반도체 봉지수지의 파괴 인성치 측정 및 패키지 적용 (Fracture Toughness Measurement of the Semiconductor Encapsulant EMC and It's Application to Package)

  • The micro crack was occurred where the stress concentrated by the thermal stress which was induced during the cooling period after molding process or by the various reliability tests. In order to estimate the possibility of development from inside micro crack to outside fracture, the fracture toughness of EMC should be measured under the various applicable condition. But study was conducted very rarely for the above area. In order to provide a was to decide the fracture resistance of EMC (Epoxy Molding Compound) of plastic package which is produced by using transfer molding method, measuring fracture is studied. The specimens were made with various EMC material. The diverse combination of test conditions, such as different temperature, temperature /humidity conditions, different filler shapes, and post cure treatment, were tried to examine the effects of environmental condition on the fracture toughness. This study proposed a way which could improve the reliability of LOC(Lead On Chip) type package by comparing the measured $J_{IC}$ of EMC and the calculated J-integral value from FEM(Finite Element Method). The measured $K_{IC}$ value of EMC above glass transition temperature dropped sharply as the temperature increased. The $K_{IC}$ was observed to be higher before the post cure treatment than after the post cure treatment. The change of $J_{IC}$ was significant by time change. J-integral was calculated to have maximum value the angle of the direction of fracture at the lead tip was 0 degree in SOJ package and -30 degree in TSOP package. The results FEM simulation were well agreed with the results of measurement within 5% tolerance. The package crack was proved to be affected more by the structure than by the composing material of package. The structure and the composing material are the variables to reduce the package crack.ack.

전파발무향심의 수직편파에 대한 특성평가 (Evaluation of the Characteristics of Semi-Anechoic Chamber for the Vertical Polarization)

  • With the rapid advance of electronic equipments and the frequent, use of them, the electromagnetic environments including EMC or EMI problems are very complicated. The radiation of electromagnetic waves from electronic equipments has strictly been controlled by the authorities concerned from many years ago. Though it is the most proper to test EMI or EMC in the open area test site, we have used the anechoic chamber in place of the test site because of its various restrictions. To achieve the purpose, in this paper, the performances of a few anechoic chambers according to absorbing materials are analyzed for horizontal and vertical polarizations respectively. Furthermore, the calculated and the measured site attenuations in semi-anechoic chamber made with ferrite grid are compared. The obtained results are to be valuable for designing an anechoic chamber.

  • 의료장비의 발달로 인해 병원에서의 영상진단, 고주파 수술기를 통한 위생적 치료, 고주파 온열기를 통한 암 치료 등 우리 생활에 가까운 곳에서 고주파를 이용한 의료기기들이 넓게 활용되고 있는 시점에 고주파를 이용한 응용기기들 간의 RF상호 간섭 문제에 대한 대책이 미흡한 실정이다. "그러므로 향후기술개발과 고주파응용 의료기기의 산업발전에 문제가 될 수 있는 요인을 방지하기 위하여 고주파응용의료기기의 사용 현장에서 발생될 수 있는 상호 간섭 문제를 합리적이고 적합한 시험방법개발이 필요하다." 본 논문에서는 고주파응용 의료기기에 대한 상호 간섭문제를 해결하기위해 전자파 평가를 위한 표준시험방법을 연구하였다.

  • 전자화 기기의 신뢰성이 요구되는 산업환경에서 외부잡음, 방사잡음, 전도 노이즈 등으로 인한 제품의 오동작 및 기능장해 문제가 발생되고 있다. 저압용 배선용 차단기 또한 네트워크를 통한 통신, 감시(monitoring). 제어(control) 둥의 기능을 구현하기 위한 전자회로를 탑재한 전자식 제품의 개발이 활발이 이루어지고 있으며 정화한 시험을 통한 검증이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 전자회로 트림장치를 가진 전자식 차단기에 대한 IEC947-2에서 요구하는 EMC 시험방법을 고찰하고자 한다.

Development of Improved EMC Filter for EFT in Power Supply

  • Since the most of malfunctions in the industrial equipment controlled by processors is consist of the electrical fast transient (EFT)$^{[1],[2]}$TEX>, the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) prepared the dummy signal to test the immunity level of the equipments. To work out a countermeasure for the malfunction, We designed a new electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) filter for high power supply, which is consisted of a feed-through capacitor and ferrite materials with high permeability. The ferrite material is surrounded with a power cable or is inserted on the cable’s second layer in order to increase common-mode inductance. We have obtained a excellent insertion loss characteristics over the frequency band from 150 kHz to 30 MHz. The developed new EMC filter satisfy IEC 61000-4-4 and is suitable for industrial, militaly, and medical equipments with reduced malfuntions.

