천식관리 교육 프로그램이 학령전기 아동의 천식치료 적응에 미치는 효과 (The Effects of an Asthma Management Education Program for Preschoolers)

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to develop an asthma management education program for preschool children using Roy's adaptation theory as a framework and examining the effects of this program on adaptation to asthma treatment. Methods: A non-equivalent control group pre-post-test design was used with 43 preschool children diagnosed with asthma and required to be hospitalized for inhalation therapy. An intervention group (n=23) participated in the educational program and a control group (n=20) received regular treatment. The education program was conducted and evaluated from June 30 to October 31 2012, a maximum 3 times every 24 hours during hospitalization. Two nurses conducted the program using the teaching method of Gagn$\acute{e}$ and Briggs; instruction design theory through questionnaires to measure perception of disease, behavior of adaptation to treatment with inhalation therapy. Results: Effects of asthma management education program; scores for face-pain rating decreased and time of adaptation to treatment increased significantly in the experimental group compared to the control group but no significant differences were found for perception of the disease's cause and treatment. Conclusion: Results indicate that the asthma management education program has positive effects on adaptation to asthma treatment of preschoolers.

간호윤리 수업에서의 CEDA 토론학습이 간호대학생의 도덕 판단력과 윤리적 가치관에 미치는 효과 (Effects of Nursing Ethics Education based upon CEDA Debates on Moral Judgment and Ethical Values)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to compare the effects of CEDA (Cross Examination Debate Association) debate with those of traditional lecture education on moral judgment and ethical values using the Korean version of DIT and the ethical values. Methods: The experiment was performed for 9 weeks, from September 2 to November 12, 2010. Participants were 71 undergraduate nursing students in a nursing college, assigned to an experimental group (36 students) or a control group (35 students). The design of this study was a non equivalent control group pretest-posttest design. Results: The experimental group reported significantly higher scores of the 4 stage scores of moral judgment (t=-2.19, p=.036) and ethical values (t=3.04, p=.004) than the control group. However, no significant differences were found in the P score of moral judgment between the two groups. Conclusion: The findings of this study showed the benefits of providing a CEDA debate course for nursing ethics education. Therefore, in further studies, it is necessary to develop various teaching strategies or educational programs to improve nursing ethical values and moral judgment.

핵심기본간호술 실습교육이 간호학생의 자기효능감과 임상수행능력, 실습만족도에 미치는 효과 (Effects of Core Fundamental Nursing Skills Education on Self-efficacy, Clinical Competence and Practice Satisfaction in Nursing Students)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to contribute to the development of efficient methods of nursing practice education by evaluating effects of core fundamental nursing skills education on self-efficacy, clinical competence and practice satisfaction in nursing students. Method: The research design was a one group pretest-posttest design and it was done to assess changes in self-efficacy and clinical competence from pre to the post-test which was given after the core fundamental nursing skills education was completed. Data were collected from September 5 to December 20, 2013 from 156 nursing students who were taking the 12-hours core fundamental nursing skills education at one university in Gyeonggi-do. This practicum was composed of 6 core fundamental nursing skills. Results: Self-efficacy and clinical competence scores improved. There was no significant difference in self-efficacy but there was a significant difference of clinical competence. In the subscales of clinical competence, the domain of nursing skill was scored the highest. The score for practice satisfaction was also high. Conclusion: The results indicate that the core fundamental nursing skills education is effective in improving clinical competence and practice satisfaction in nursing students. But new strategies are needed to improve self-efficacy.

Evaluation of Web Sites on Sexuality Education for the Adolescents

  • Objectives: The aim of this study was to assess the quality of the information and characteristics associated with information packaging, and develop suggestions for how this web site might be improved. Methods: The 50 sites were selected for evaluation. Inclusion criteria for evaluation were the purpose and the popularity of the sites. Two kinds of evaluation tool were employed for the analysis: one that evaluate the quality of information and the design of the web sites, and another that evaluate the covered contents. A scoring system allowed the sites point on yes/no basis on the evaluation items. The association between quality of the web sites on sexuality education and their site characteristics were assessed using ANOVA. Conclusions: Major conclusions were as follows. First, the scope and currency of the selected web sites were found to be appropriate. Second, the authority of the information was found to be the most serious problem of the selected sites. Third, the category of sexual behavior found to be the most frequently mentioned and sexual health was the second. The least mentioned category was personal skills. Finally, sites operated by private organization were found to have more accurate information and better design feature than those operated by public organization and/or individual.

