  • The Monte-Carlo (MC) technique is very efficient solution for statistical problem. Various MC methods can easily be applied to statistical circuit performance analysis. Recently, as the number of process parameters and their impact, has increasingly affected circuit performance, a sufficient sample size is required in order to consider high dimensionality, profound nonlinearity, and stringent accuracy requirements. Also, it is important to identify the performance of circuit as soon as possible. In this paper, Fast MC method is proposed for efficient analysis of circuit performance. The proposed method analyzes performance using enhanced-precision Latin Hypercube Sampling Monte Carlo (LHSMC). To increase the accuracy of the analysis, we calculate the effective dimension for the low discrepancy value on critical parameters. This will guarantee a robust input vector for the critical parameters. Using a 90nm process parameter and OP-AMP, we verified the accuracy and reliability of the proposed method in comparison with the standard MC, LHS and Quasi Monte Carlo (QMC).

  • The purpose of this paper is to develop an efficient model for the analysis of a John's Chopper Circuit. In the John's Chopper Circuit analysis, the open branches are removed from the associated graph to formulate the modified incidence matrix. An algorithm for the generation of a modified proper tree and fundamental cut set matrix from a network graph is developed, which utilizes much less computer storage space and computation time compared to the classical methods.

  • This paper proposes test strategy detecting the faulted digital device or the faulted digital circuit on the digital circuit board using signature analysis technique based on the polynoimal division theory. SSA(serial Signature Analysis) identifies the faults by comparing the reminder from good device and reminder from the tested device, which reminder is obtained by enforcing the data stream outputed from output pins of tested device on LFSR(Linear Feedback Shift Resister) representing the characteristic equation.

  • When designing a SMPS(Switched Mode Power Supply) circuit, a part that is easily overlooked without special consideration is a snubber circuit. However, the performance degradation of the SMPS due to the snubber circuit and the effect on the entire SET cannot be ignored. In addition, a snubber circuit is added to both ends of the switch to protect the device from peak voltage and current during switching and to reduce loss during on/off switching. Therefore, in this paper, for a sufficient understanding of snubber circuits, theoretical analysis and experimental formulas that can be applied by designers during actual circuit design are arranged to promote optimization of snubber circuits.

  • The most important thing in design procedure of SCG is the exact estimation of the electromagnetic force acting on the field and amature winding. Until now, equivalent circuit method was used for the analysis or electric and magnetic performance. This paper sheds the leo dimensional analysis of electric and magnetic characteristics of SCG by Finite Element Method(FEM). Analysis by FEM provides more areolate results than that of equivalent circuit method because harmonics field generated by field current can he considered. Circuit and field equations are combined together in a equation and solved simultaneously.

  • This paper presents the magnetic equivalent circuit analysis of a double-excited, two-degree-of-freedom (DOF) motor. The double-excited, 2-DOF motor is a laminated structure, making it easy to manufacture and giving it simple operating principles. We explain the structure of the 2-DOF motor and analyze the static characteristics using a magnetic equivalent circuit (MEC) to reduce analysis time. The feasibility of MEC analysis was confirmed by experimental results of the tilting, panning motion. We also confirmed the occurrence of holding torque in every motion.
