를 받을 경우 직접적 대처방식을 가장 많이 사용하였다. 둘째, 교사효능감의 하위요인 가운데 긍정적인 학습환경을 조성하는 능력은 영유아교사직의 직무특성, 원장 및 동료와의 관계에 정적인 영향을, 의사결정참여 능력은 원장 및 동료와의 관계, 근무환경, 복리 및 보수에 정적인 영향을 미쳤다. 셋째, 스트레스 대처방식의 하위요인 가운데 직접적인 대처 방식이 직무만족도의 모든 하위요인에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며 정신적, 심리적, 파괴적인 대처 방식은 각각 직무특성, 원장 및 동료와의 관계, 복리 및 보수에 영향을 미쳤다. 이와 같은 결과는 영유아교사의 직무만족도를 향상시키는 방법을 모색하는데 기초자료로 사용될 것이다.

  • Objective: The purpose of this study is to verify the effect of early childhood teacher's constructivist educational beliefs and teaching efficacy on creative teaching behavior. Methods: The subjects of this study were 262 early childhood teachers working in daycare centers and kindergartens all over the country. A questionnaire was administered which assessed early childhood teacher's constructivist educational beliefs, teaching efficacy, and creative teaching behavior. SPSS 28.0 was used for data analysis. Results: First, the constructivist educational beliefs of early childhood teachers had a positive effect on teaching efficacy. Second, it was found that early childhood teachers' constructivist educational beliefs and teaching efficacy had a positive effect on creative teaching behavior, and at the same time, early childhood teachers' constructivist educational beliefs were partially mediated by teaching efficacy. Conclusion/Implications: This study revealed the mediating effects of teaching efficacy in constructivist educational beliefs and creative teaching behavior relationships. Therefore, in order to promote creative teaching behavior of early childhood teachers, efforts should be made to increase teaching efficacy based on constructivist educational beliefs.

보육교사의 직무스트레스, 교사효능감, 정서중심 스트레스 대처방식 및 우울의 차이와 우울에 미치는 변인들의 영향 (The Differences in Job Stress, Teacher Efficacy, Emotion-Focused Coping Strategies and Depression, and Their Influences on Depression)

  • The purposes of this study were 1) to examine the differences in job stress, teacher efficacy, emotion-focused coping strategies and depression of teachers in early childhood education and care according to their demographic backgrounds, 2) to investigate the influences of these variables on depression. 586 teachers in ECEC answered the questionnaires and the collected data were analyzed through frequence, percentages, Pearson's correlations, One-Way ANOVA, Bonferroni post hoc test, and stepwise regression using SPSS 21.0. The findings are as follows. First, job stress was significantly different according to ECEC teachers' ages and types of centers they were employed at teacher efficacy was significantly different according to their ages and education levels, emotion-focused coping strategies and depression were respectively significantly different according to ages, types of centers and education levels. Second, ECEC teachers' depression was influenced by undercontrolled expressionof emotion-focused coping strategies, home connection and promotion of positive learning environment of teacher efficacy, undercontrolled thinkingof emotion-focused coping strategies and work overload and job stress in order. These results imply that a support system and a policy should be established for ECEC teachers to express and understand their emotions in a positive way and related information should be provided to them through workshops.

Healthcare coaching program for youth with type 1 diabetes in South Korea: a pilot study

  • Purpose: This pilot study aimed to assess the feasibility, preliminary efficacy, and effects of a mobile app healthcare coaching program developed based on self-regulation theory among youths with type 1 diabetes. Methods: A mixed-method design was utilized. Participants were randomly assigned into intervention (n=23, 12-week coaching program) or control groups (n=16, usual care). Pre- and post-intervention assessments included self-efficacy, diabetes management behavior, and health outcomes (quality of life, depression, and HbA1c). Quantitative data were analyzed with SPSS/WIN ver. 26.0. The narrative information from the participants in the healthcare coaching program underwent content analyzed. Results: The intervention group had significantly lower depression scores (t=2.57, p=.014) than the control group. No significant differences were observed in self-efficacy, diabetes management behavior, and health outcomes between the two groups. The average frequency of health behavior monitoring per week among the participants was 1.86±1.60. The qualitative findings indicated that participants perceived improved diabetes self-management with the intervention; however, challenges during vacations, dietary control difficulties, and a lack of disease awareness were identified. Conclusion: The healthcare coaching program improved psychological aspects for youth with type 1 diabetes. Further research is needed to develop and implement mobile app interventions aimed at enhancing compliance with diabetes management in pediatric and adolescent populations.

