SNA(Social Network Analysis)를 활용한 코로나19 전후의 가정과교육 유튜브 콘텐츠 변화 분석 (Social Network Analysis of Changes in YouTube Home Economics Education Content Before and After COVID-19)

  • This paper presents a social network analysis of changes in Home Economics education content loaded on YouTube before and after the outbreak of COVID-19. From January 1, 2008 to June 30, 2021, a basic analysis was conducted of 761 Home Economics education videos loaded on YouTube, using NetMiner 4.3 to analyze important keywords and the centrality of video titles and full texts. Before COVID-19, there were 164 Home Economics education videos posted on YouTube, increasing significantly to 597 following the emergence of the pandemic. In both periods, there was more middle school content than high school content. The content in the child-family field was the most, and the main keywords were youth and family. Before COVID-19, a performance evaluation indicated that the proportion of student content was high, whereas after the outbreak of the disease, teacher content increased significantly due to the effect of distance learning. However, compared with video use, the self-expression and participation of users were lower in both periods. The centrality analysis indicated that in the title, 'family' exhibited a high degree of both centrality and eigenvector centrality over the entire period. Degree centrality of the video title was found to be high in the order of class, online, family, management, etc. after the outbreak of COVID-19, and the connection of keywords was strong overall. Eigenvector centrality indicated that career, search, life, and design were influential keywords before COVID-19, while class, youth, online, and development were influential keywords after COVID-19.

노트 필기를 사용한 온라인 학습이 학업성취도에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Online Learning Using Note-Taking on Academic Achievement)

  • 본 연구는 공과대학 학생들이 온라인 학습을 진행하였을 때 노트 필기를 병행하며 학습을 하는 경우에 대해 학습 효과 및 만족도, 집중력에 미치는 영향에 대해 연구하였다. 온라인 학습에서 학습 도구로 사용하기 위한 양식으로 코넬노트를 사용하였다. 설문 조사 결과, 학생들은 온라인 학습에서의 노트 필기가 수업 참여의 성실성, 적극성, 집중력에 도움이 되는 것으로 파악되었다. 통계 분석 결과, 노트 필기 제출 횟수와 학업성취도와의 양의 상관관계를 확인하였으며 단일/다중 회귀분석을 통해서 노트 필기 제출 횟수와 학업 성취도가 통계적으로 유의미함을 확인하였다. 다중 회귀 분석 결과, 평균적으로 학생들의 노트 필기 제출 횟수가 1회 증가할 경우, 이는 중간고사 점수 0.253점, 기말고사 점수 0.287점 상승에 통계적으로 유의미한 것을 확인하였다. 부트스트래핑 회귀분석을 실시한 결과에서도 필기노트 제출 횟수가 성적과도 유의미한 결과를 얻어 단일/다중회귀 분석의 결과가 적정함을 확인하였다. 온라인 상에서 강의를 수강하며 노트를 필기하고 온라인 제출함으로써 온라인 수업에서 학습의 질을 높일 수 있는 수업 전략이 될 수 있음을 확인하였다.

고등학교 '식품안전과 건강' 워크북 활용 수업의 효과 분석 (Effectiveness of the 'Food Safety and Health' Workbook for High-school Students)

  • The purpose of this study was implementing the high-school 'Food Safety and Health' curriculum using the workbook, and to evaluate the educational impact on, and satisfaction of student who participated in class. A total of 109 lessons were undertaken in home economics classes by referring to the 'Food Safety and Health' workbook for 1,154 students attending seven high schools located in seven cities and provinces across the Korea. In order to examine the effects of classes by referring to workbooks, pre- and post-evaluations were conducted by devising a questionnaire about dietary behavior associated with food safety, creative problem-solving abilities, community capacities, and social cooperation capacities. The results of the analysis of the collected data from 674 students who participated in the pre- and post-evaluations are as follows. First, according to the results of the paired t-test conducted to examine the effects of using the workbook in classes on dietary behavior, significant positive changes were observed in the dietary behavior related to food safety, creative problem-solving skills, community consciousness, and social cooperation capabilities. Second, as a result of the students' evaluation of classes by referring to the 'Food Safety and Health' workbook, both satisfaction and interest in the class using the workbook were high, and the difficulty level was deemed to be appropriate. Additionally, it was found that the students actively participated in learning activities. The reason for this appears to be that the aforementioned workbook consisted of various student activities such as experiments, practical exercises, and group activities aimed at strengthening the link between life and education, thus enabling increased student participation.

