This research aims to analyze the expressive characteristics of the fashion illustration in various fashion products such as clothing, accessories, other fashion products, and magazine advertisements. Targeting 223 items of products that had adjoined fashion illustration from 2000 to 2008, which had been collected through from magazines and web sites using the fashion illustration expression categorization (expression technique drawing style, body expression, expression image, attaching method to product) based on the theoretical background and the general trends by products. In frequency analysis results, painting technique and graphic technique were of great importance in the expression technique, and shading drawing and contour drawing were of great importance over all product groups for the drawing style. In body expression, exaggerative expression was the highest; simple expression and realistic expression were of great importance over all product groups relatively. In particular, there was a very distinct difference by fashion products in expression image. Humor image has the most importance in fashion clothing and fashion accessories. Casual image is the most important in magazine advertisements, and feminine image is the most important for other fashion products. Lastly, in attaching method to products, finished goods printings made up the largest proportion over all products. In fashion clothing, textile printings was the highest in proportions. Stitch in fashion accessory, the original form of commodity in other fashion products. This study will become a very valuable source in fashion products development using fashion illustrations.
The study aims to examine consumer awareness of green fashion products and demographic characteristics by subdividing environmentally conscious consumers of such products in the current domestic fashion market. It then compares the result with the characteristics of environmentally conscious consumers studied by 1999 in order to understand the trend of the consumer group in the fashion market and to promote the use of green fashion products. Marketing strategies for green fashion products suggested by the study are as follows: First, fashion firms are required to develop and publicize shops selling recycled or second-hand clothing that environmentally conscious consumers show constant interest. For instance, clothing patterns may be developed to enable consumers to make their kids' clothing easily at home, and various garments made from recycled materials may stimulate environmentally conscious consumers' desire to buy. Particularly, advanced technologies should be developed and publicized to manufacture garments that can excel existing ones made of normal materials in their features in order to satisfy consumers' interest in clothing made from recycled PET bottles. In addition, various natural dyes should be developed to decrease water pollution. Second, it seems imperative to develop clothing made of recycled knitted apparel that attracts consumers' interest more than ever, fashionable multi-purpose clothing, and environmentally friendly materials. As the use of natural fur or leather can cause the endangerment of wild animals and the destruction of the ecosystem, synthetic fur or leather may be used to develop sophisticated products with the same texture as real ones to attract environmentally conscious consumers' interest.

This study focuses on how to improve the use of the sustainable clothing through consignment clothing Stores. This study finds factors for activating consignment clothing stores that can help expand and implement the clothing consumption culture of Korean consumers towards sustainable clothing behavior. The objectives of this study are as follows. First, we identify consumer's sustainable apparel behavior through an in-depth interview with a manager who is currently working in a consignment-selling apparel company in Seoul. Second, we analyze factors for activating a consignment clothing store that help enable the implementation of concrete action plans into Korean culture and towards a sustainable clothing behavior. The study results on consignment clothing stores serve as service factors. First, it increases the participation of consumers in the mindset of secondhand apparel. Second, it secures the quality of used apparel products. Third, it can be seen by expanding the market channel. There is a need to rethink the specialty of apparel products in order to secure the quality of used apparel products and appraisal of experienced apprentices of commodity appraisers.
This study tried to research on clothing styles of show hostess in the cable television home-shopping network program. Especially, show hostess's clothing styles were classified into 5 sections according to selling products, that is baby goods, insured goods, underwear, bedclothes and beauty goods. item is examined 7 levels by texture, color, clothing item, fashion image, fashion trend, fashion type, and fashion silhouette. The results showed that significant correlations between show host's clothing and selling products. The another findings of this study is that show hostess's clothing is aimed at the taste of main consumer such as housewife. Conseguently this study reaffirms the importance of the shopping hostess's clothing influnce according to selling products's characteristics.

This study investigates the combined effect of clothing interest and fashion innovativeness on dimensions of scent quality (pleasantness, intensity, familiarity, and congruency) to understand which dimensions of scent quality have significant positive effects on the appeal of scented apparel products. The survey data were statistically analyzed. A structural equation modeling using LISREL was conducted to test the model. Results indicate that clothing interest has a significant impact on scent quality attitude. Positive evaluations of the product were most strongly influenced by the pleasantness quality of the scent. Intensity and familiarity were factors that affected the approach of consumer responses toward scented products. Congruency was not a significant scent quality in generating positive responses for apparel products among consumers.
The demand for personalized products and service of apparel product has increased dramatically. In order to acquire a personalized apparel product, consumers may have to sacrifice more expense or time. The purpose of this study was to investigate various personalization strategies in apparel business and to identify antecedents that influence the process. Clothing involvement and two price related variables (clothing expense and willingness to pay more) were included in the study as antecedents. Four personalization strategies were included in the study: design selection, size customization, in-store service and promotion personalization. For an empirical study, a conceptual model was designed and research questionnaire was developed. A measure of personalization of apparel shopping was developed based on existing scale items of prior research and a pilot study. Data from 766 men and women in their twenties to forties were used for statistical analysis. Structural Equation Modeling was used for the data analysis. Results indicated that the conceptual model was a good fit to data. Structural paths indicated that there was significant influence of clothing involvement on design selection and sales promotion personalization strategies. Involved consumers spent more on chothing products and were likely to pay more on personalized products and services. Monthly clothing expense influenced size customization significantly. It also had negative influence on service related personalization strategies. Consumers were willing to pay more when it comes to product related personalization strategies such as design and size but not necessarily to service related strategies. This study was an attempt to provide an in-depth and synthesized approach on consumer attitudes toward personalization of apparel products.