퇴원 후 미숙아의 수유 유형과 영향요인 (Factors Associated with the Method of Feeding Preterm Infants after Hospital Discharge)

  • Purpose: To investigate factors that may affect the method of feeding among preterm infants at 4 weeks after discharge. Methods: This study included 222 mother-infant dyads born before a gestational age of 37 weeks. The feeding method and general medical characteristics of the participants were assessed at 4 weeks after discharge using a structured questionnaire. Multinomial logistic regression analysis was used to examine which factors were associated with breastfeeding at home. Results: Of the 222 infants who qualified for the study, 71 (32.9%) continued to receive breastmilk at 4 weeks post-discharge. Multinomial logistic regression analysis showed that breastfeeding at 4 weeks post-discharge was associated with higher breastfeeding self-efficacy, vaginal delivery (experience), direct breastfeeding in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), gestational age between 30 and 34 weeks, and breastmilk consumption in the NICU. The following factors were associated with mixed feeding at 4 weeks post-discharge: being employed, having higher breastfeeding self-efficacy, and direct breastfeeding in the NICU. Conclusion: NICU nurses should provide opportunities for direct breastfeeding during hospitalization and support breastfeeding to enhance breastfeeding self-efficacy. These factors may help to ensure the continuation of breastfeeding after discharge. Moreover, factors that affect breastfeeding should be considered when providing interventions.

다문화가족 방문교육지도사의 다문화 효능감과 직무만족도에 관한 연구 (A Study on Multicultural Family Visiting Instructors' Multicultural Efficacy and Job Satisfaction)

  • This study examined the multicultural efficacy and job satisfaction of multicultural family visiting instructors. The subjects were 750 visiting instructors from 140 multicultural family support centers in Seoul, 6 metropolitan cities, 9 provinces, and other cities and counties. Data were analyzed through frequency, percentages, Pearson's correlations, One-way ANOVA, Scheff$\acute{e}$ post-hoc test, independent t-test, and stepwise multi-regression using PASW 18.0. The findings are as follows. First, there were statistically significant differences in all subscales of multicultural efficacy according to the teaching experiences of the multicultural family visiting instructors. On the other hand, there was a statistically significant difference only in trust in the relationships with multicultural families according to the teaching experiences of the multicultural family visiting instructors. Meanwhile, the independent t-test showed that there was a significant difference only in satisfaction regarding treatment and salary according to the assigned work. Second, the stepwise multi-regression models revealed that three subscales (job performance, trust in the relationships with the multicultural families, job aptitude) of job satisfaction were influenced by multicultural efficacy according to both the teaching experiences and assigned work, but this was no the case for satisfaction about treatment and salary. Regardles of teaching experience or assigned work, teaching efficacy in multicultural efficacy affected all subscales of job satisfaction except for satisfaction about treatment and salary. The implications for future studies are also discussed.

임파워먼트 프로그램이 뇌성마비 아동 어머니의 부담감에 미치는 효과 (Effects of an Empowerment Program on the Burden of Mothers Having a Child with Cerebral Palsy*)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to develop an empowerment program as a nursing intervention for mothers who care for a child with cerebral palsy at home and to determine the effects of the program on those mothers' self efficacy, coping behavior and burden. Method: An non-equivalent control group pretest-posttest design was used in this study. An Empowerment program was developed based on Dunst & Trivette's model. Using the program, the study was carried out from Dec. 13, 2003 to Jan. 17, 2004, mothers whose children, aged 1 to 6, were outpatients of the Dept. of Rehabilitation Medicine, at P University Hospital or registered at educational institutions for early disabled children. The experimental group of subjects were included in the new empowerment program which was held for two and half hours every week for 6 times. Results: After treatment with the Empowerment Program, the experimental group was found to be significantly increased in score for self efficacy(t=4.55, p<.01), coping behavior(t=5.54, p<.001), objective burden(t=-3.96, p<.01) and subjective burden(t=-5.05, <.01), in comparison to the control group. Conclusion: The Empowerment Program is very effective in increasing self efficacy and coping behavior of mothers having a child with cerebral palsy and decreasing their burden. Finally, this study would recommend that an empowerment program should be extended to community facilities such as public health offices and welfare centers.

