  • In this paper, we prove that the range of homomorphism from a C\ulcorner-algebra A into a commutative Banach algebra B whose radical is nil contains no non-zero element of the radical of B. Using this result we show that there is no non-zero homomorphism from a C\ulcorner-algebra into a commutative radical nil Banach algebra.

  • In this paper, we shall introduce the concept of rough antifuzzy subring and prove some theorems in this context. We have, if µ is an anti-fuzzy subring, then µ is a rough anti-fuzzy subring. Also we give some properties of homomorphism and anti-homomorphism on rough anti-fuzzy subring.

  • We analyze Domingo-Feller's first privacy homomorphism scheme with known-plaintext attack As a result, it is possible to get the secret key if we blow two known plaintext-ciphertext pairs when modulus n is public, and three or more pairs are sufficient when modulus n is secret.

  • In this paper, we get a complete condition for a group homomorphism of a compact Lie group with an arbitrarily given left invariant Riemannian metric into another Lie group with a left invariant metric to be a harmonic map, and then obtain a necessary and sufficient condition for a group homomorphism of (SU(2), g) with a left invariant metric g into the Heisenberg group (H, $h_0$) to be a harmonic map.

  • In this paper we introduce the notion of a fuzzy kernel of a fuzzy homomorphism on groups and we show that it is a fuzzy normal subgroup of the domain group. Conversely, we also prove that any fuzzy normal subgroup is a fuzzy kernel of some fuzzy epimorphism, namely the canonical fuzzy epimorphism. Finally, we formulate and prove the fuzzy version of the fundamental theorem of homomorphism and those isomorphism theorems.

  • In this article, it is proved that under some conditions every bijective Jordan triple product homomorphism from generalized matrix algebras onto rings is additive. As a corollary, we obtain that every bijective Jordan triple product homomorphism from $M_n(\mathcal{A})$ ($\mathcal{A}$ is not necessarily a prime algebra) onto an arbitrary ring $\mathcal{R}^{\prime}$ is additive.

  • In this paper, by using fixed point theorems in cones, the existence of positive solutions is considered for nonlinear m-point boundary value problem for the following second-order dynamic equations on time scales $({\phi}(u^{\Delta}))^{\nabla}+a(t)f(t,\;u(t))=0$, t $\in$ (0, T), $u(0)=\sum\limits^{m-2}_{i=1}a_iu(\xi_i)$, $\phi(u^{\Delta}(T))=\sum\limits^{m-2}_{i=1}b_i{\phi}(u^{\Delta}(\xi_i))$, where $\phi$ : R $\rightarrow$ R is an increasing homeomorphism and positive homomorphism and ${\phi}(0)=0$. In [27], we obtained the existence results of the above problem for an increasing homeomorphism and positive homomorphism with sign changing nonlinearity. The purpose of this paper is to supplement with a result in the case when the nonlinear term f is nonnegative, and the most point we must point out for readers is that there is only the p-Laplacian case for increasing homeomorphism and positive homomorphism due to the sign restriction. As an application, one example to demonstrate our results are given.

  • Let X and Y be vector spaces. It is shown that a mapping $f:X{\rightarrow}Y$ satisfies the functional equation ${\ddag}$ $$2df(\frac{x_1+{\sum}_{j=2}^{2d}(-1)^jx_j}{2d})-2df(\frac{x_1+{\sum}_{j=2}^{2d}(-1)^{j+1}x_j}{2d})=2\sum_{j=2}^{2d}(-1)^jf(x_j)$$ if and only if the mapping $f:X{\rightarrow}Y$ is additive, and prove the Cauchy-Rassias stability of the functional equation (${\ddag}$) in Banach modules over a unital $C^*$-algebra, and in Poisson Banach modules over a unital Poisson $C^*$-algebra. Let $\mathcal{A}$ and $\mathcal{B}$ be unital $C^*$-algebras, Poisson $C^*$-algebras, Poisson $JC^*$-algebras or Lie $JC^*$-algebras. As an application, we show that every almost homomorphism $h:\mathcal{A}{\rightarrow}\mathcal{B}$ of $\mathcal{A}$ into $\mathcal{B}$ is a homomorphism when $h(d^nuy)=h(d^nu)h(y)$ or $h(d^nu{\circ}y)=h(d^nu){\circ}h(y)$ for all unitaries $u{\in}\mathcal{A}$, all $y{\in}\mathcal{A}$, and n = 0, 1, 2, ${\cdots}$. Moreover, we prove the Cauchy-Rassias stability of homomorphisms in $C^*$-algebras, Poisson $C^*$-algebras, Poisson $JC^*$-algebras or Lie $JC^*$-algebras, and of Lie $JC^*$-algebra derivations in Lie $JC^*$-algebras.
