다공성 매질의 내부유동에 관한 섭동해석 (Perturbation Analysis of Stokes Flow in Porous Medium)

  • In this study, flow in a porous medium is analyzed using a computer-extended perturbation series solution. The flow is modelled as a creeping flow in a periodically constricted channel. The channel walls have a sinusoidally varying width and the flow is analyzed in terms of its vorticity and stream functions in the Stokes flow regime. The perturbation series in terms of a small parameter, average width to length ratio, is extended with a computer resulting in purely asymptotic series and Pade summation is used to obtain final results. Resulting flow shows flow separations in the widening section and immobile zones in the widest section of the flow regime with reattachment in the narrowing section. Analysis of the flow separation phenomena resulted in a correlation between the two geometric parameters of the channel walls to predict the onset of flow separation in the Stokes flow regime.

  • In this paper, an adaptive neuro-fuzzy filter using the conditional fuzzy c-means(CFCM) methods is proposed. Usualy, the number of fuzzy rules exponentially increases by applying the grid partitioning of the input space, in conventional adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system(ANFIS) approaches. In order to solve this problem, CFCM method is adopted to render the clusters which represent the given input and output data. Parameter identification is performed by hybrid learning using back-propagation algorithm and total least square(TLS) method. Finally, we applied the proposed method to the nonlinear channel equalization problem and obtained a better performance than previous works.

Robust Pilot-aided Frequency Offset Estimation Scheme for OFDM-based Broadcasting System with Cyclic Delay Diversity

  • This paper proposes an improved carrier frequency offset (CFO) and sampling frequency offset (SFO) estimation scheme for orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) based broadcasting system with cyclic delay diversity (CDD) antenna. By exploiting a periodic nature of channel transfer function, cyclic delay and pilot pattern with a maximum channel power are carefully chosen, which helps to enable a robust estimation of CFO and SFO against the frequency selectivity of the channel. As a performance measure, a closed-form expression for the achievable mean square error of the proposed scheme is derived and is verified through simulations using the parameters of the digital radio mondiale standard. The comparison results show that the proposed frequency estimator is shown to benefit from properly selected delay parameter and pilot pattern, with a performance better than the existing estimator.

  • In this paper, we investigate the outage performance of a two-way decode-and-forward relaying network in an interference-limited Nakagami-m fading environment. More specifically, assuming the presence of Nakagami-m faded multiple co-channel interferers at the source/destination terminals, the closed-form approximate expression for the outage probability is derived by using moment-based estimators attaining the appropriate Nakagami-m fading parameter. Simulation results demonstrate that our analytical result is in excellent agreement with the Monte Carlo simulation.

  • In this Paper, the channel characteristics of the medium voltage(22.9kV) power line to analysis the broadband power line communication in the frequency range up to 30MHz was measured. With the sideband electrical coupler in the operating frequency range from DC to 30MHz, we measured characteristic impedance, noise and attenuation of the medium voltage power line, and then characteristic impedance was measured at the state of unloaded medium voltage power line by Scattering parameter method of Vector Network Analyzer. As a measurement result, Channel impedance shows 100~380$\Omega$ at the less than 15MHz and 70~230$\Omega$ at the more than 15 MHz. Noise characteristics of power line shows -75dBm at 20MHz and Narrowband interference noise was from 3 MHz to 7MHz.

신발형 리브의 형상변화가 열전달 및 압력 강하에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Geometry of a Boot-Shaped Rib on Heat Transfer and Pressure Drop)

  • This paper deals with a parametric study on boot-shaped ribs in a rectangular cooling channel. Numerical analysis of the flow and heat transfer was performed using three-dimensional Reynolds averaged Navier-Stokes equations with the Speziale, Sarkar and Gatski turbulence model. The parametric study was performed for the parameters, tip width-to rib width, tip height-to-rib height, rib height-to-channel height, and rib height-to-width ratios. To assess the cooling performance and friction loss, Numsselt number and friction factor were defined as the performance parameter, respectively. The results showed that the cooling performance and friction loss were seriously affected by the four geometric parameters.

  • Hot carrier induced device degradation characteristics under DC bias stress have been investigated in n-MOSFETs with channel length of 1.2,1.8 um, and compared with those of LDD structure device with same channel length. Based on these results, the device lifetime in normal operating bias(Vgs=Vds=5V) is evaluated. The lifetimes of conventional and LDD n-MOSFET with channel length of 1.2 um are estimated about for 17 days and for 12 years, respectively. The degradation rate of LDD n-MOSFET under the same stress is the lowest at n-region implnatation dose of 2.5E15 cm-\ulcorner while the substrate current is the lowest at the dose of 1E13cm-\ulcorner Thses results show that the device degradation characteristics are basic measurement parameter to find optimum process conditions in LDD devices and evaluate a reliability of sub-micron device.

  • The final purpose of this paper is the enhancement of speech recognition rate under the matched telephone environment between training data and test data. To analyze the effect by the distortion of the changing telephone channel on every call, MFCC is used as the feature parameter and CMN, RTCN, and RASTA are used as channel compensation techniques. For each case, the variation of feature parameters of all phones is analyzed. And, we find recognition rates according to each compensation method using the continuous HMM recognizer, and examine the relationship between variation and recognition rate.

  • Threshold voltage is one of the most important factors in a device modeling. In this paper, analytical method to calculate threshold voltage for recessed channel (RC) MOSFETs is studied. If we know the fundamental parameter of device, such as radius, oxide thickness and doping concentration, threshold voltage can be obtained easily by using this model. The model predicts the threshold voltage which is the result of 2D numerical device simulation.

  • Codebook-based opportunistic beamforming (COBF) 기법은 파일럿을 적게 사용하면서 기존의 opportunistic beamforming 기법에 빔 선택 다이버시티를 추가한다. 본 논문에서는 채널의 상관도를 고려한 kappa-factor 채널 모델에 기반을 두어 COBF 기법에서 사용되는 랜덤 행렬과 코드북을 디자인한다. 디자인한 COBF를 적용하면 최적의 빔과 유사한 빔을 생성할 수 있고, 이에 따라 채널의 상관도가 높거나 낮음에 상관없이 항상 최적의 시스템 용량을 보인다.
