유아교육·보육기관 평가인정제 개발 연구 (Accreditation Standards and Procedures for Institutions of Early Childhood Education and Care)

  • A large sample (1090) of randomly selected early childhood education professionals and government officials rated each of the 133 standards of "A Model for Institutional Accreditation for Early Childhood Education and Care"(Yang, 1999) on a scale of 1 (least important) to 5 (most important). Findings were that all kindergartens and child care centers should be evaluated for accreditation every 3 years with 3-6 months for self-study and on-site validation visits by representatives of the appropritates agencies for 1-2 days. Evaluation results are should be used by institution personnel as a guide to self-supervision, by government officials as a funding standard and by parents as criteria of program quality. Essential accreditation standards included: facilities and equipment; curriculum; nutrition, health and safety; administration and management; and support systems. Safety and teacher-child interactions were most highly rated while parent involvement was not highly rated.

어린이집 영아반교사(1~2세반)의 신체활동 실행과 지원요구 (Professional Practical of Physical Activities and Support Requests from Child Care Center Teachers of Infants Aged 1 to 2)

  • 본 연구목적은 어린이집 1세와 2세반의 영아반 교사에 따라 나타난 신체활동 운영계획, 내용선정, 평가의 실행과 지원요구 차이를 분석하여 영아 발달수준에 적합한 신체활동 운영방안의 기초자료를 제공하는 것이다. 연구대상은 J도 어린이집 영아반 담임교사 221명이며, 51문항으로 구성된 설문지를 배포하여 수집된 자료는 ${\chi}^2$ 검증, 독립표본 t-검증 하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 신체활동 실행 변인 중에서 학급크기, 수업계획자, 적합한 지도자, 실외운동 주당수업 빈도와 수업시간, 연계교육 계획의 일부 변인, 신체활동 내용선정의 일부 변인, 신체활동 평가의 일부 변인에서 반별에 따라 유의한 차이가 나타났다. 둘째, 신체활동 실행 시 지원요구 변인 중에서 신체활동계획안 작성법, 교수학습방법, 평가방법, 신체표현활동프로그램, 보수교육운영 시 표준보육과정 신체운동영역의 일부 변인에서 반별에 따라 유의한 차이가 나타났다. 본 연구에서 논의된 1세반과 2세반에 적합한 신체활동 운영방안과 교사의 지원 요구를 개선시킬 수 있는 방안의 일환으로 효율적인 영아보수교육 운영에 대해서 제언도 하였다.

보육시설 영아반에 자녀를 보내는 어머니의 양육 스트레스 및 사회적 지지와 양육 효능감 (Parenting Stress with her Infant and Social Support and Parenting Efficacy of Mother who commit their infants to child-care facilities)

  • 본 연구에서는 보육시설 영아반에 자녀를 보내는 어머니의 양육 스트레스 및 사회적 지지와 양육 효능감의 상호관련성과 양육 효능감에 미치는 다른 변인들의 상대적 영향력을 살펴보았다. 이를 위해 U시의 보육시설 영아반에 자녀를 보내는 어머니 234명을 대상으로 질문지를 사용하여 검사하였다. 그 결과 보육시설 영아반에 자녀를 보내는 어머니의 양육 효능감을 설명하는 변수로 사회적 지지, 양육 스트레스, 어머니의 연령 및 학력이 영향력 있는 변수로 나타났다. 즉 사회적 지지가 높을수록, 양육 스트레스가 낮을수록, 어머니의 연령이 높을수록, 어머니의 학력이 낮을수록 어머니의 양육 효능감이 높다.

다문화 가정 유아 보육의 지원 전략 수립을 위한 기초적 연구 (A Preliminary Study on the Supporting Strategies for Caring and Teaching Young Children from Multi-cultural Families)

  • The purpose of this study was to establish strategies that support multi-cultural children' development and adaptation in day care centers. The subjects were 61 young children, 49 parents from multi-cultural family and 550 Korean young children. The instruments utilized were the Sukemune-Hiew Resilience Test for parents and the Danaka Deveopment Test for children. The statistical instruments used were the t-test and the Pearson product correlation coefficients. Our results indicated that : (1) In the case five or six years old children from multi-cultural families, language development lagged behind that of Korean children. (2) Social support systems were insufficient for parents of multi-cultural families. Our cnclusions suggest that establishing strategies is necessary for not only supporting the linguistic development of children from multi-cultural families, but strategies aimed at supporting their parents in day care centers need to be developed.