실과(기술·가정) 교과 '가족' 영역 메타버스 ZEP 플랫폼 기반 교수·학습 과정안 개발 (Development of Teaching and Learning Process Plans Based on the Use of the Metaverse ZEP Platform in Practical Arts (Technology & Home Economics) Focusing on the "Family Life" Unit)

  • The purpose of this study is to design and develop a Metaverse ZEP platform-based teaching and learning process plan by selecting learning topics that are commonly dealt with among the core concepts of the "family" area of practical (technical and home) subjects. To this end, a teaching and learning process plan was developed through planning, Metaverse platform design, expert review, and revision stages. The Metaverse ZEP "Open Class Day" platform, a virtual learning space, was created and developed to further utilize EduTech programs, such as Padlet, Mentimeter, Jamboard, Miricanvas, and Spatial. The teaching and learning process plan developed in this study consists of a total of seven sessions, including approaching EduTech, Changing Families, Exploring Our Family, and Counseling Centers 1, 2, and 3. Among them, Geumji Counseling Center 1, 2, and 3 was designed as a class in which parents and children participate together in open classes using the ZEP platform. This platform can be used as part of parent classes as well as to encourage online participation in the open classes held periodically at each individual school. In terms of the content validity ratio (CVR) of the developed teaching and learning process verified through five experts, 12 out of 15 questions had a CVR of 1, while the remaining three questions had a CVR of 0.6. The three questions with lower validity were revised and supplemented.

학습자 중심 수업 운영의 관점에서 초중등 교사와 학생이 본 현행 과학 교과서의 문제점 분석 (Analysis of problems of current science textbooks perceived by teachers and students in view of learner-centered classroom)

  • 교육의 효과를 높이기 위해서는 학생들이 수업에 능동적으로 참여하는 것이 중요하다. 본 연구는 과학 수업 시간에 학습자의 수업 참여도에 영향을 미치는 주된 요인 가운데 하나로 교과서를 꼽고, 현행 과학 교과서가 학생들의 수업 참여를 촉진시키기 위한 도구로서 어떠한 문제점이 있는지 파악한 뒤 개선 방안을 모색하고자 실시되었다. 학습자 중심 수업 운영을 위해 과학 교과서가 갖추어야 할 요건과 현재 과학 교과서가 가진 문제점을 알아보기 위한 설문지를 제작하고 초, 중학교 과학교사 99명과 학생 821명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 설문 결과 학생들은 현재 과학 교과서의 문제점으로 설명이 부족하고, 어려운 단어가 많으며, 문장이 복잡하여 이해하기 어렵고, 재미가 없다 등을 꼽았고, 과학 교사들은 학습 분량이 많고, 지식중심으로 기술되어 있으며, 실생활 연계가 부족하고, 스토리가 없는 등의 문제점을 꼽았다. 결론적으로 학습자 참여를 활성화하기 위해서 과학 교과서가 개선되어야 할 점으로 일상생활과의 연계를 강화하고, 학생 활동을 늘이며, 학생들의 수준에 맞는 단어나 문장을 구사하고, 스토리를 강화하고, 학생들이 자신들의 이해 정도를 확인할 수 있는 기회를 충분히 제공할 것을 제안하였다.

후원 활동에 참여하는 사람들의 일반적 특징과 그들의 후원 노력에 영향을 미치는 요인들에 관한 연구 (A Study of Predicting the Degree of Donors' Philanthropic Effort in Nonprofit Social Welfare Arena)

  • 본 연구는 민간 복지 자원의 중요한 한 축으로 기능하는 일반 시민들의 후원 활동과 관련하여 이러한 활동을 수행하는 사람들의 일반적인 특징과 후원 행동 및 그들의 후원 노력(philanthropic effort)의 수준을 파악하고 기술하는 것 그리고 후원 활동에 참여하는 사람들이 나타내는 각기 다른 수준의 후원 노력(philanthropic effort)을 예측하고 설명하는 변수들이 무엇인지를 파악하는 것에 연구의 기본 관심을 둔다. 본 연구는 후원 활동을 하는 사람들 중에서 안정된 직업을 갖는 사람들, 고등 교육을 받은 사람들, 기독교를 종교로 갖는 사람들, 기혼자들의 비중이 큼을 보여준다. 후원활동의 동기에서는 "joy of giving"과 같은 내적 동기를 갖는 사람들의 비중이 큼을 보여준다. 그리고 후원금 활용 신뢰도 및 후원 기관에 대한 만족도 그리고 후윈 활동에의 참여의 적극성 모두에서 대다수가 상당히 긍정적인 이해를 하고 있음을 보여준다. 후원 지속 기간에서는 3년과 4년을 중심으로 정적으로 분포되어 있음이, 그리고 후원금 규모에서도 월 2만원을 중심으로 정적으로 분포되어 있음이 관찰된다. 후원 활동에 참여하는 사람들이 나타내는 개인 후원 노력 비율은 1.2%를 중심으로 정적으로 분포되어 있고 이러한 후원 노력은 소득에 의해 가장 많은 설명을 할 수 있는 데 그 형태가 미국에서의 조사 결과와 마찬가지로 U의 모습을 갖고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 후원 노력이라는 주제에 대한 연구와 논의의 발전을 위해 중요한 기초적 자료가 될 수 있을 것으로 생각된다.

