유아의 기질이 상황에 따른 정서조절에 미치는 영향 -실험, 어린이집, 가정 상황에서 나타나는 정서조절을 중심으로- (The Effects of Preschoolers' Temperament on Their Emotion Regulation in Different Situations)

  • The aims of this study were to examine whether the preschool children's temperament predicted their emotion regulation in different situations. The participants in this study were 148 3-and 5-year-old children recruited from five child-care centers located in a middle-income region of Seoul. Statistical methods used for the data analysis were the frequencies, means, standard deviations, Pearson correlation, multiple regression. The major findings were as follows. The children's temperament contributed to individual differences in emotion regulation. The 3-year-olds' negative affectivity and surgency significantly predicted their mothers' ratings of the children's emotion regulation in everyday situations. The 5-year-olds' effortful control significantly predicted their teachers' ratings of the children's emotion regulation in everyday situations. In addition, the 5-year-olds' negative affectivity, effortful control, and surgency predicted the mothers' ratings of their children's emotion regulation. These results suggest that children's temperament are contributors to the development of their emotion regulation.

만4세 유아의 스마트폰 이용 정도와 발달특성, 생활시간 간의 관계 및 이용 정도 예측변인 (Relations of Smart Phone Usage Level to Developmental Characteristics and Time Diaries, and Variables Predicting the Usage Level Groups of Four Year Old Children)

  • 본 연구는 한국아동패널의 5차년도 자료를 활용하여 만 4세 유아의 스마트폰 이용 실태, 이용 정도 집단간 발달특성과 생활시간의 차이, 이용 정도 집단을 예측하는 유아 개인 요인과 가족환경 요인을 분석하는데 목적을 두었다. 스마트폰 최초 이용 연령이 표기된 435명과 그 중에서 3세 이하부터 스마트폰을 이용하기 시작한 유아 157명을 대상으로 수집된 자료를 빈도분석, t-검증, 로지스틱 회귀분석 처리하였다. 연구결과, 다수 유아의 스마트폰 최초 이용 시기는 만 4세, 이용 정도는 '대체로 이용'하는 수준으로 나타났다. 스마트폰 저이용 집단과 고이용 집단을 비교했을 때 여아에서는 위축과 수면문제가, 전체 유아에서는 외현화 문제행동 전체, 수면문제, DSM 방식의 전반적 발달문제가 각각 낮았다. 남아와 전체 유아의 저이용 집단은 수면시간이 길었다. 이용 정도의 예측 변인은 활동성과 사회성 기질로 나타났다. 이로써 유아기 초부터, 유아의 기질을 우선 고려하여 스마트폰 과다 사용 예방교육이 필요함을 시사해 주었다.

어머니의 문해 상호작용이 유아의 어휘력과 읽기흥미에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Mother's Literacy Interaction on Children's Interest in Vocabulary and Reading)

  • Objective: The goal of this study is to research how mother's literacy interaction influences children's interest in vocabulary and reading. Methods: The research subjects selected were 120 children who were three to four-year-old and their mothers. This study conducted questionnaires about the literacy interaction of the mothers. This study also surveyed vocabulary and interest in reading of the children by directly visiting the institutes and by researching the subjects individually. This study used technical statistics, Person's product-moment correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis in order to analyze the collected data. Results: The results of this study are summarized and concluded as follows. First, open interaction among the sub-areas of a mother's literacy interaction significantly affected children's vocabulary. Second, a mother's literacy interaction with children had no direct impact on the child's interest in reading. Conclusion/Implications: The mother's literacy interaction could have a correlation with the vocabulary development of three to four-year-old children, and a mother's application of open interaction could significantly influence the receptive vocabulary and expressive vocabulary of children.

자발화에 나타난 형태소 유형에 따른 3-4세 아동의 치경마찰음 오류 (Alveolar Fricative Sound Errors by the Type of Morpheme in the Spontaneous Speech of 3- and 4-Year-Old Children)

  • Korean alveolar fricatives are late-developing speech sounds. Most previous research on phonemes used individual words or pseudo words to produce sounds, but word-level phonological analysis does not always reflect a child's practical articulation ability. Also, there has been limited research on articulation development looking at speech production by grammatical morphemes despite its importance in Korean language. Therefore, this research examines the articulation development and phonological patterns of the /s/ phoneme in terms of morphological types produced in children's spontaneous conversational speech. The subjects were twenty-two typically developing 3- and 4-year-old Koreans. All children showed normal levels in three screening tests: hearing, vocabulary, and articulation. Spontaneous conversational samples were recorded at the children's homes. The results are as follows. The error rates decreased with increasing age in all morphological contexts. Also, error percentages within an age group were significantly lower in lexical morphemes than in grammatical morphemes. The stopping of fricative sounds was the main error pattern in all morphological contexts and reduced as age increased. This research shows that articulation performance can differ significantly by morphological contexts. The present study provides data that can be used to identify the difficult context for articulatory evaluation and therapy of alveolar fricative sounds.

2세 여아에서 성장 부진과 다리 통증을 동반한 1형 고셔병 증례 (A Case of a 2-year-old Girl with Type I Gaucher Disease Presenting with Growth Retardation and Leg Pain)

  • 고셔병은 리소좀축적병으로 lysosomal hydrolase glucocerebrosidase 결여로 간비장비대, 골격계 증상, 빈혈, 혈소판 감소증의 증상을 나타내는 드문 상염색체 유전 질환이다. 본 증례에서는 2세 여아에서 간비장비대, 다리 통증, 성장부진이 관찰되어 시행한 단순 방사선 촬영 검사에 Erlenmeyer flask 변형을 확인하여 고셔병을 의심하였고 효소 분석 및 유전자 검사를 통해 확진하였다. 환아에서 한국인 비신경형 고셔병에서만 관찰되는 G46E 돌연변이를 확인하였고 1년 간의 효소 대체 요법을 통해 성장, 혈액학적 지표, 간비장비대 및 골증상의 호전을 확인하였기에 본 증례를 보고하는 바이다.