영유아 보육시설의 급식 관리 실태 및 개선방안 (Current and Future Foodservice Management Performance in Child-care Centers)

  • This study examined foodservice management performance in child-care centers and suggests ways in which meal service quality can be improved. Questionnaires were distributed to 51 child-care facilities. The majority of respondents were facility directors (dietitians) and their facility type was tax-paid (92.2%). The dietitian response rate was 51.0%, and the majority (96.2%) were hired with co-management status, visiting a facility once a week (76.0%). Only 52.1% of the facilities had menu planning by a dietitian, and improvements were needed in terms of planning menus with standardized recipes, especially for infant meals. The monthly food cost per child was 47,394 won, and the labor cost for a co-management dietitian was 3,670 won per child, indicating 21.8% and 1.8% of the tuition fee, respectively. Other necessary improvements included: more reliable food purchasing management, securing additional foodservice equipment, and better sanitation management. In addition, respondents rated the following as requirements to ensure high quality meal service: 'modernized foodservice equipment and facilities', 'government financial support', and 'information on nutrition and foodservice management provided by dietitians'. Based on the study results, the following are recommendations for improving meal service quality in child-care centers: Dietitian placement should be extended to facilities of over 50-capacity in addition to their current placement in facilities of over 100-capacity, and co-management dietitians should have their control span restricted to two facilities instead of five. Finally, nationwide nutrition support plans and nutrition education programs should be developed and implemented by dietitians, and their roles should be extended to foodservice mangers as well as nutrition teachers.

기혼직장여성의 탁아실태와 직무만족도 (A Study on Child Day Care and Job Satisfaction of Married Women Employed Outside Home)

  • The purpose of this study was to obtain data on the child care support and job satisfaction of married women employed outside home. The data for this study were collected from a survey of 350 married women employed outside home who were residing in North Cholla Province. Major fimding are summarized in the following. First, many married women were pressured by the burdens child rearing(54.5%) and houshold chores(39.6%). Second, the daycare arrangements for children under age seven were diverse. Just under half of the children were cared for by the employed mother'parents(25.1%), or by the mother's parents-in law(21.1%). The rest were sent to daycare center(40.6%), cared for by a hired helper(7.6%), or sent to an industrial on- site daycare center(1.0%). Third, about half of the married employed mothers(47.5%) wished for an on-site daycare service at their workplace. Fourth, the variables that affected employed mothers job satisfaction were age, job, husband's job type, the income of the mother, the reason of the mother's employment, the degree of husband's houshold labor participation, and the type of social and employer's support for chid care.

입원한 아동에게 제공되는 환자의 눈을 통한 간호의 질 측정도구 개발 (Development of an Instrument to Measure the Quality of Care through Patients' Eyes for Hospitalized Child)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to develop an instrument that evaluated QUality Of care Through patients' Eyes for hospitalized child (QUOTE-Child), and examine the validity and reliability. Methods: Preliminary items were reviewed through expert content validity and face validity. To test the validity and reliability of the instrument, the data were collected from 221 care givers of hospitalized children. Data were analyzed using exploratory factor analysis, Pearson correlation coefficient, Cronbach's alpha and Spearman-Brown coefficient. Results: Factor analysis yielded 19 items in four factors including 1) respect, 2) explanation, 3) kindness, and 4) skillfulness, with a cumulative explanatory variance of 70.68%. For criterion-related validity, a significant positive relationship was found between quality of care and pediatric family satisfaction. For internal consistency reliability, the Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ was .93 (importance) and .95 (performance) for the overall instrument. The half split reliabilities were .86, .95 (importance) and .92, .97 (performance). The Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ of 110 data was .92 (importance) and .94 (performance). Conclusion: Researchers and practitioners can use this instrument to systematically assess quality of care for hospitalized children and identify areas of support for hospitalized children and their family.

