  • A commutative ring R with unityis called EM-Hermite if for each a, b ∈ R there exist c, d, f ∈ R such that a = cd, b = cf and the ideal (d, f) is regular in R. We showed in this article that R is a PP-ring if and only if the idealization R(+)R is an EM-Hermite ring if and only if R[x]/(xn+1) is an EM-Hermite ring for each n ∈ ℕ. We generalize some results, and answer some questions in the literature.

  • The efficiency of electric machine is important due to increase of interest about energy saving. Single Phase Line Start Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor has high efficiency and power factor. LSPMSM offer a high efficiency as compared induction motor which are used in the home appliance. The analysis and design of LSPMSM is difficult because of unbalanced rotating magnetic field, nonlinear characteristics and rotor saliency. To consider these effects, F.E.M(Finite Element Methods) is coupled equivalent circuit methods. In this paper, a methods of analysis and design using F.E.M and equivalent circuit is represented.

  • In R.C. flat slab system, a brittle punching failure is a very fatal problem. But there is no generally well-defined answer to the problem and there are wide differences in current practical design codes. therefore, in this study, the factors affecting to punching failure mechanism have been studied to find out the punching shear behavior in R.C. flat slabs by comparing other investigations and practical design codes. Therefore, In this study, the factors affecting to punching failure mechanism have been studied to find out the punching shear behavior in R.C. flat slabs by comparing other investigations and practical design codes. The conclusions in this study are summarized as follows; 1) The factors affecting to punching shear are concrete strength ($f_\alpha$), ratio of column side length to slab depth (c/d), ratio of distance from column center to radial contraflexure (l/d), yield strength of steel ($f_y$), flexural reinforcement ratio ($\rho$) and size effects. 2) It is shown that th use of $\surd{f_{ck}}$in applying($f_\alpha$ to punching shear strength estimation may be more sensitive in high concrete strength. 3) The effects of l/d, ($f_y$, size are no clear in the punching failure mechanism, so in the future, it should be investigated with the effects of various composed load.

  • The main purpose of this paper is to propose a scheme of a proof of the nonsimpleness of the group $Homeo^{\Omega}$ ($D^2$, ${\partial}D^2$) of area preserving homeomorphisms of the 2-disc $D^2$. We first establish the existence of Alexander isotopy in the category of Hamiltonian homeomorphisms. This reduces the question of extendability of the well-known Calabi homomorphism Cal : $Diff^{\Omega}$ ($D^1$, ${\partial}D^2$)${\rightarrow}{\mathbb{R}}$ to a homomorphism ${\bar{Cal}}$ : Hameo($D^2$, ${\partial}D^2$)${\rightarrow}{\mathbb{R}}$ to that of the vanishing of the basic phase function $f_{\underline{F}}$, a Floer theoretic graph selector constructed in [9], that is associated to the graph of the topological Hamiltonian loop and its normalized Hamiltonian ${\underline{F}}$ on $S^2$ that is obtained via the natural embedding $D^2{\hookrightarrow}S^2$. Here Hameo($D^2$, ${\partial}D^2$) is the group of Hamiltonian homeomorphisms introduced by $M{\ddot{u}}ller$ and the author [18]. We then provide an evidence of this vanishing conjecture by proving the conjecture for the special class of weakly graphical topological Hamiltonian loops on $D^2$ via a study of the associated Hamiton-Jacobi equation.

  • We show that if $f \in L^{\infty}(D^n)$ satisfies Sf = rf for some r in the unit circle, where S is any convex combination of the iterations of Berezin operator, then f is n-harmonic. And we give some remarks and a conjecture on the space $M_2={f \in L^2(D^2, m \times m)\midBf = f$.

  • Let R be a 3!-torsion free noncommutative semiprime ring, and suppose there exists a Jordan derivation $D:R{\rightarrow}R$ such that $D^2(x)[D(x),x]=0$ or $[D(x),x]D^2(x)=0$ for all $x{\in}R$. In this case we have $f(x)^5=0$ for all $x{\in}R$. Let A be a noncommutative Banach algebra. Suppose there exists a continuous linear Jordan derivation $D:A{\rightarrow}A$ such that $D^2(x)[D(x),x]{\in}rad(A)$ or $[D(x),x]D^2(x){\in}rad(A)$ for all $x{\in}A$. In this case, we show that $D(A){\subseteq}rad(A)$.

  • The antibacterial efficacy of a mouthrinse(Denta Gargle) containing CPC(cetylpyridinium chloride), NaF and UDCA(ursodeoxycholic acid), on major periodontopathogens, was in vitro examined and compared with that of Listerine by a broth dilution method. The bacteria tested were Actinobacillus actinomycetemcomitans, Bacteroides forsythus, Fusobacterium nucleatum subsp. vincentii, Prevotella intermedia, Porphyromonas gingivalis and Treponema denticola. The growth of all the bacteria were completely inhibited by a 1-min exposure to the both mouthrinses. When diluted at 1:5 or more, all bacteria analyzed but P. intermedia were not inhibited by Listerine. In contrast, Denta Gargle showed highly increased maximum inhibitory dilutions(MID) against all periodontopathogens included in this study, with MIDs ranging from 5-fold(F. nucleatum) to 160-fold dilutions(P. intermedia). The MIDs against A. actinomycetemcomitans, B. forsythus, P. gingivalis and T. denticola. were 1:40, 1:80, 1:80 and 1:80, respectively.

  • We report 1/f noise PSD(Power Spectrum Density) of sub-100 nm MOSFETs as a function of various parameters such as HCS (Hot Carrier Stress), bias condition, temperature, device size and types of MOSFETs. The noise spectra of sub-100 nm devices showed Lorentzian-like noise spectra. We could check roughly the position of a dominant noise source by changing $V_{DS}$. With increasing measurement temperature, the 1/f noise PSD of 50 nm PMOS device decreases, but there is no decrease in the noise of NMOS device. RTN (Random Telegraph Noise) was measured from the device that shows clearly a Lorentzian-like noise spectrum in 1/f noise spectrum.