유아기 자녀를 둔 아버지의 양육스트레스 영향 요인에 관한 연구 (The study on the determinants of Father's parenting stress)

  • 본 연구는 유아기 자녀를 둔 아버지의 양육스트레스에 영향을 미치는 변인들의 구조적 관계를 알아보기 위해 수행되었다. 본 연구는 육아정책연구소에서 수집한 한국아동패널 5차년도 자료를 활용하였고, 본 연구의 대상은 만 5세 유아기 자녀를 둔 1609명의 아버지들이다. 본 연구를 위해 아버지의 수입, 우울, 부부관계, 자기효능감, 아버지의 양육스트레스와 자녀의 기질을 측정한 자료를 활용하였다. 유아기 자녀를 둔 아버지들의 개인적 특성, 관계적 특성, 유아의 기질, 아버지의 양육스트레스 간의 관계를 알아보기 위해 상관분석을 실시하였고, 모형의 적합성을 알아보기 위해 구조방정식을 사용하였다. 연구결과, 첫째, 아버지의 양육스트레스는 아버지의 자기효능감, 소득과 부적 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났고, 아버지의 우울, 부부갈등과는 정적 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 아버지의 양육스트레스는 자녀의 기질 중 사회성, 활동성과는 부적 상관이 정서성과는 정적 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 모형검증결과, 아버지의 우울은 양육스트레스에 직접적인 영향을 미칠 뿐 아니라 자기효능감을 매개로 양육스트레스에 유의한 영향을 미치고, 유아의 기질 중 부정적 정서는 자기효능감을 매개로 양육스트레스에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

보육교사의 교사효능감 및 전문성 수준이 교사-유아 상호작용에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Teacher Efficacy and Level of Professionalism of Child-care Teachers on Interaction of Teachers and Children)

  • 본 연구는 보육교사의 교사효능감, 전문성 수준이 교사-유아 상호작용에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위한 연구이다. 그에 따른 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 20대 교사보다 30대 이상의 교사에게서 교사효능감, 전문성 수준 및 교사-유아 상호작용이 높게 나타났다. 교사의 평가인증경험에 따라서는 교사효능감과 전문성 수준이 집단 간 유의한 차이가 나타났으며, 교사효능감은 평가인증경험이 없는 집단보다 평가인증경험이 2회 이상인 집단이 높게 나타났고, 교사의 전문성 수준은 평가인증경험이 없는 집단과 1회인 집단보다 평가인증경험이 2회 이상인 집단이 높게 나타났다. 둘째, 교사효능감, 전문성 수준 및 교사-유아 상호작용간의 관계를 알아본 결과, 교사효능감은 전문성 수준, 교사-유아 상호작용과 정적 상관이 나타났고, 교사의 전문성 수준은 교사-유아 상호작용과 정적 상관이 나타났다. 셋째, 사회인구학적 변인(교사의 연령, 경력, 평가인증경험), 교사효능감 및 전문성 수준이 교사-유아 상호작용에 미치는 상대적 영향력을 살펴 본 결과, 교사의 연령이 높을수록 교사-유아 언어적 상호작용에, 교사의 경력이 높을수록 교사-유아 행동적 상호작용에 미치는 영향력이 높은 것으로 나타났으며, 교사의 연령과 교사효능감, 전문성 수준이 높을수록 교사-유아 상호작용 전체에 미치는 영향력이 높은 것으로 나타났다.

영아교사의 정서지능이 놀이교수효능감에 미치는 영향: 교사가 인식한 부모-교사 신뢰관계와 협력행동의 매개효과를 중심으로 (The Effect of Emotional Intelligence of Infant Teachers on Play Teaching Efficacy: The Mediating Effects of Trust Relationship and Cooperative Behavior Between Parents and Teachers)

  • Objective: The purpose of this study was to investigate the mediating effects of the parent-teacher trust relationship and cooperative behavior in the relationship between the emotional intelligence of infant teachers and their play teaching efficacy. Methods: A total number of 216 teachers in charge of infants under the age of two at childcare centers located in H, Y, and O cities in Gyeonggi-do participated in the survey. Using SPSS 23.0 and AMOS 22, descriptive statistics, correlation and structural equation model were analyzed. Results: First, the emotional intelligence of infant teachers had a direct effect on play teaching efficacy. Second, the emotional intelligence of infant teachers influenced play teaching efficacy through parent-teacher's trust relationship. Third, the emotional intelligence of infant teachers influenced play teaching efficacy through parent-teacher cooperative behavior. Fourthly, it was found that the parent-teacher trust relationship and cooperative behavior were mediated sequentially in the influence of the emotional intelligence of infant teachers on play teaching efficacy. Conclusion/Implications: The results of this study emphasize the importance of improving the emotional intelligence of teachers and the trust and cooperation between parents and teachers in order to increase the ability of early childhood teacher's play teaching efficacy.
