Second, parent-child conflict of both mothers and fathers in upper elementary school students partially mediated the relation between interparental conflict and overt aggression. Higher levels of interparental conflict resulted in higher levels of parent-child conflict, and the subsequently higher frequency of overt aggression in upper elementary school students.

  • One of the most important things in channel of distribution is the management of intrachannel conflict. In this study, 1 tried to find out the major sources of conflict among distribution channel members of gasolin industry and home electronics industry which have two types of distribution channels - sales branch and agency. I also investigated how the level of conflict influences the business performance of the channel member. The results of the study showed that the imbalance of power, nonfulfillment of roles by manufacturers, nonfulfillment of roles by dealer, divergence in perceptions, intrachannel communication problem have positive relation but role clarity has negative relation with conflict. The results also indicate that the more power supplier exerts upon dealer, the less supplier and dealer practice their roles, and the more communications problem there is, there will be more conflict between channel members. I also analyzed the relationship between conflict and business performance and the result came out as expected: the more conflict there is the less business performance. Some difference was found between sales branch and agency on that aspect. Managerial implications and limitations of the study were also discussed.

It is thought that there is a difference of viw\ew between mother-in-law and daughter-in-law about the possesion of economic dominance and many conflicts rises because of economic dominance. but the study in 1985 than 1974 suggests the possibility of conflict meditator because mother-in-law and daughter-in-law do homework dependently in the practice of power. In affection structure, the chief dissatisfaction toward daughter-in-law showes the change in time. In 1974, there was no affection and respect. In 1985, the rate of doing without consultation was high. Also, the lack of communication of mother-in-law and daughter-in-law is the cause of conflict. 2. Indicating behavior the rate of thinking alone if high in both sides. • This study examined the influences of parent-child conflict and conflict resolution on behavior problems experienced in early adolescence by both boys and girls, and investigated whether conflict resolution had any moderating effects upon the relation between parent-child conflict and these behavior problems. The participants of this study were 397 first and second graders (193 boys and 204 girls) from three middle schools located in Seoul and Gyoung-gi province. To measure the research variables, the Korean-Youth Self Report by Oh et al. (2010), the short version of Conflict Behavior Questionnaire (Homes, 2012), and the Thomas Kilman Conflict Mode Instrument (Cha & Cheon, 2011) were used. The data were analyzed by means of descriptive statistics, t-test, multiple regression analysis, and hierarchical regression analysis. The results indicated that both for boys and girls, the level of parent-child conflict increased the levels of both externalizing and internalizing behavior problems whereas conflict resolution had no significant effect on behavior problems. In addition, in the case of boys only, conflict resolution moderated the effect of father-child conflict on internalizing behavior problems.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the relation between the levels of cognitive conflict and students' conceptual change. In this study, 30 Korean high school students were selected from 450 10th graders by examining the pretest results. Two different strategies were used to induce cognitive conflicts in students, an anomalous or conflict situations; demonstrations and logical arguments against students' preconception. After arousing the students' cognitive conflict, the level of cognitive conflict was rated. Pretest, post-test and delayed post-test were administered to check the conceptual change. The tests consisted of 5 items in mechanics and electricity, respectively. Therefore, the demonstration method showed effective conceptual change, more than the logical argument method did. Students changed their conceptions more easily and frequently in the area of mechanics than in electricity. Students who showed higher levels of cognitive conflict indicated more positive conceptual change than those who showed lower conflict levels. 59 cases (56%) out of 105 who experienced high levels of cognitive conflict were changed into scientific conceptions one month later; however only 16 cases (35%) out of 46 who experienced low levels of cognitive conflict changed into scientific conceptions. Students who experienced higher levels of cognitive conflict showed higher rates of conceptual change. It could be concluded that designing instruction to induce cognitive conflict is a useful strategy to promote conceptual change.