  • Most of malfunctions in electronic equipment or systems controlled by processors is occurred by the differential- and common-mode noises, and the electrical fast transient (EFT). The International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) has prepared the dummy signal to test the immunity level of the equipment. For the countermeasure against the differential- and common-mode noises, and the EFT, we designed, fabricated, and tested a new electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) filter, which is composed of feed-through capacitors and ferrite beads with high permeability. As a result, the filter showed excellent differential- and common-mode noises filtering, and immunity improving characteristics over the frequency band from 30 MHz to 1.5 GHz and 1.8 GHz, respectively.

논 유출수 BOD의 유량가중평균농도(EMC) 확률분포 (Probability Distribution of BOD EMC from Paddy Fields)

  • Identification of probability distribution for water quality constituents from specific land use is important to achieve successful implementation of TMDL program. In this 3-year study, distribution of discharge and BOD(Biological Oxygen Demand) concentration from paddy rice fields were monitored. Four probability distributions, normal, log-normal, Gamma and Weibull were fitted and the goodness-of-fit was assessed using probability plots and Kolmogorov-Smirnov test. $EMC_s$ of BOD in runoff from paddy field ranged 0.37 to $7.99\;mgL^{-1}$, and all four probability distributions were acceptable. But the normal distribution would be preferred for BOD from paddy fields considering nature of straight forward application.

  • 자동차 전자 제어 장치의 확대 보급에 따라 관련 장치의 오동작으로 인해 발생하는 자동차 사고 및 인명 손실을 최소화하기 위해 ISO 26262가 제정되어 완성 차량 제작사는 물론 부품 공급사에 적용되고 있다. 이 규격에서는 자동차 전체 시스템을 대상으로 개발 초기부터 생산/폐기에 이르기까지 전체 생명주기에서의 안전 요구사항을 적용토록 요구하고 있으며, 전자파 적합성 분야도 중요한 검토 항목으로 규정되어 있다. 따라서 자동차의 설계, 제조, 검증, 사용, 유지보수기간 동안 각 단계별로 적용할 EFS(EMC for Functional Safety)에 대한 개발과 연구가 절실히 필요한 실정이다. 본 논문에서는 ISO26262의 적용에 따라 EFS를 어떻게 적용할 수 있는가를 검토하였다. 이러한 검토 결과를 적용하여 자동차의 기능 안전성 확보를 위해 EFS 평가를 강제 법규화하거나 또는 신차 안전도 평가(NCAP) 항목으로 확대 적용함으로써 제작사 스스로가 안전성 확보를 위한 절차를 수행하도록 규정할 필요가 있다.

  • 레이다 시스템에서 최대 탐지거리를 충족하는 것은 매우 중요하다. 최대 탐지거리를 충족하기 위해서는 레이다 시스템의 수신신호에 대한 민감도가 높아야 한다. 또한 레이다 신호처리기에서 동적 영역이 넓어야 한다. 이러한 요구사항을 충족하기 위해서는 신호처리기 보드가 외부 및 내부 노이즈에 강인하게 설계되어야 한다. 특히 보드 내부에서 여러 스위칭 회로로 인하여 발생되는 잡음이 수신되는 레이다 신호에 영향을 최소화 하기 위한 설계가 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 레이다 시스템 성능을 충족하기 위하여 신호처리기 보드의 요구사항을 도출하고 도출된 요구사항을 충족하기 위한 설계에 대하여 기술한다. 또한 외부에서 입력되어 들어오거나 내부에서 생성되는 노이즈의 영향을 최소화 하기 위한 EMC 설계에 대하여 기술한다. 제작된 보드의 시험을 통하여 확보된 성능을 확인한다.

ELINT 포드를 장착한 전투기의 전자기 환경 영향(E3) 시험평가에 관한 연구 (A Study on Electromagnetic Environmental Effects(E3) Test and Evaluation of Fighter Equipped with ELINT Pod)

  • This paper describes the verification test on Electromagnetic Environmental Effects(E3), which conducted on ground as a final step to confirm the normal operation of ELINT pod and Safety-of-Flight of KF-16C/D mounted with ELINT pod prior to the initial flight. Based on MIL-STD-464A, indispensable 7 requirements among 14 detailed requirements total were carried out in the test. Considering the Safety-of-Flight(SOF), we invest a great deal of time and effort on Hazards of Electromagnetic Radiation to Ordnance(HERO) and Intra-system EMC test. E3 test and evaluation were performed on 62 equipments of KF-16C/D, respectively. As a result, we verify that KF-16C/D mounted with ELINT pod(hereafter "system") are electromagnetically compatible among all subsystems and equipment within the system and with environments caused by electromagnetic effects external to the system.
