Relationship Between Sleep Quality and Depression Symptoms of Male Workers in Manufacturing Industries (제조업 사업장 남성 근로자들의 수면의 질과 우울수준과의 관련성)

  • This study was conducted to investigate the relationship between sleep quality and depression level of male workers in the manufacturing industry. The survey subjects were 856 male workers in the manufacturing industries in D city. Data collection was conducted through a self-administrated questionnaire survey during the period from March 1 to April 30, 2019. The distribution of depressive level among subjects differed significantly according to various variables of sociodemographic characteristics, health related behaviors and job related characteristics. In addition, the distribution of the depressive group was significantly higher in the group with worse quality of sleep (PSQI). Depression level showed a significant positive correlation with sleep quality. The risk ratio of the depressed group was significantly higher than that of the sleep quality. The results of this study suggest that the depressive level of male workers in the manufacturing industry is significantly related to the quality of sleep as well as sociodemographic, health related and job related characteristics. Therefore, it is necessary to make efforts to improve sleep quality to reduce the level of depression of workers.

  • Beauty in the modern society is a professional occupation in which art and science are fusion-integrated, and in order to enter as a beautician, obtaining a national technical certificate is a routine customs clearance procedure. As it is time to present objective data on the national technology license and employment fields preferred by prospective beauticians, it is a time to analyze the perceptions and trends of the national technical license of the beautician preferred by beauty academy students who design success in the future beauty industry. Did. As a result of the analysis, the preferred national skill certificate and the desired employment field showed a very high correlation, and the personality and interests of the male, younger, unmarried, and student groups were selected as the priority, while the 30s or older, married or divorced, self-employed, and office workers, Housewives had a much higher rate of employment prospects. Through this study, it is possible to seek the essential tendency and development direction of beauty talents, and it is thought that it will set a desirable direction for R&D for education of national technical qualifications in the future and greatly contribute to the activation of the beauty academy market.

Customer Satisfaction Management and Service Quality According to the DISC Behavior Type

  • Purpose: This study aims to explore the service improvement and marketing strategy to measure the effect of the DISC (dominance, influence, steadiness, conscientiousness) behavior type of hair salon workers on service quality and marketing. Research design, data and methodology: 236 responses were analyzed by distributing questionnaires to hair salon workers through SNS. Factor analysis and reliability analysis were applied and the influence of job factors on work satisfaction and turnover intention, and the statistical significance of the DISC behavioral type adjustment effect verified. Results: First, among the general characteristics of the survey subjects, the most common respondents were women and interns in their twenties, with less than four years of experience and less than three years of work experience on site. Second, the working environment, employee relations and compensation policies caused by work-related factors have shown a major influence on work satisfaction. Third, the working environment and human relationships among the job factors have an impact on turnover intention. Conclusions: The working environment, human relations, and compensation system derived as job factors had a crucial effect in service quality and marketing on job satisfaction, and among job factors, working environment and human relations had a significant influence on turnover intention.

  • It is a reality that office workers in modern society cannot overlook their appearance management for promotion in the workplace that does not fall behind in competition with others and smooth human relationships. According to this social trend, it is time to conduct an in-depth cosmetology study on the appearance management and perception of office workers, including hair styles. Therefore, this study analyzed the hair style type and preference closely by cross-analyzing the differences between groups by classifying the occupational persons of female airline crew, female soldiers, female sportsmen, female lawyers, and female nurses into age, marriage, academic background, and occupation. As result of study, it was found that different women in each occupational group had different results, such as their current hair style type and hair texture, the use of current hair styling products, and their personal preference for women's hairstyles and hair colors. This study will be used as basic data for developing new mode items that meet customer needs in the beauty marketing market and researching customer demand.

  • This study is aimed at identifying the important factors required by customers through importance-satisfaction analysis of how they choose skin care shops on the basis of certain factors and attributes at this time when there is an urgent need to improve the level of quality that meets their expectations and demands in combination with the quantitative expansion of skin care shops. To achieve this, a survey was carried out to 217 people over the age of 20 in Gwangju and Jeonnam area with experience in using skin care shop services. The SPSS v. 21.0 program was used to analyze the collected data. The results are summarized as follows. IPA grid analysis of the difference in importance-satisfaction of sub-factors for skin care shop choice showed that the items corresponding to the upper-left side of maintenance and strengthening, the upper-right side of stainability, and the lower-left side of gradual improvement were the 'sanitary control of tools and products', 'basic situation(legal compliance)', and 'workers' sanitary control', 'internal control of skin care shops', 'professionalism and skills of workers'and 'quality of services', respectively. Consequently, the results of this study will be based on the efficient operation of skin care shops, and further more the utilization of them is expected to expand the quantitative and qualitative base of the skin care industry.

