Data were collected from the 4th to 9th Panel Study on Korean Children between 2011 to 2016, of which the data collected from 114 boys and 94 girls were finally analyzed. Multi-Mediator Model Analysis were performed using SPSS and PROCESS macro programs. First, PPB observed at the age of three significantly predicted PPB observed at ages four and five. It significantly affected SC observed at the age of six after transitioning through PPB at each stage. Second, PPB observed at the age of three significantly impacted the degree of adaptation in the first and second grades of elementary school. The medium identified in this second finding was PPB observed after the age of three and SC observed at the age of six.

The data were obtained from random sampling of 4-year old children in educational facilities for early childhood located in J city. The research was conducted in order to measure ILAYC, using the questionnaire for teachers from September 3 to 27, 2009. The t-test to investigate computer utilization ability and information literacy ability for young children revealed that the ILAYC was not significantly influenced by their computer use at home, while the ILAYC varied with learning in educational facilities and parents' recognition toward computer-assisted education. These are resulted from parents' different recognition toward computer-assisted education when they select an educational facility for early childhood.

The subjects of this study included 168 mothers of preschoolers and 170 mothers of elementary school students. They were randomly chosen. We measured and analyzed 338 mothers' happiness using Ryff's psychological well-being items. The results of this study reveal that although overall happiness level was similar, the two groups of mothers' happiness had statistically significant differences in 6 factors of mothers' happiness. Preschooler mothers had higher levels of happiness in autonomy and personal growth, while elementary school student mothers had higher levels of happiness in environment mastery, positive relationships, purpose of life, and self-acceptance. Also, the background of mothers, such as age, educational status, family income, and religion caused statistically significant differences in happiness level of both groups.

  • This study explored the process of how children are connected to and placed in the daycare center's interest area environment. Focusing on the process of getting to know, we tried to understand it through Deleuze's concept of connection-placement, which emphasized the power between materials and humans, to see how the familiar environment called the area of interest affects children's behavior. For this purpose, 20 children in the mixed class aged 4-5 years at B Daycare Center in Seoul were observed for a total of 2 hours each through 2 preliminary observations and 5 research observations from March to May 2023. First, the results of the study showed that infants' true interest could be found in the infant's gaze, not in the adult's gaze. Second, the space and play materials of the interest area environment are structurally arranged in accordance with the order of play types, but the boundaries become ambiguous as they are connected to children. Third, although the children's play seemed to be play without deviating from each area of interest, the space itself was a single mass in which interest was expressed. We hope that this study will help instructors in their practice of constructing an environment for areas of interest, and that we will become instructors who ask questions at every moment about what kind of traces will be left on children's thinking as the environment of space and media.

  • The purpose of this study is to verify the effect on the creativity and Usability of young Children by applying design education pro young Children gramfor using 3D printer to the kindergarten field and, through the results, to prepare a realistic way to increase the utilization of 3D printer media in infant classrooms. In order to achieve this research purpose, 38 infants aged 5 from G kindergarten located in metropolitan A are divided into each experimental group and comparative group, and from August 2017 to January 2018, data were collected through 15 experiments over a period of about 6 months. As a research tool, in the Korean version of Torrance's Creativity Test, an infant shape test and a usability test scale were used, and the data processing and analysis were conducted through technical statistical methods and covariance analysis. As a result of the study, the program using 3D printer had a statistically significant effect on promoting creativity and Usability of young Children, and in particular, it had a remarkable effect on the elaboration of creativity composition. Based on these results, discussions on the existing Nuri process, which mainly aims to cultivate creative talents, the possibility of connecting 3D printers more widely and the role of teachers were made.

  • This study reviews the relationship between son preference and fertility behavior, and infant and chlid mortality in the context of fertility and mortality decline. In Korea the situation reveals that fertility can decline to a very low level even in the presence of strong son preference, but son preference has certain effects on fertility and childhood mortality. The effect of son preference on fertility increased as the level of fertility declined. Our findings show that son preference causes excess female childhood mortality both directly and indirectly through fertility. Also, in Korea, the analysis reveals that female children suffer excessively high level of mortality and part of the excess mortality is due to parents' behavior on family building related to the effort to secure the birth of a son.
