  • Let D be an integral domain, S be a torsion-free grading monoid such that the quotient group of S is of type (0, 0, 0, ${\ldots}$), and D[S] be the semigroup ring of S over D. We show that D[S] is an H-domain if and only if D is an H-domain and each maximal t-ideal of S is a $v$-ideal. We also show that if $\mathbb{R}$ is the eld of real numbers and if ${\Gamma}$ is the additive group of rational numbers, then $\mathbb{R}[{\Gamma}]$ is not an H-domain.

  • Let R be a Noetherian domain. It is proved that $t$-dimR = 1 if and only if each (proper if R is not a valuation domain) $t$-linked overring D of R is of $t$-dimD = 1 if and only if each integrally closed $t$-linked overring of R is a Krull domain.

  • We propose an efficient method for separable symmetric linear filtering in the DCT domain. First, separable 2-D linear filtering is decomposed into the cascade of 1-D filtering in the DCT domain. We investigate special characteristics of DCT domain filtering matrices when the filter coefficients are symmetric. Then we present the DCT domain 2-D filtering method using these characteristics. The proposed method requires smaller number of multiplications including typical sparseness of DCT coefficients compared to previous DCT domain linear filtering methods. Also, the proposed method is composed of simple and regular operations, which would be appropriate for efficient VLSI implementation.

  • This paper compares frequency domain and time domain predictions from the ShipMo3D ship motion library with observed motions from model tests and sea trials. ShipMo3D evaluates hull radiation and diffraction forces using the frequency domain Green function for zero forward speed, which is a suitable approach for ships travelling at moderate speed (e.g., Froude numbers up to 0.4). Numerical predictions give generally good agreement with experiments. Frequency domain and linear time domain predictions are almost identical. Evaluation of nonlinear buoyancy and incident wave forces using the instantaneous wetted hull surface gives no improvement in numerical predictions. Consistent prediction of roll motions remains a challenge for seakeeping codes due to the associated viscous effects.

  • Let Cl(A) denote the class group of an arbitrary integral domain A introduced by Bouvier in 1982. Then Cl(A) is the ideal class (resp., divisor class) group of A if A is a Dedekind or a Prüfer (resp., Krull) domain. Let G be an abelian group. In this paper, we show that there is a ring of Krull type D such that Cl(D) = G but D is not a Krull domain. We then use this ring to construct a Prüfer ring of Krull type E such that Cl(E) = G but E is not a Dedekind domain. This is a generalization of Claborn's result that every abelian group is the ideal class group of a Dedekind domain.

  • Let D be an integral domain, ${\ast}$ a star-operation on D, and S a (not necessarily saturated) multiplicative subset of D. In this article, we prove the Cohen type theorem for $S-{\ast}_{\omega}$-principal ideal domains, which states that D is an $S-{\ast}_{\omega}$-principal ideal domain if and only if every nonzero prime ideal of D (disjoint from S) is $S-{\ast}_{\omega}$-principal.

  • 3D convolution is to stack multiple consecutive frames to form a cube, and then apply the 3D convolution kernel in the cube. In this structure, each feature map of the convolutional layer is connected to multiple adjacent sequential frames in the previous layer, thus capturing the motion information. However, due to the changes of pedestrian posture, motion and position, the convolution at the same place is inappropriate, and when the 3D convolution kernel is convoluted in the time domain, only time domain features of three consecutive frames can be extracted, which is not a good enough to get action information. This paper proposes an action recognition method based on feature fusion of 3D convolutional neural network. Based on the VGG16 network model, sending a pre-acquired optical flow image for learning, then get the time domain features, and then the feature of the time domain is extracted from the features extracted by the 3D convolutional neural network. Finally, the behavior classification is done by the SVM classifier.

  • A Programmable Automation Controller (PAC) has been developed by Turbotek Co., Ltd. The developed system has multi-domain functionality-including sequence control, motion control and HMI- on a single platform. The PAC also has a common development platform for the design and integration of multi-domain automated systems. Since hardware of the developed system has modular architectures, performance and specification of the controller are determined by combination of specific modules. The developed system employs de facto standards such as OPC interface that allow users to easily exchange data as part of networked multi-vendor systems.