유치열(乳齒列)의 교합(咬合)에 관(關)한 연구(硏究) (STUDIES ON OCCLUSION IN THE PRIMARY DENTITION.)

  • The author studied occlusion in the primary dentition of 3~5 year old children and the materials for the present study comprised plaster model of 266 children in Seoul. The results were as followings; 1) In sagittal canine relationship, 63.9%(170 children) showed class 1 pattern, 2.3%(6 children) showed class 2 pattern, 21%(56 children) showed class 3 pattern and 12.8%(34 children) showed a different canine relationship in each side. 2) In sagittal molar relationship, 44.3% 118 children) showed class 1 pattern, 6.1%(16 children) showed class 2 pattern, 32.3%(86 children) showed class 3 pattern and 17.3%(46 children) showed a different molar relationship in each side. 3) In overjet, 87.8%(234 children) showed under 2mm. 4) 5.3%(14 children) showed crossbite and 4.6%(12 children) showed scissors-bite. 5) 21.8%(58 children) showed midline deviation. 6) Primate space was coincided with more common position of interdental space.

유아의 부정적 정서성에 따른 사회적 기술과 행동문제 (Social Skills and Problem Behaviors of Preschool Children : The Effect of Negative Emotionality)

  • Social skills and behavior problems of 90 4- and 5-year-old children were analyzed by children's negative emotionality(sadness, anger, and fear). The instrument for measurement of social skills(cooperation, self-control, assertion, and responsibility) was the Preschool Level of the Korean Version of the Social Skills Rating System(Suh, Mee-Ock, 2004). Measures of behavior problems included internalizing(anxiety, immaturity, withdrawal, physical symptoms) and externalizing(hyperactivity, aggression) problems. Results showed that girls were higher in negative emotionality(sadness) than boys, and 5-year-olds were higher in social skills than 4-year-olds. Children with lower levels of negative emotionality were higher in social skills and lower in behavior problems than children with higher levels of negative emotionality.

3, 5세 유아의 실행기능과 언어능력의 관계 (Relationship between Preschoolers' Executive Function and Verbal Ability)

  • The aims of this study are to investigate the differences of the preschoolers' executive function and verbal ability according to their age, and to identify whether the preschoolers' executive function is related to their verbal ability. The participants in this study are 151 children, ages 3-and 5-years old from five child-care centers located in a middle-income region of Seoul. Statistical methods used for the data analysis are the frequencies, means, standard deviations, an independent t-test, and Pearson correlation. The major findings are as follows. First, an age difference is found for children's executive function. The 5-year-olds are more likely to succeed on tasks of executive function than the 3-year-olds. Also, age difference is found for children's verbal ability. The 5-year-olds perform better on tests of verbal ability than the 3-year-olds. Last, the 3-year-olds' and 5-year-olds' executive function is related to their verbal ability. Inhibition and cognitive flexibility are significantly correlated with verbal ability. These results suggest that preschoolers' executive function and verbal ability develop during preschool age. These results also suggest that preschoolers' executive function is related to their verbal ability.

인삼박(人蔘粕)의 이용(利用)에 관한 연구(硏究) -인삼박(人蔘粕)의 당화(糖化)엑기스가 소아(小兒)의 성장(成長)에 미치는 영향- (Effects of Ginseng on the Physical Growth of Children)

  • Ginseng, Vitamin, and both were given to six-year-old children for three months to know effects of the drugs on the physical growth of the children. 1. Frequency of children's sickness was in order of vitamin plus ginseng, ginseng, vitamin alone and control groups. 2. Height, circumference of chest and weight of children were increased in order of vitamin plus ginseng, ginseng, vitamin, and control groups. 3. Ginseng, as compared with vitamin increased the children's growth, especially their weight and the circumference of chest.

환경그림책 연계 로봇 놀이가 만 5세 유아의 환경친화적 태도에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Robot Play linked to Environmental Picture Books on the Environmentally Friendly Attitudes of 5-Year-Old Children)

  • 본 연구는 환경그림책 연계 로봇 놀이가 만 5세 유아의 환경친화적 태도에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 서울시 위치한 Y유치원 만 5세 유아 24명을 실험집단, E유치원 만 5세 유아 20명 비교집단을 연구대상으로 선정하였다. 집단 간 차이를 살펴보기 위해 실험집단은 '환경그림책 연계 로봇 놀이'를 실시하였고 비교집단은 '환경그림책 감상 후 자유놀이'를 실시하였다. 사전과 사후의 환경친화적 태도를 비교하기 위해 검사도구를 이용하여 자료를 수집하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 29.0 통계 프로그램을 사용하여 두 집단 간 평균을 비교하는 독립표본 t검증을 통해 분석하였다. 연구결과, 유아의 환경친화적 태도의 모든 하위 영역(자연친화적 태도, 환경보전 태도)에 유의미한 차이를 보였으며, 이러한 연구결과는 로봇이라는 새로운 놀이 매체 지원의 가치를 기반으로 유아 주도의 놀이중심 유아환경교육의 새로운 환경교육의 방향의 근거자료로서 의의가 있다.