언어치료에 대한 보육교사의 인식연구 (A Study on Child-Care Teachers' Awareness toward Speech-Language Therapy)

  • This study aims at reviewing differences of awareness toward speech-language therapy according to background variables of child-care teachers, and establishing a basic data necessary for special education support programs afterwards based on child-care centers and its characteristics with the results. Researcher carried out a survey by objecting child-care teachers of Chungcheongbuk-do, Korea, and looked into existence of some differences through SPSS 20.0 for Window, independent sample t-Test, ANOVA, Scheffe post verification on background characteristics such as level of education, working career, license grade, whether or not to have objects of speech-language objects in the class. Research results are same as follows. First, significant differences in awareness of child-care teachers toward speech-language therapy appeared from license grade among characteristics like level of education, license grade, whether or not to have objects of speech-language therapy in the class. Second, significant differences were displayed from whether or not to have objects of speech-language therapy in the class among characteristics such as level of education, working career, license grade, and whether or not to have objects of speech-language therapy. When putting these results together, a conclusion could be made such like awareness of child-care teachers toward speech-language therapy and therapists is able to be different a little according to background variables of teachers.

어린이집 재원시간에 따른 유아의 일상적 스트레스와 어린이집 질적수준의 중재효과 (The Effect of Hours in Child Care Centers on Children's Daily Stress and the Moderating Effects of Child Care Quality)

  • 본 연구에서는 유아의 어린이집 재원시간과 어린이집의 질적 수준이 유아의 일상적 스트레스에 미치는 영향과 어린이집 질적 수준의 일상적 스트레스 중재효과를 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 어린이집 10개소와 그곳에 재원중인 만 3세부터 만 5세까지 유아 380명을 대상으로 질적 수준 평가 및 일상적 스트레스 검사를 하였고, 결과 분석을 위해 일원변량분석, 중다회귀분석, 조절적회귀분석, 이원변량분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과 유아의 일상적 스트레스는 하루 재원시간이 7시간 이하인 유아보다 하루 9시간 이상인 유아의 경우가 더 높았다. 어린이집의 질적 수준에 따라서는 공간 및 설비, 일상적 양육, 언어추론, 상호작용, 활동, 프로그램 구성, 부모 및 교직원의 7가지 변인 중, 교사와 유아의 상호작용 수준이 낮을수록, 부모와 교직원의 협조 및 전문성 수준이 높을수록 유아의 일상적 스트레스가 높았다. 어린이집의 질적 수준 중 하루 9시간 이상 장시간 재원하는 유아의 일상적 스트레스를 중재하는 변인은 언어추론, 상호작용, 부모와 교직원 변인이었는데, 구체적으로 언어추론 활동이 활발하고 교사와 유아간의 상호작용이 긍정적이며 부모와 교직원의 협조 및 전문성 수준이 높았을 때 유아의 일상적 스트레스가 감소하는 중재효과가 있었다.

보육교사의 플로리시와 영유아권리존중보육 간 영향 관계에서 자기주도직무설계의 조절효과 탐색 (Exploring the Moderating Effect of Job Crafting in the Relationship between Child-care Teachers' Flourish and Care that Respects the Rights of Child)

  • 보육교사 직무의 중요성은 최근 대전환적 사회 환경 변화로 인해 크게 부각되고 있지만 수행 여건이 상당히 열악하여 다양한 직무요인 측면의 관리가 필요한 상황이다. 그에 본 연구는 보육교사와 관련된 실무적 활용과 제도적 지원을 위한 정보 제공을 목적으로 플로리시, 영유아권리존중보육, 자기주도직무설계를 선택하여 기능적 영향관계와 효용성을 검증하였다. 이들 변수를 활용하여 보육교사를 대상으로 이루어진 국내 연구가 부존하기 때문에 보육교사 223명을 대상으로 위계적회귀분석 등을 실시하여 시초적 정보를 취득하였다. 분석결과, 연령대에 따른 플로리시, 근무시간에 따른 부정적 직무요구 감소만 집단별 평균 차이가 확인되었고, 플로리시가 영유아권리존중보육에 선행하며 정적(+) 영향력을 미치는 것으로 파악되었다. 그리고 자기주도직무설계 중 사회적 직무자원 증진이 조절효과를 나타내는 것으로 판명되었다. 따라서 본 연구가 제공한 정보를 토대로 직무 관리 전략을 새롭게 마련하고 실효성 높은 요인별 강화 프로그램이 필요하다.
