  • XML is rapidly becoming the standard for data representation and exchange, and XML documents are being adopted in various applications. Since the late 1990s, some native XML database management systems(DBMSs) have been developed. More recently, commercial relational DBMS vendors try to incorporate full functionalities of XML into their products, such as Oracle, MS SQL and IBM DB2. In this paper, we implement a well-known RDBMS-based XML data storage and indexing technique, called XPath Accelerator, and tune it in an industry-leading RDBMS. Our contributions are two-folds: 1) an in-depth implementation of the XPath Accelerator technique and 2) its tuning to exploit the advanced query processing techniques of an RDBMS.

  • 체감형 게임을 하기 위한 지형 인터페이스 모델로써 스노우보드 게임에서 사용되는 지형 Map Tool을 구현한다. 게임에 쓰이게 될 3D 지형을 하이트 2D 맵 편직기만을 이용해서 만들기는 힘들며 이러한 방법은 지형의 세밀함이 떨어지고 게임상에서 계속 불러들여 확인하는 것은 비효율적이다. 하이트맵을 3D 상에서 직접 불러와 편집을 하고 저장할 수 있게 된다면 훨씬 효율적이며 퀄리티를 높일 수 있을 것이다.

The implementation of Gate Control Hybrid Doherty Amplifier (효율개선을 위한 Gate 제어 Hybrid Doherty 증폭기 구현)

  • In this paper, design and implement 60W Doherty power amplifiers for 3GPP repeater and base station transceiver system. Efficiency improvement and high power property of Doherty power amplifier is distinguishable; however implementation of assistance amplifer is difficult, though. To solve the problem, therefore, GCHD (Gate Control Hybrid Doherty) power amplifier is embodied to gate bias adjusament circuit of assistance amplifier to General Doherty power amplifier. Experiment result shows that $2.11\~2.17GHz$, 3GPP operating frequency band, with 62.55 dB gain, PEP output is 50,76 dBm, W-CDMA average power is 47.81 dBm, and -40.05 dBc ACLR characteristic in 5MHz offset frequency band. Each of the parameter satisfied amplifier specification which we want to design. Especially, GCHD power amplifier shows proper efficiency performance improvement in uniformity ACLR than general power amplifier.

  • In this paper, we introduce the implementation of the security system using iris recognition. This system acquires images with infrared camera and extracts the 2D code from a infrared image which uses scale-space filtering and concavity. We examine the system by (i) extract 2D code and (ii) compare the code that stored on the server (iii) mearsure FAR and FRR using pattern matching. Experiment results show that the proposed method is very suitable.

Development of a Digital Textbook on 'Structure and Contraction Mechanism of Skeletal Muscle' with the Learning Model for Biomimicry-Based Convergence (생체모방 기반 융합 학습 모델을 적용한 '골격근의 구조와 수축'에 대한 디지털 교재 개발)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop a digital textbook on 'structure and contraction mechanism of skeletal muscle' with the learning model for biomimicry-based convergence. The unit of 'structure and contraction mechanism of skeletal muscle' is a part of Life Science I in high school. The convergence learning model was designed with three phases of biomimicry-based convergence (Exploration-Design-Implementation) including 3D modeling & printing. The developed digital textbook was composed of 8 sessions which contains the following learning contents : Exploration of skeletal muscle, creative designing of skeletal muscle using sketch application and 3D modeling, convergent implementing of the designed using 3D printing, exploration of muscle contraction, creative designing of muscle contraction using sketch application and 3D modeling, and convergent implementing of the designed using 3D printing. Each session is also involved in the contents of gallery widgets, media widgets, keynote widgets, sketch widgets, the cloud, polling widgets, and review widgets for interactive and mobile learning. After administering the developed digital textbook to 20 high school students, it was shown a positive effectiveness on life science learning for high school students. Moreover, the digital textbook was evaluated as to promote student's abilities on creative designs and implementation related to biomimicry-based convergence. The digital textbook was also shown a favorable response on students' interest and self-directed learning on life science.

  • The existing 2D fashion Design System have a many limitation for application because diagraming piece database construct was weak as the function of design based on diagraming piece was low level. This paper design and construct the basic diagraming piece database to fashion design needed and through develop module of database search and modify, the system can easily manage the diagraming piece data and can create competitive and efficient design.

  • 2D 스프라이트는 일반적으로 2D게임에서 애니메이션 효과를 주기위하여 사용하는 방법으로서 이를 이용하여 많은 게임이 제작되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 2D 스프라이트를 이용하여 볼링 게임을 구현하는 효과적인 방법을 제시한다. 업데이트 부분과 렌더링 부분으로 게임 구조를 분리함으로서 간단하게 구현할 수 있는 장점을 가진다.

  • In this paper, we review the lowest order staggered discontinuous Galerkin methods on polygonal meshes in 2D. The proposed method offers many desirable features including easy implementation, geometrical flexibility, robustness with respect to mesh distortion and low degrees of freedom. Discrete function spaces for locally H1 and H(div) spaces are considered. We introduce special properties of a sub-mesh from a given star-shaped polygonal mesh which can be utilized in the construction of discrete spaces and implementation of the staggered discontinuous Galerkin method. For demonstration purposes, we consider the lowest case for the Poisson equation. We emphasize its efficient computational implementation using only geometrical properties of the underlying mesh.

  • 본 논문에서는 J2ME상에서 JSR-184를 이용한 모바일 3D 엔진을 설계 및 구현하였다. 기존에는 모바일 표준 3D 그래픽 API(C언어 기반)인 OpenGL-ES를 사용하여 모바일 3D 엔진을 제작해, 핸드폰에 애플리케이션을 작동시켰으나, 저수준(Low-Level)의 다양한 기능만 제공함으로써, 다양한 콘텐츠제작 및 호환성에 제약이 많았다. 이에 OpenGL-ES보다 더욱더 다양한 고수준(High-Level)의 API를 제공하면서도 GSM 폰을 중심으로 J2ME상에서 자바환경에 최적화된 모바일표준 3D 표준 API(Java언어 기반)인 JSR-184로 모바일 3D 엔진을 제작하고, 스킨드 메시(Skinned Mesh) 형태를 가지는 모델의 처리속도를 향상시키는 방법을 제시한다.