제5차 고등학교 교육과정의 환경관련 교재분석 및 학생의 환경교육 실태 분석 연구

  • The international environmental activity and environmental education began in 1970's. Environmental education in Korea was emphasized since the Forth National Curriculum. The Environmental Curriculum was regarded as one of the most important part in the Sixth National Curriculum in Korea. Environment-related reference texts of Elementary school were already developed. Soon, 'Environment' of middle school and 'Environmental Science' of high school will be developed. The purpose of this study were to analyse environment-related texts in the Fifth National Curriculum and to measure how much environmental education has achieved. As a environmental text for regular class, selected the environmental part in 'Science Part 1' and as environment-related reference text, 'Survival and Environment'. The environmental part of 'Science Part 1' was unit [Life and Environment]. According to the analysis of objectives, most of unit objectives were not stated in a detailed and precise manner. When the goals of environmental education were divided into four fields as follows, knowledge and information, skill, thinking and attitude, behavior and participation, unit objectives were mostly emphasized on knowledge and information of environment, exactly 44.5% of unit objectives and 89.6% of subunit objectives. The degree of relationship between unit objectives and contents was low. All the Check up-problems were about knowledge and information of environment. Environment-related reference text, 'Survival and Environment' was the only reference text for high school students in Korea and was organized in the form of the regular curriculum text. It was developed in Korean Education Development, Center with support of Korean Environmental Ministry in 1990. According to the analysis of 'Survival and Environment', the objectives of units and subunits were less stressed on knowledge and information than those of unit [Life and Environment] in the environmental part of 'Science Part 1' On the other hand, they were a little more stressed on skill, thinking and attitude, behavior and participation. And fifteen of all the seventy subunit objectives were not related with contents. In organization, this text included Thinking problems, Experiments and Inquiries, Reading, Developed studies and Check up-problem etc. It was remarkable that Inquiries leaded to individual activities and Developed studies to group discussions or individual inquiries. And as Check-up problems were presented as a form of activities, students could achieve many various objectives at the same time by solving one problem. To measure the achievement of environmental education by questionnaire, 497 high school students in total were selected from five different schools. Scores in subtest 'behavior and participation' and subtest 'thinking and attitudes' were 13.19 and 18.18, respectively. Actually, most students had a positive thinkings and attitudes in their hearts about environmental problems, but many of them actually did not take actions to solve environmental problems and to protect environment. Scores in subtest 'knowledge and information' and subtest 'skill' were 10.76 and 10.81, respectively. The higher the score students got in 'knowledge and information', the higher the score in 'skill'. It implies that learning of skills is based on learning of knowledges and informations about environment has not always ensured positive thinkings and attitudes or active behaviors and participations to solve environmental problem.

토론식 수업에서 온라인 토론의 참여적 차원과 상호작용 차원에 관한 탐색적 연구 (Exploratory Study on the Levels of Participation and Interaction in Online Debate of the Classes with Discussion Session)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 사이버 대학 일반 교과목 토론식 수업의 온라인 토론과정에서 학습자들의 논제유형에 따른 참여적 차원과 상호작용 차원을 양적 질적으로 분석하고 그 효과성을 탐색하여 활성화 방안을 제안하는 데에 있다. 이를 위하여 온라인 토론방의 메시지 수와 양상을 양적으로 분석하였고 사후 설문을 추가로 진행하여 토론의 상호작용 요소들과 효과에 대한 인식을 살펴보았다. 제시된 두 논제유형은 의견제시형 논제와 목표 제시형 논제였다. 각 논제에의 참여적 차원을 살펴본 결과, 선행 연구와는 달리 의견제시형 논제 참여도가 높았다. 그 이유를 설문으로 탐색하였고 그 결과를 토대로 교수자가 온라인 토론의 논제를 제시할 때 참여자들의 성향을 참고하여야 함을 제안하였다. 또한 사후 설문을 통하여 상호작용에 대한 보다 심화된 결과들을 제시하였다. 설문에서 학습자들은 교수자의 강의와 강의자료 의존도가 매우 높은 것을 보여주었고 토론을 준비하면서 다양한 자료들과 상호작용하고 있음을 보여주었다. 이외에도 토론은 학습자들의 논증적 사고, 글쓰기, 해당 교과목 지식의 습득과 심화에도 도움을 주는 요소라는 인식을 나타냈다. 이를 바탕으로 본고는 교수자의 교육적 역할을 강조하고, 원격교육의 시대에 온라인 토론의 교육적 효과가 각 교과목마다 활성화되기를 제안하였다.

