Purpose: The purpose of this study was to understand the parenting stress and health promotion behavior of working women, and to investigate the mediating effect of supporting resources. Supporting resources were set as social support of spouse and community, and institutional support of the organization to which the subject belongs based on previous studies and an ecological system theory. Methods: The participants were composed of 214 female workers residing in 17 cities and provinces nationwide and having at least one child aged 1~12 years old. Data were collected online from February 19 to February 28, 2021. The collected data were analyzed using the SPSS 20.0 program to understand the level and correlation of the general characteristics and major variables, and to test the mediating effect, after controlling the variables significantly from univariate analysis, step regression analysis was performed. Results: Among the supporting resources, the mediating effect of social support of spouse and community was statistically significant. Conclusion: These findings suggest that it is necessary to seek ways to increase the social support of working women's spouses and people around them in order to increase the health promotion behavior of working women.
Purpose: This study investigated the factors influencing the risk of relapse in community-dwelling adults with alcohol use disorder. Methods: This study included 122 community-dwelling individuals with alcohol use disorder who were receiving outpatient treatment at a mental health treatment hospital or were enrolled in a treatment program at the Community Addition Management Center in Gyeonggi Province. Data were collected using self-administered questionnaires from July to August 2020. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, independent t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and multiple regression analysis using SPSS 25.0. Results: Abstinence self-efficacy (𝛽=-.56, p<.001), social support (𝛽=-.35, p=.009), female sex (𝛽=11.29, p=.015), and a family history of alcoholism (𝛽=9.41, p=.026) were significant predictors of relapse risk, accounting for 56% of the variance (F=12.68, p<.001). Conclusion: The findings of this study suggest that abstinence self-efficacy and social support are pivotal in reducing risk of relapse in individuals with alcohol use disorder. Therefore, relevant and effective interventions focusing on enhancing abstinence self-efficacy and social support are required.
Objectives: The purpose of this study was to identify factors(perceived health and social support) affecting social capital formation of the elderly. Methods: Samples consisted of 184 people aged over 65 years old in one county of Kyungsangbukdo. Data were analyzed with t-test, ANOVA and regression analysis. Results: First, social support(both emotional support and instrumental support) were significantly different by economic status. Secondly, regression analysis showed that perceived health affected a positive influence on social capital in Model1, which analyzed only perceived health. However, Model2, which analyzed perceived health and social support(emotional support, instrumental support) at the same time, showed that only instrumental support affected social capital formation. Conclusions: It was suggested to develop customized health promotion and job creation are required for social capital formation of the elderly.

The purpose of this study is to research support systems of the community child care services for optimum work-family balance. For this purpose, the questionnaire to be completed combined four areas: the workplace, school, community and home. Then questions concerning demographic factors and community-related aspects were analysed for this article. After analyzing 197 questionnaires, supplementary questions were asked, by interview to 10 samples. Full-time working wives (eg. working from 9am to 6pm) who have 1 or more children under 10 years old, living in Seoul and Gyeonggi province were collected as samples. The results were as follows: First, child care from family and relatives, and community services was properly used during the week, but dual working parents took complete charge of child care on Saturdays. Second, emergency child care was usually provided by the family, while relatives and community child care services were used less. Third, parents spent 17% of their monthly income on total child care expenditure. Fourth, community child care services were not used often, but the level of satisfaction with them was very high. Finally, they used relatives' services for safety reasons and community services for location, and only based on informed decisions. Therefore, Saturday child care programmes need to be initiated to help physically and mentally tired parents, with more general provision of positive and diverse public support systems.
This study aims to verify the effect of the rural community living home use through an analysis of depression among the elderly women who live alone in the rural community living home. A survey was conducted from July to September 2015 through direct interviews with 236 elderly people who live alone in community living homes at 52 locations across the country. The main results of this study are as follows. First, social support from family/relatives and neighbors/friends was found not to affect depression in the elderly living in community living homes. Second, satisfaction with health status, economic status and life appeared to affect their depression. This indicates the need for various measures to increase the subjective satisfaction of health. Third, when the demographic characteristics, social support and personal satisfaction were controlled, the period of use, satisfaction with use and operational service/no service were proven to have an impact on depression in the elderly living alone in community living homes. In other words, since the level of satisfaction with community living homes is very high and this has a positive impact on the elderly living in community living homes, it is desirable to have an ongoing policy for the homes to be utilized as important welfare resources. Based on these findings, this study proposes improvements in the user experience and programs and services offered for rural community living home business programs.

In this study there was the analysis of government incentives and resident support of public crematoriums, typically identified in Korea as a locally unwanted land use (LULUs), in the metropolitan area. The study looked at what government programs would be potential incentives for allowing the crematoriums to exist in metropolitan communities. Such programs were diverse, with projects focused on: enhancing resident welfare, increasing resident income, funeral facilities and management consignment, community oriented programs, education, funding, and others. Among them, it was found that residents were most in support of programs for enhancing resident welfare and increasing income among residents. In order to resolve the complexities of community support for LULUs and government incentives to shift public perception of cremation, three main policies are proposed. First, it would be necessary to compliment additional project support policies which provide medical services, resident prefered projects, and improvement of substandard housing. Second, it would be important to establish ordinances concretely identifying residential support projects based on community needs assessment. Lastly, it would be of the government's best interest to build policies for resident supported projects that reflect local conditions and the residents' demands for allowing non-preferred facilities to be built, and then to analyze the economic feasibility of these demands.