Disposable protective coveralls that cover the entire face and body are essential for operations in contaminative or dangerous environments. This research studied disposable protective coveralls on Korean market in order to improve the products that agricultural workers wear. We investigated the size specifications of 22 disposable protective coverall products sold in Korean markets and analyzed how well the size specifications cover Koreans' sizes by comparing and analyzing the size specifications with Korean body measurements and Korean standards for protective clothing. We analyzed the consistency, regularity, and fitness to body measurements of Koreans for each size by measuring the sizes of 15 different parts for 22 products each. Current disposable protective coverall products for the Korean market are unsuitable for Korean body measurements, especially women's. It was expected that wearers would be unable to choose products that fit their bodies well just by the offered size specifications due to a lack of regularity between the measurements for each size. In this result, it was assumed that the development of KS standards and the coverall pattern that reflect the body measurements of Koreans are needed.

This study aims to collect Big Data related to DIY clothing, analyze the results on a year-by-year basis, understand consumers' perceptions, the status, and reality of DIY clothing. The reference period for the evaluation of DIY clothing trends was set from 2012 to 2022. The data in this study was collected and analyzed using Textom, a Big Data solution program certified as a Good Software by the Telecommunications Technology Association (TTA). For the analysis of fabric-related DIY products, the keyword was set to "DIY clothing", and for data cleansing following collection, the "Espresso K" module was employed. Also, via data collection on a year-by-year basis, a total of 11 lists were generated and the collected data was analyzed by period. The following are the findings of this study's data collection on DIY clothing. The total number of keywords collected over a period of ten years on search engines "Naver" and "Google" between January 1, 2012 and December 31, 2022 was 16,315, and data trends by period indicate a continuous upward trend. In addition, a keyword analysis was conducted to analyze TF-IDF (Term Frequency-Inverse Document Frequency), a statistical measure that reflects the importance of a word within data, and the relationship with N-gram, an analysis of the correlation concerning the relationship between words. Using these results, it was possible to evaluate the popularity and growing tendency of DIY clothing products in conjunction with the evolving social environment, as well as the desire to explore DIY trends among consumers. Therefore, this study is valuable in that it provides preliminary data for DIY clothing research by analyzing the status and reality of DIY products, and furthermore, contributes to the development and production of DIY clothing.

This study investigates the relevance among the clothing purchase motivations, selection criteria, customer satisfaction of collaborated fashion products, and conspicuous consumption by adults located in the cities of Seoul and Incheon who have experience in collaborated fashion product shopping. The results are as follows: 1. Conspicuous consumption was identified with three factors: symbol of position, pursuit of fashion brand/quality, keeping up appearance. Customers were segmented into two subdivisions of a lowly involved group with conspicuous consumption and a highly involved group with conspicuous consumption. 2. Clothing purchase motivations with collaborated fashion products were identified with two factors of esthetical value and reasonable ostentation. Selection criteria with collaborated fashion products were identified with the two factors of extrinsic attributes and intrinsic attributes. Customer satisfaction was identified with one factor. 3. Highly involved group toward conspicuous consumptionpursued more into esthetics value, reasonable ostentation and considered more into extrinsic attributes through collaborated fashion products than the lowly involved groups. Customer satisfaction of a highly involved group toward conspicuous consumption was higher than the lowly involved group. 4. The symbol of position had a positive relationship and the keeping up appearance had a negative relationship in regards to both the relevance of conspicuous consumption and the clothing purchase motivations, selection criteria, and customer satisfaction of collaborated fashion products.

The purposes of the present study were to investigate the impact of a apparel brand and an ingredient brand on evaluation(perceived quality, favorable attitude, purchase intention) of apparel products, and to examine the differences in evaluations toward apparel products allied with ingredient brands between groups divided by product knowledge and leisure involvement. The subjects were 235 men and women aged 20 to 40. Two-by-two factorial design were employed. A series of ANOVA were used to determine if significant differences existed in evaluations of apparel products. There was a significant interaction effect of an apparel brand and an ingredient brand on evaluations of apparel products. Empirical results showed that ingredient brands would improve the consumers' perceived quality, favorable attitude and purchase intention toward apparel products. In addition, the results indicated that the respondents that had high leisure involvement and high product knowledge were more likely to evaluate apparel products based on the ingredient brand of the products. However, the respondents that had low leisure involvement and product knowledge were more likely to evaluate apparel products based on the host brand of the products.