초·중등 학부모 대상 수학교과 인식 및 요구 조사 (Analysis of Recognition and Needs for Parents in Elementary, Middle, and High Schools for Mathematics Education)

  • 본 연구는 학부모의 수학에 대한 인식이 자녀의 수학학습에 영향을 미치는 근원적 요소가 될 수 있다는 선행 연구들을 바탕으로 학부모의 수학 교과에 대한 가치인식과 만족도 등에 관한 내용을 조사하였으며, 그 결과를 바탕으로 학교 수학교육 및 자녀 교육과 학부모 교육에 대한 시사점을 도출하고자 하였다. 본 연구의 연구방법은 전국의 학부모를 대상으로 무작위 추출하였으며, 초등학생 학부모 133명, 중·고등학생 학부모 411명에 따른 학부모의 응답 결과를 비교 분석 하였다. 설문 결과 초등학생과 중·고등학생 모두 학부모가 수학 교과의 가치 인식이 긍정적일수록 자녀의 수학 교과에 대한 가치 인식도 긍정적이고, 학부모의 수학 관련 교육 참여도가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 교수학습 활동에 대한 인식 측면에서 교육 프로그램 참여 의지는 중·고등학생 학부모가 초등학생 학부모보다 낮은 것으로 나타났으며, 수학 교과 전반에 대한 만족도 또한 초등학생 학부모가 더 높은 것으로 나타났다. 또한 학부모들은 미래 신기술을 활용한 수업 및 인공지능이나 데이터 분석 능력을 함양하기 위한 수학교육의 필요성을 인식하고 있는 것으로 판단할 수 있었다. 이는 교육전문가들이 향후 진지하게 고민해보아야 할 과제로서 학부모가 참여하는 수학교육의 확대, 미래 수학학습을 위한 수학 학습 환경의 조성, 수학교육 관련하여 다양한 학부모 교육의 필요성을 제안하였다.

문학텍스트와 문학적 해석 -「스페인 문학사」를 통한 모델 연구 (Literary Text and the Cultural Interpretation - A Study of the Model of 「History of Spanish Literature」)

  • Instructing "History of Spanish Literature" class faces various types of limits and obstacles, just as other foreign language literature history classes do. Majority of students enter the university without having any previous spanish learning experience, which means, for them, even the interpretation of the text itself can be difficult. Moreover, the fact that "History of Spanish Literature" is traced all the way back to the Middle Age, students encounter even more difficulties and find factors that make them feel the class is not interesting. To list several, such factors include the embarrassment felt by the students, antiquated expressions, literature texts filled with deliberately broken grammars, explanations written in pretentious vocabularies, disorderly introduction of many different literary works that ignores the big picture, in which in return, reduces academic interest in students, and finally general lack of interest in literate itself due to the fact that the following generation is used to visual media. Although recognizing such problem that causes the distortion of the value of our lives and literature is a very imminent problem, there has not even been a primary discussion on such matter. Thus, the problem of what to teach in "History of Spanish Literature" class remains unsolved so far. Such problem includes wether to teach the history of authors and literature works, or the chronology of the text, the correlations, and what style of writing to teach first among many, and how to teach to read with criticism, and how to effectively utilize the limited class time to teach. However, unfortunately, there has not been any sorts of discussion among the insructors. I, as well, am not so proud of myself either when I question myself of how little and insufficiently did I contemplate about such problems. Living in the era so called the visual media era or the crisis of humanity studies, now there is a strong need to bring some change in the education of literature history. To suggest a solution to make such necessary change, I recommended to incorporate the visual media, the culture or custom that students are accustomed to, to the class. This solution is not only an attempt to introduce various fields to students, superseding the mere literature reserch area, but also the result that reflects the voice of students who come from a different cultural background and generation. Thus, what not to forget is that the bottom line of adopting a new teaching method is to increase the class participation of students and broaden the horizon of the Spanish literature. However, the ultimate goal of "History of Spanish Literature" class is the contemplation about humanity, not the progress in linguistic ability. Similarly, the ultimate goal of university education is to train students to become a successful member of the society. To achieve such goal, cultural approach to the literature text helps not only Spanish learning but also pragmatic education. Moreover, it helps to go beyond of what a mere functional person does. However, despite such optimistic expectations, foreign literature class has to face limits of eclecticism. As for the solution, as mentioned above, the method of teaching that mainly incorporates cultural text is a approach that fulfills the students with sensibility who live in the visual era. Second, it is a three-dimensional and sensible approach for the visual era, not an annotation that searches for any ambiguous vocabularies or metaphors. Third, it is the method that reduces the burdensome amount of reading. Fourth, it triggers interest in students including philosophical, sociocultural, and political ones. Such experience is expected to stimulate the intellectual curiosity in students and moreover motivates them to continues their study in graduate school, because it itself can be an interesting area of study.