A Study on the Analysis Method of Skin Condition through Visual Confirmation of Skin Surface (피부표면 육안확인을 통한 피부상태 분석법 고찰)

  • Skin condition is an important concern in beauty aspect. This study considered a rough skin condition analysis method that beauty industry workers can do through visual observation or skin condition images taken with smartphones. First, studies that combine subjective and objective evaluations were selected among degree papers and academic papers searched by keywords related to 'skin condition' in the Research Information Sharing Service(RISS). Among them, papers that derive correlations with visually verifiable factors were selected. Next, the relationship between factors that match subjective skin condition and objective skin measurement results and factors that can be visually identified on the skin surface was investigated. According to the study, the most suitable factor for matching subjective and objective evaluations was 'oil volume', which is significantly related to 'pore', 'skin texture' and 'erythema', which can be visually checked on the skin surface. It is believed that a rough skin condition analysis will be possible using this.

  • Recently, almost all industries are focusing on improving the competency of related industry workers, and it is necessary to design a systematic educational activity plan that constructs, operates and evaluates learning experiences for knowledge, technology and literacy development required in the industrial field. This study performed a questionnaire survey on students' satisfaction with 2015 and 2014 curriculum and national competency standards (NCS)-based one which has been applied since March 2016 against those from Department of Beauty & Cosmetology, 'C' University. For data analysis, frequency analysis, qualitative analysis and SWOT analysis were conducted, and the results found the followings: The NCS-based curriculum which has been applied since 2016 is more advanced than 2015 and 2014 curriculum in terms of strength, weakness, risk and opportunity. In addition, their satisfaction with curriculum was more than average with 47.9-57.2%. Meanwhile, when asked their favorite time to decide their academic major, 79.5% answered, '2nd semester of the 1st year'. They were very dissatisfied with the fact that their academic major is decided in the second year. It is anticipated that the NCS-based 2-year curriculum for Dept. of Beauty & Cosmetology is redesigned through analysis of students' satisfaction and by reflecting their opinions. It is also expected that the reorganization of the curriculum in a more practical and systematic manner would increase students' satisfaction and generate workforce for cosmetology industry.

  • This study compares the safety of nail products by reviewing domestic and foreign literature for preparing a safety management plan for reduction of human body exposure to hazardous substances that occur in nail products. We analyzed the cases of exceeding the limit value of hazardous substances. In domestic artificial nail adhesive and nail tip, toluene content was 40.3 times higher than the standard value, chloroform was 22.8 times, and antimony was 15.4 times. In developed countries, it is obligatory to provide material safety data and workplace ventilation equipment through various policy researches. However, there is no safety standard in Korea. Therefore, if the regulations for safety management should be established with each characteristic of nail product, work environment, workers, and consumers, and the awareness of hazardous substance cosmetics should be improved through development and dissemination of various educational programs, it can contribute to disease prevention and health promotion.

The Moderating Effects of the Individual Characteristics in Relationships between the Hairdressing Business Workers' Organizational Communications on Job Satisfaction (헤어미용업 종사자의 조직커뮤니케이션과 직무만족의 관계에서 개인특성의 조절효과)

  • This study attempted to determine the effects of organizational communication on job satisfaction as organizational performance for beauty salon employees as related to their personal characteristics. For empirical analysis, a questionnaire survey was conducted among beauty salon employees in Gyeongsangnam-do, and the collected data were analyzed. The results found the following: First, organizational communication had an effect on job satisfaction. In fact, compared to other factors, communication ability revealed the greatest influence on job satisfaction. In particular, the effect of organizational communication on job satisfaction was high in the following groups: 'age 40 or older', 'high school graduates or younger' and 'married'. The study results show that human resource management that comprehensively considers personal characteristics as well as organizational communication is essential in improving business performances by increasing employees' job satisfaction in the hairdressing industry.

Musculoskeletal Disorder Symptoms and Related Factors among Male Workers in Small-scale Manufacturing Industries (소규모 제조업 남성 근로자의 근골격계질환 자각증상 및 관련요인)

  • This study was performed to determine the musculoskeletal symptoms and its association with sociodemographic and health related characteristics, job-related characteristics and occupational stress among manufacturing workers. The self-administered questionnaires were given to 856 male workers in randomly selected 62 work places with 50 or less employees in manufacturing industries during the period from October 1st, 2011 to November 30th, 2011. Complaint rates of work-related musculoskeletal symptoms was 82%. In logistic regression analysis, significant factors related with musculoskeletal symptoms were marital status, BMI, subjective health status, alcohol drinking, job position, job tenure, experience of sick absence and visiting out-patient department. In conclusion, the study results suggested that the complain rates of work-related musculoskeletal symptoms of workers in work places of manufacturing industries with 50 or less employees were higher than workers in a large enterprise or the small and medium enterprises and it was related with sociodemographic and health related characteristics, job-related characteristics and occupational stress.
