  • The automatic generation of circuit diagrams has been practically used in the HDL based design for decades. Nevertheless, the diagrams became too complicated for the designers to identify the signal flows in the RTL and system level designs. In this paper, we propose four techniques to enhance the roadability of the complicated diagrams. They include i) the transformation of repetitive instances and terminals into vector forms, ii) an improved loop breaking algorithm, iii) a flat tap which simplifies the two level bus ripping structure that is required for the connection of a bundle net to multiple buses, and iv) the identification of block strings, and alignment of the corresponding blocks. Towards validating the proposed techniques, the diagrams of an industrial strength design m generated. The complexity of the diagrams has been reduced by up to $90\%$ in terms of the number of wires, the aggregate wire length, and the area.

  • One of powerful software paradigms for distributed systems is a mobile agent system. Since the usage of mobile agent systems is increased, a software development model to construct softwares efficiently for these systems is needed. Currently, UML is a widely used software development model. However, existing UML can not describe the necessary mobility of the mobile agent based software systems in explicit way. In this paper, the interaction diagrams of UML(sequence diagrams and communication diagrams) are extended and used to express the mobility of the mobile agents including the functions of platforms of mobile agent systems in three ways. For a case study, we applied the extended diagrams to a distributed file searching using mobile agents, and we confirmed these diagrams can describe the function and mobility of mobile agents very well.

  • The purpose of this study was to make an analysis of the conceptual diagrams of early childhood teachers about education for happiness in an effort to suggest the possibility and guidelines of this education. The subjects in this study were 100 teachers at kindergartens and daycare centers located in the city of Busan and South Gyeongsang Province. Out of them, 50 teachers each were selected from the kindergartens and the daycare centers. The conceptual diagrams drawn up by the early childhood teachers were analyzed to find out the numbers of superordinate concept, the number of content element, characteristics, hierarchy and density. The findings of the study were as follows: First, as for the content of education for happiness, superordinate concepts appeared 364 times in the conceptual diagrams of the kindergarten teachers, and there were 21 superordinate concepts overall in their diagrams. Second, concerning the content of education for happiness, superordinate concepts appeared 296 times in the conceptual diagrams of the daycare center teachers, and there were 18 superordinate concepts in total. The findings of the study showed that the kindergarten teachers had a better knowledge on the concept of education for happiness than the daycare center teachers, and that there was a difference between the two groups in what they considered valuable in relation to the content of education for happiness.

  • Reverse engineering involves examining a system or component so as to comprehend its structure, functionality, and operation. Creation of a system model in reverse engineering can serve several purposes: test generation, change impact analysis, and the creation of a new or modified system. When attempting to reverse engineering a system, often the most readily accessible information is the system description, which does not readily lend itself to use in Model Based System Engineering (MBSE). Therefore, it is necessary to be able to transform this description into a diagram, which clearly depicts the behavior of the system as well as the interaction between components. This study demonstrates how sequence diagrams can be extracted from the systems description. Using MBSE software, the sequence diagrams for the Engineered Safety Features Component Control System (ESF-CCS) of the Nuclear Power Plant are created. Sequence diagrams are chosen because they are a means of representing the systems behavior and the interaction between components. In addition, from these diagrams, the system's functional requirements can be elicited. These diagrams then serve as the baseline of the reverse engineering process and multiple system views are subsequently be created from them, thus speeding up the development process. In addition, the use of MBSE ensures that any additional information obtained from auxiliary sources can then be input into the system model, ensuring data consistency.

  • This study examined the visual elements of the Trompe l'oeil design and the combination conditions of each element in order to deduce the form generation diagrams of Trompe l'oeil fashion design. The following is what the study found: First, Trompe l'oeil fashion design can be divided into two based on its subject: 'the combination of internal elements of dress' and 'the combination of external elements of dress'. Looking at the visual components of each type, depending on the subject, 'the combination of internal elements of dress' design was achieved by combining internal dress elements: including textile, detail, item, accessory, layering, etc.. In case of 'the combination of external elements of dress' design, the object of Trompe l'oeil was expanded in scope to environment, which includes the actions of a wearer. Second, as for Trompe l'oeil fashion design through the combination of external dress elements, the condition to combined visual components of the work in the process of creation was related to 'the popularity of object', 'the similarity of shapes and sizes', and 'the probability of location'. Third, deriving a form generation diagrams of Trompe l'oeil fashion design was very effective in delineating specific relationships and conditions, directions among elements combined in fashion design.