의학교육에의 교육순환모델(Learning Cycle)의 적용과 쟁점 (Applications and issues of the Learning Cycle to medical education)

  • Purpose: The 'learning cycle' proposed by Guilbert in 1981 has been accredited as an effective and useful model for curriculum design. Three components of learning cycle, learning objective, instructional method, and assessment are connected organically and form basic structure of curriculum. In this study, we intend to analyze how the learning cycle and its three components are applied to present medical curriculum and examine the points at issue of the learning cycle in medical education. Also, we try to identify the educational significance of the leaning cycle in medical education. Results: First, concerning the learning objective, it was identified that impractical and abstract expressions are major controversial points. Also, there is a need to make learning objectives covering entire medical curriculum. Second, because of various structural problems, it is hard to practice new and various instructional methods. Third, even though there is a growing need for medical curriculum to develop and utilize more various and detailed assessment and evaluation, it was revealed that only are standardized and traditional assessments mainly used. Conclusion: Synthetically, we have some suggestions as follows. First, it is necessary to specify and actualize the learning objectives. Also, instructional methods and assessments should be diversified. And finally, there is a need to build organic and delicate medical curriculum by applying the learning cycle to medical education more actively.

기업의 재무제표 작성역량 강화방안에 관한 연구 (A Study on An Improvement of the Ability of Preparing the Financial Statements)

  • Purpose - The purpose of this study is to achieve effective system improvement and operation methods for the improvements on the ability of firms'preparation of the financial statements Design/methodology/approach - This study conducts a survey of not only the accounting staff but also accounting specialist such as CPA or CTA. Findings - For the improvements on the ability of firms'preparation of the financial statements, comprehensive improvement in accounting education is needed as follows. First, the focus of accounting education should be converted to the consolidated financial statements, case study and analysis of accounting standards. Second, Financial Supervisory Service and Korea Accounting Institute in cooperation with accountancy firm need to create an accounting education program. Third, the focus of accounting education should be converted to consumer oriented education by providing accounting knowledge with various methods of teaching. Fourth, this study suggests the creation of the committee on Accounting Education. Research implications or Originality - As a result of the incorrect practice of firms'relying on auditors to prepare the financial statements, social concerns about the reliability of accounting information are raised because the incorrect practice decreases the auditor's independence and weaken the auditor's ability to verify accounting information. Therefore, this study analyzes the current status of auditors'preparation of the financial statements.

아동과 노인 간의 관계 향상을 위한 세대통합프로그랭에 관한 연구 - 세대간 상호작용활동을 중심으로 - (A Study on Intergenerational Program for Relationships Improvement between Children and the Elderly - on the Intergenerational Activities -)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine whether the intergenerational program affected the children's perceptions on the elderly and aging. This study also investigated how the children evaluated the program. The study methods was one group pretest-posttest design. The subjects were 30 elementary school children from 1st to 3rd grade. The intergenerational program was composed of 6 activities: recreation activity for rapport, making a kite, gardening, learning old customs, education of traditional manner, and making rice-cakes. It was executed for two weeks. Data for children's perceptions on the elderly and aging were collected by the interview using questionnaire at pretest-posttest. The results of the qualitative data analysis showed that the children's perception on the elderly and aging changed more positively after the program. There were significant differences between pre- and post-test on the children's perceptions of aging and intellectual aspects of the elderly. Most of the children evaluated the program very positively.

PBL을 적용한 창의공학설계 교수설계 방안 연구 (A Study on PBL Instructional Design for Creative Engineering Design Education)

