  • Let X, Y be vector spaces. It is shown that if an even mapping $f:X{\rightarrow}Y$ satisfies f(0) = 0 and $$(0.1)\;f(\frac {x+y} 2+z)+f(\frac {x+y} 2-z)+f(\frac {x-y} 2+z)+f(\frac {x-y} 2-z)=f(x)+f(y)+4f(z)$$ for all x, y, z ${\in}$X, then the mapping $f:X{\rightarrow}Y$ is quadratic. Furthermore, we prove the Cauchy-Rassias stability of the functional equation (0.1) in Banach spaces.

  • Let r, s be nonzero real numbers. Let X, Y be vector spaces. It is shown that if a mapping f : $X{\rightarrow}Y$ satisfies f(0) = 0, and $$sf(\frac{x+y{\pm}z}{r})+f(x)+f(y){\pm}f(z)=sf(\frac{x+y}{r})+sf(\frac{y{\pm}z}{r})+sf(\frac{x{\pm}z}{r})$$, or $$sf(\frac{x+y{\pm}y}{r})+f(x)+f(y){\pm}f(z)=f(x+y)+f(y{\pm}z)+f(x{\pm}z)$$ for all x, y, $z{\in}X$, then there exist an additive mapping A : $X{\rightarrow}Y$ and a quadratic mapping Q : $X{\rightarrow}Y$ such that f(x) = A(x) + Q(x) for all $x{\in}X$. Furthermore, we prove the Cauchy-Rassias stability of the functional equations as given above.

  • We consider the Hyers-Ulam-Rassias stability problem $${\parallel}u{\circ}A-{\upsilon}{\circ}P_1-w{\circ}P_2{\parallel}{\leq}{\varepsilon}({\mid}x{\mid}^p+{\mid}y{\mid}^p)$$ for the Schwartz distributions u, ${\upsilon}$, w, which is a distributional version of the Pexider generalization of the Hyers-Ulam-Rassias stability problem ${\mid}(x+y)-g(x)-h(y){\mid}{\leq}{\varepsilon}({\mid}x{\mid}^p+{\mid}y{\mid}^p)$, x, $y{\in}\mathbb{R}^n$, for the functions f, g, h : $\mathbb{R}^n{\rightarrow}\mathbb{C}$.

  • [ $C\u{a}dariu$ ] and Radu applied the fixed point method to the investigation of Cauchy and Jensen functional equations. In this paper, we adopt the idea of $C\u{a}dariu$ and Radu to prove the Hyers-Ulam-Rassias stability of the quadratic functional equation for a large class of functions from a vector space into a complete ${\gamma}-normed$ space.

  • In this paper, we consider the Cauchy-type problem for a nonlinear differential equation involving a Ψ-Hilfer fractional derivative and prove the existence and uniqueness of solutions in the weighted space of functions. The Ulam-Hyers and Ulam-Hyers-Rassias stabilities of the Cauchy-type problem is investigated via the successive approximation method. Further, we investigate the dependence of solutions on the initial conditions and their uniqueness using 𝜖-approximated solutions. Finally, we present examples to illustrate our main results.

  • Let $\cal{A}$ be a unital Banach algebra. If f : $\cal{A}{\rightarrow}\cal{A}$ is an approximately quadratic derivation in the sense of Hyers-Ulam-J.M. Rassias, then f : $\cal{A}{\rightarrow}\cal{A}$ is anexactly quadratic derivation. On the other hands, let $\cal{A}$ and $\cal{B}$ be Banach algebras.Any approximately generalized homomorphism f : $\cal{A}{\rightarrow}\cal{B}$ corresponding to Cauchy, Jensen functional equation can be estimated by a generalized homomorphism.

  • In this paper, we prove stability of the reciprocal difference functional equation $$r\(\frac{{\sum}_{i=1}^{m}x_i}{m}\)-r\(\sum_{i=1}^{m}x_i\)=\frac{(m-1){\prod}_{i=1}^{m}r(x_i)}{{\sum}_{i=1}^{m}{\prod}_{k{\neq}i,1{\leq}k{\leq}m}r(x_k)$$ and the reciprocal adjoint functional equation $$r\(\frac{{\sum}_{i=1}^{m}x_i}{m}\)+r\(\sum_{i=1}^{m}x_i\)=\frac{(m+1){\prod}_{i=1}^{m}r(x_i)}{{\sum}_{i=1}^{m}{\prod}_{k{\neq}i,1{\leq}k{\leq}m}r(x_k)$$ in m-variables. Stability of the reciprocal difference functional equation and the reciprocal adjoint functional equation in two variables were proved by K. Ravi, J. M. Rassias and B. V. Senthil Kumar [13]. We extend their result to m-variables in similar types.

  • We prove the Hyers-Ulam stability of linear d-isometries in linear d-normed Banach modules over a unital $C^*-algebra$ and of linear isometries in Banach modules over a unital $C^*-algebra$. The main purpose of this paper is to investigate d-isometric $C^*-algebra$ isomor-phisms between linear d-normed $C^*-algebras$ and isometric $C^*-algebra$ isomorphisms between $C^*-algebras$, and d-isometric Poisson $C^*-algebra$ isomorphisms between linear d-normed Poisson $C^*-algebras$ and isometric Poisson $C^*-algebra$ isomorphisms between Poisson $C^*-algebras$. We moreover prove the Hyers-Ulam stability of their d-isometric homomorphisms and of their isometric homomorphisms.

  • It is shown that every almost linear mapping h : $A{\rightarrow}B$ of a unital PoissonC*-algebra A to a unital Poisson C*-algebra B is a Poisson C*-algebra homomorph when $h(2^nuy)\;=\;h(2^nu)h(y)$ or $h(3^nuy)\;=\;h(3^nu)h(y)$ for all $y\;\in\;A$, all unitary elements $u\;\in\;A$ and n = 0, 1, 2,$\codts$, and that every almost linear almost multiplicative mapping h : $A{\rightarrow}B$ is a Poisson C*-algebra homomorphism when h(2x) = 2h(x) or h(3x) = 3h(x for all $x\;\in\;A$. Here the numbers 2, 3 depend on the functional equations given in the almost linear mappings or in the almost linear almost multiplicative mappings. We prove the Cauchy-Rassias stability of Poisson C*-algebra homomorphisms in unital Poisson C*-algebras, and of homomorphisms in Poisson Banach modules over a unital Poisson C*-algebra.
