Let $\mathcal{B}$ be a Banach space of analytic functions defined on the open unit disk. Assume S is a bounded operator defined on $\mathcal{B}$ such that S is in the commutant of $M_zn$ or $SM_zn=-M_znS$ for some positive integer n. We give necessary and sufficient condition between compactness of $SM_z+cM_zS$ where c = 1, -1, i, -i, and the structure of S. Also we characterize the commutant of $M_zn$ for some positive integer n.

Decision analysis has becomes an important technique for decision making in the face of uncertainty. It is characterized by enumerating all the available courses of action, identifying the payoffs for all possible outcomes, and quantifying the subjective probabilities for the all possible random events. When the data are available, decision analysis becomes a powerful tool for determining an optimal course of action. In this paper, we use the analytic hierarchy process in weights calculating. For the purpose of making optimal decision, the data of three different smart phones models are used.

Making use of a certain operator of fractional derivative, a new subclass $L_p({\alpha},{\beta},{\gamma},{\lambda})$) of analytic and p-valent functions is introduced in the present paper. Apart from various coefficient bounds, many interesting and useful properties of this class of functions are given, some of these properties involve, for example, linear combinations and modified Hadamard product of several functions belonging to the class introduced here.

Cameron and Storvick discovered a change of scale formula for Wiener integral of functionals in a Banach algebra $\mathcal{S}$ on classical Wiener space. We express the analytic Feynman integral of cylinder function as a limit of Wiener integrals. Moreover we obtain the same change of scale formula as Cameron and Storvick's result for Wiener integral of cylinder function. Our result cover a restricted version of the change of scale formula by Kim.

In this paper, by means of the $S{\breve{a}}l{\breve{a}}gean$ operator, we introduce a new subclass $\mathcal{B}^{m,n}_{\Sigma}({\gamma};{\varphi})$ of analytic and bi-univalent functions in the open unit disk $\mathbb{U}$. For functions belonging to this class, we consider Fekete-$Szeg{\ddot{o}}$ inequalities.

We provide local and semilocal theorems for the convergence of Newton-like methods to a locally unique solution of an equation in a Banach space. The analytic property of the operator involved replaces the usual domain condition for Newton-like methods. In the case of the local results we show that the radius of convergence can be enlarged. A numerical example is given to justify our claim . This observation is important and finds applications in steplength selection in predictor-corrector continuation procedures.

We prove some sharp extremal distance results for functions in various spaces of analytic functions on bounded strictly pseudoconvex domains with smooth boundary. Also, we obtain atomic decompositions in multifunctional Bloch and weighted Bergman spaces of analytic functions on strictly pseudoconvex domains with smooth boundary, which extend known results in the classical case of a single function.

In this paper we apply the third-order differential subordination results to normalized analytic functions in the open unit disk. We obtain appropriate classes of admissible functions and find some sufficient conditions of functions to be starlike associated with Tamanoi's Schwarzian derivative of third order. Several interesting examples are also discussed.

In this paper, we construct the analytic solutions and numerical solutions for a two-dimensional Riemann problem for Burgers' equation. In order to construct the analytic solution, we use the characteristic analysis with the shock and rarefaction base points. We apply the composite scheme suggested by Liska and Wendroff to compute numerical solutions. The result is coincident with our analytic solution. This demonstrates that the composite scheme works pretty well for Burgers' equation despite of its simplicity.