  • 21세기 교육은 객관적 지식이나 정보를 전달하는 것에서 학습자들의 비판적사고력과 문제해결 능력을 배양하는 것으로 바뀌고 있다. 더욱이 대학교육에서는 학습자들이 졸업 후 진출하게 될 분야에서 담당하게 될 실제적인 업무를 미리 경험하게하고 자기주도적 학습과 협동학습 능력을 배양할 수 있는 학습자 중심 교육환경의 필요성이 대두되고 있다. PBL은 현재 학습자가 처한 상황을 고려하여 학습자의 흥미를 이끌어 낼 수 있는 현실적이고 실제적인 문제에 관심을 가진다. PBL에서 학습자는 일방적인 지식을 습득하기보다는 다양한 생각과 배경지식을 가진 동료 학습자들과 시식을 공유하고 의미를 협상해 나가는 과정을 통해 협력적 지식을 구축하는 사회적 학습을 경험한다. 이러한 PBL의 장점으로 인해 학교 현장에서 PBL방법의 활용도가 점차 확대되고 있다. 그러나 공학교육에서는 PBL방법이 활동되지 못하고 있다. 따라서 이러한 현 상황을 개선하기 위한 새로운 방법이나 방안들을 개발하거나 도입하여 이를 활용할 필요가 있다. 본 연구는 현대산업 사회에서 요구하는 창의적 문제 해결 능력을 갖춘 인재를 양성하기 위하여 효율적으로 학습할 수 있도록 하기 위한 방안으로 창의공학설계 교과목에 대한 PBL 교수설계 모형을 개발하였다. 이 모형은 크게 5가지 절차로 구성되어 있는데 즉, 분석, 설계, 개발, 실행, 평가로 구성된다. 개발한 PBL 교수설계 모형에 기반하여 창의 공학 설계 교과목을 설계하였다. 본 연구는 창의공학 설계 수업을 위한 PBL 교수 설계 과정에 초점을 두었다. 이러한 교수 설계가 실효성을 거두기 위해서는 실제 많은 강의 현장에 적용해 보는 연구가 뒷받침되어야 할 것이다.

공학교육에서 학습자 주도형 강의방법을 통한 학습효과 향상에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Enhancement of Learning Effects through Student-Oriented Teaching Methods in Engineering Education)

  • 공학교육에서 학생들의 학습효과를 향상시키고 학생들에게 현장실무능력을 제공할 수 있는 개선된 강의방법을 모색하였다. 본 대학 기계설계과 유공압공학 교과목을 수강하는 학생들을 대상으로 학습자 주도형 강의방법을 도입한 결과 학습동기유발, 학습의욕고취, 상상력과 창의력 배양, 문제해결능력 향상면에서 교수 주도형 강의방법보다 더 효과적이었다. 학습자 주도형 강의방법을 성공적으로 수행하기 위하여 실험 실습기자재를 갖춘 강의실에서 이론과 실험 실습의 통합강의를 하였으며, 학생들이 실험 실습을 통하여 충분한 경험을 습득하고 나서 실험 실습의 결과를 기초로 하여 교수가 제시하는 과제를 해결하는 과정에서 이론적 배경을 조사하도록 하였다. 과제는 학습목표를 달성하기 위한 실질적인 내용으로 제시하여 현장실무능력을 향상시키도록 하고 교수는 학생 스스로 문제를 해결하도록 도와주는 역할을 하는 것이 중요하다. 매시간 강의가 끝날 즈음에 학생들이 개별적으로 학업성취도, 질문사항 및 강의방법에 대한 설문지를 작성하도록 하고, 그 결과를 다음 강의에 적용함으로써 학생들의 수업에 대한 참여도와 교과목에 대한 관심도를 향상시킬 수 있다. 공학교육은 모든 교과목에서 현장실무능력, 상상력과 창의력 및 문제해결능력이 요구되므로, 교수 주도형 강의방법보다 학습자 주도형 강의방법을 도입하는 것이 바람직하다고 하겠다.

공학 기초설계 교과목에서 교수-학습 방법에 따른 수업 결과 분석 (Analysis of Teaching and Learning strategies in Basic Engineering Courses)

  • 본 연구는 공학 기초설계 교과목의 교수-학습 방법에 따른 수업 결과를 분석하고, 시사점을 도출하여 실제 기초 설계 수업에서 실행 가능한 효과적인 교수-학습 방법을 제안하는 것이다. 이를 위해 서울 소재 A대학교 공과대학 B프로그램 2학년 재학생 총 112명을 대상으로 동일한 교수자가 기초설계 교과목을 프로젝트 중심 수업과 문제 중심 수업으로 운영하여 두개 반의 수업 후 수업결과에 대한 전수조사를 실시하였다. 연구 결과, 문제 중심 수업은 프로젝트 중심 수업에 비해 수업만족도, 교과목 학습성과 달성도, 학업성취도에서 높은 점수를 나타냈으며, 이러한 결과는 통계적으로 유의미한 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구 결과에 기초하여 실제 기초설계 수업에서 실행 가능한 효과적인 교수-학습 전략을 제안하였다.
